Getting Up

Getting up on the first legs of the morning,
waiting to remember I know how to walk,
as my body changes shifts
and I emerge from the dream-mist
not knowing if I'm stepping out of a lifeboat or a cocoon,
if yesterday's oars have turned into wings,
or the silver blood of the mud bone
greened like old copper
at the scene of a crime
or if my heart has finally congealed
like a suspicious scar
on the mood ring of the moon
as I resent the orthodoxy of the petty rituals
I have yet to perform with blades and foam and water
on a face that almost scares me
it is so diminishingly mine.

Bénédiction (Benediction)

Le Poète apparaît en ce monde ennuyé,

the fact that hate groups
still exist in the 21st century
is an abomination!
whether under the guise
of political extremists,
terrorists, moral hardliners,
or religious fanatics....

But beyond the hysteria of phantom death panels, where is the abomination? Show me the provisions that will hurt consumers, because if you think a $110 billion a year tax break for working-class Americans to buy private health insurance is a government takeover, I welcome the debate.

Smoke In My Nostrils

I am sought by those who ask of me,
But i am found by those who do not seek me;
And to a nation who calls my name,
But abominable things are eaten by many.
Murders,
Rapists,
Persecutors,
Paedophiles,
Sodomites,
And the abomination of eating unclean animals!
But these are like the smoke in my nostrils,
And like a fire that burns all day long.

I will speak excellent things and,
I will open up my mouth with the right things of love;

Risk Of Infection

Condom use and birth control,
Casula sex and Aids epidemic,
The risk of infection with potentially significant shift;
But the pirce of a dog is like a cult prostitute.

Why would you revolt more and more? ! !
For the whole head is sick and the whole heart faints;
But Leviticus 18 verse 22 says:
'You shall not have sexual relations with a man, as with a woman,
It is abomination'.
