Quotes about Weakest

Hilaire Belloc

Ballade Of Modest Confession

My reading is extremely deep and wide;
And as our modern education goes—
Unique I think, and skilfully applied
To Art and Industry and Autres Choses
Through many years of scholarly repose.
But there is one thing where I disappoint
My numerous admirers (and my foes).
Painting on Vellum is my weakest point.

I ride superbly. When I say I 'ride'
The word's too feeble. I am one of those
That dominate a horse. It is my pride
To tame the fiercest with tremendous blows
Of heel and knee. The while my handling shows
Such lightness as a lady's. But Aroint
Thee! Human frailty with thy secret woes!
Painting on Vellum is my weakest point.

Painting on Vellum: not on silk or hide
Or ordinary Canvas: I suppose

Weakest Moments

Well, I hear you downstairs
Youre foolin around with your fathers brother
And your mothers gown
All the old heroes keep comin around
To find you, if youre still at home
So you lie in the sun, watch your body turn to tan
Your skin is oiled with the sweat of a man
He bought you a diamond ring, girl, to wear on your hand
And, baby, hes leaving tomorrow
Chorus:
Yeah, ill be with you in your weakest moments, uh huh
Yeah, ill be with you in your weakest moments
You say you remember when it was your world
And you were mister rubys girl
He gave you dreams and schemes that swirl
Around your head and your body
And when you drink sometimes, you try to liberate
And you stagger in the front yard till you find the gate
That swing on that thin line of love and hate
And baby, just let it go

The Weakest Thing

Which is the weakest thing of all
Mine heart can ponder?
The sun, a little cloud can pall
With darkness yonder?
The cloud, a little wind can move
Where'er it listeth?
The wind, a little leaf above,
Though sere, resisteth?

What time that yellow leaf was green,
My days were gladder;
But now, whatever Spring may mean,
I must grow sadder.
Ah me! a leaf with sighs can wring
My lips asunder -
Then is mine heart the weakest thing
Itself can ponder.

Yet, Heart, when sun and cloud are pined
And drop together,

With A Second Chance

This town has got me running scared
Were running out of time girl
Slogans painted everywhere
Messin up my dream world
Im trying to make it on my own
Find it all by myself
I can take the overflow,
Couldve been me or you
Just like somebody else
I aint going anywhere
Without you by my side girl
Someone like you comes around just one time
Even the weakest of hearts will survive
Chorus:
With a second chance
I know we can make it girl
With a second chance
Love will last forever
Breathing in this filthy air
Is tearing me in two girl

I'm truly worried about the country's direction. I can tell you this categorically, we've got the weakest president and the weakest governor in the history of my 50 years of public service.

The strength is conditional

You might be the mightiest
But in critical moments
You may have to lean on the weakest.
You might be the weakest
But in opportune moments
You may desert the mightiest.
Strength is conditional.

Take It Easy

When I was boxing in the ring
In 'Frisco back in ninety-seven,
I used to make five bucks a fling
To give as good as I was given.
But when I felt too fighting gay,
And tried to be a dinger-donger,
My second, Mike Muldoon. would say:
"Go easy, kid; you'll stay the longer."

When I was on the Yukon trail
The boys would warn, when things were bleakest,
The weakest link's the one to fail -
Said I: "by Gosh! I won't be weakest."
So I would strain with might and main,
Striving to prove I was the stronger,
Till Sourdough Sam would snap: "Goddam!
Go easy, son; you'' last the longer."
So all you lads of eighty odd
Take my advice - you'll never rue it:
Be quite prepared to meet your God,

Hearing Again From A Student Who Broke Down

her face pale as a fading moon
her hands trembling like the leaves blown by the wind
at dawn
she is
the thin, tiny girl in a row of the brusque and the thick faced
law students, so to speak she has become the weakest link
of their argument
why one has to study law and become a lawyer and compete
for power, money, and position

she finally retreated, broke down somewhere where she says she
screamed without tears, where she writes her poems finally
in inkless pen and imaginary sheets of paper
her mind exploded into some painful shrapnel

that is what happens when you are so true to a vocation
when you do not learn how to fake feelings
and eradicate some emotions
and be the woman and man
tough like steel and shrewd like the fox

The way it has to be

The way it has to be

The world is full of predators,
the strongest prey upon the week
It’s one of nature’s primal laws.

Only the fittest live to breed
and pass strong genes to their offspring.
They must be ruthless to succeed.

Mankind does not obey these rules
and by preserving weaker strains
Appears perhaps to prove that we are fools.

We breed beyond capacity
and damage the environment.
Avoiding the simplicity of laws

which Mother Nature made.
The weak and flawed will not survive

Weak may emerge

Weaker may emerge as strongest one
If support is received from everyone
Time and tide wait for none
Momentum has to be gained and work to be done

Whole world depends on sympathy and support
It will add to sweetness if we have good rapport
What else can we do to walk for an extra mile?
Life’s mission will be realized if thought for a while

No one can perform it alone
Even strong wind and rain has to accompany cyclone
It will have desirous or colossal effect of nature
In both the cases gloom is descending on future

It is natural cycle that prevents the weak
Strongest survive and weakest get stick
What else can be offered by him as defensive weapon?
When everything is at odd all and nothing clicks on
