Quotes about état

In two years, there were 22 military coups d'etat, essentially in Africa and the third world. The coup d'etat of Algiers, in 1965, is what opened the path.

Poem-aid de camp
My aid de camp
My poem
There is fear of
Coup d' etat.
I'm at
Daggers drawn
With myself
It's the poem
That rescue me.
My poem
My aid de camp.

Everywhere that the struggle for national freedom has triumphed, once the authorities agreed, there were military coups d'etat that overthrew their leaders. That is the result time and time again.

Not long ago, if you wanted to seize political power in a country you had merely to control the army and the police. Today it is only in the most backward countries that fascist generals, in carrying out a coup d'état, still use tanks. If a country has reached a high degree of industrialization the whole scene changes. The day after the fall of Khrushchev, the editors of Pravda, Izvestiia, the heads of the radio and television were replaced; the army wasn't called out. Today a country belongs to the person who controls communications.

Dolour Of The Human
Dolour of youth heartaches the world,
With so much flesh and bones that crack.
My mount especially found the raise
Of youth, the significant blush, and one to reclaim.
The dolour of the intermediate stage
Of human suffering and age created a coup d’etat,
To shorten the phrase, a blameworthy man is not woman,
Sudden plucking of feathers are for the birds, not words.
Dolour of old age make homo sapiens a master race,
As bold as nature itself, then this dolour of youth is final.
To improve one’s land is like the garden for the gardener,
And dolour of human strength resides in all ages.

The human soul has need of consented obedience and of liberty. Consented obedience is what one concedes to an authority because one judges it to be legitimate. It is not possible in relation to a political power established by conquest or coup d'etat nor to an economic power based upon money. Liberty is the power of choice within the latitude left between the direct constraint of natural forces and the authority accepted as legitimate. The latitude should be sufficiently wide for liberty to be more than a fiction, but it should include only what is innocent and should never be wide enough to permit certain kinds of crime.

Fleur D'automne
Fleur jaune, fleur triste, fleur pâle;
Le soleil t'a brûlée et la pluie t'a échaudée;
Fleur mûre, fleur maturée, fleur immaculée;
Malgré tout, tu as gardé ta beauté phénoménale.

A Scooby Doo, Boo
Why can't you see,
You will not do with me...
As you choose and please.
Or that you have special liberties,
To turn me on and off...
For pleasures to ignite at night.
To then from me get up and leave,
As if your have performing rights!
Admit that you can't commit.
With a scooby doo, boo...
To follow through,
And handle it to cop a coup d'état.
One today you wish to use.
There is no chemistry between us.
Or force to solicit to make pieces fit.
You can't do a scooby on me that moves.
With a reaction from me that convinces to prove.

Une amoureuse ardeur
Une amoureuse ardeur,
S'elle n'est feinte,
Ne chasse point du coeur
Soupçon et creinte.
Tel est l'état d'Amour
' Qui les liesses
' Echange tour à tour
' Et les tristesses.
Plus je suis amoureux,
Plus je soupçonne
Que ton coeur langoureux
Ailleurs s'adonne.
J'ay de toy bien souvent
Belles paroles,
Mais j'écri dans le vent
Telles frivoles.
