A Mighty Fortress Provides My God
A mighty fortress provides my God.
Against intruders perpetrating their conflicts.
And inside I am comforted with the knowing of it.
My experiences and tested faith has proven to me,
A truth no one can deceive...
To have me believe otherwise.
God and I have been too close for too long,
For the right reasons.
With a keeping of my activities known and protected.
No matter who lingers outside to advocate,
The passing of their judgements.

Color Blind
What color do you see
or is it what you believe?
I see a horse blue
and the grass purple,
or is it the other way round?
I live in Lexington
where horse racing is fun,
where grass is believed to be blue
and the horse is seen as purple.
You need not this believe.
You I do not deceive.
The horse stands proudly on the corner,
conceived in purple for the contest
to promote what the city is known for best.

Free your minds and the rest will follow,
For Satan had been able to deceive the minds of MANY!
And things in this world are NOT as you do see them.

What do we notice
when we look without observing?
What do we think
when we decide without understanding?
Appearances deceive.
It appears nothing is as it first appears.
I wonder about that.
I wonder about what I think.
Or, is it about what I think I think about?
Juxtaposed with other pondering perceptions
- those of the far more educated -
are my thoughts trivial and trite?
confused and confusing?
