Quotes about toured, page 3

Well, T Bone's had a remarkable career as a producer since the time that we first worked together. He was dividing his time between recording and producing when we first met, and touring. We toured together and we were great friends.

One of the great bands we opened up for was Priest back in '89. That was really great because at that time we had never met them, never toured with them before. They were a big influence on Slayer, so to open up for them was really cool.

That's when we decided to stop in '66. Everyone thought we toured for years, you know, but we didn't. I joined in '62, and we'd finished touring in '66 to go into the studio where we could hear each other... and create any fantasy that came out of anybody's brain.

Westerner
Winter wakes at west, sunny days lost to least.
we heard days are best, so we toured to east.
We flew over the ocean, there were many settlers,
Nepal is the nation, beauty, Kathmandu the city of temples.
We were over arrival, then we saw lots of bars.
We were way to far, so we hired car.
Cheap restaurants, best services, we had many bucks,
We have never been here, wow Nepal really rolls and rocks.
We drank, dance then we made a glide, then we make a ride
Birthplace of Buddha, they delight and the life is really bright.
We had lots of fun and gettogether, we mistakenly slept in theatre.
Nepal is really awesome, we say it, do travel here...

Mistinguette
He was my one and only love;
My world was mirror for his face.
We were as close as hand and glove,
Until he came with smiling grace
To say: 'We must be wise, my dear.
You are the idol of today,
But I too plan a proud career,--
Let's kiss and go our way.'
And then he soared to sudden fame,
And even queens applauded him.
A halo glorified his name
That dust of time may never dim.
And me,--I toured golden Brazil,
Yet as gay mobs were cheering me,
The sun seemed black, the brilliance chill,
My triumph mockery.
Today if I should say: 'Hello!'
He'd say: 'How are you?' I'd say: 'Fine.'

Dolphin
Where is the lovely dolphin
I used to swim beside?
We toured the sparkling grottos
or drifted with the tide
whereever fancy led.
My dolphins' eye was indigo
My dolphins' cheek was amber
Her back was dark as cuttle's ink
Her belly purple-silver
and her fins were lavender.
Oh, the waves are the laughter of water!
My dolphins' neck was supple
Smooth and sleek her sides
The purple sea behind her
would momently divide
and quickly fall behind.
I clung about her lightly
Or rode her like a mare

King Of The Castle
The tiger strolled alone again...
Unloved for all to see...
A lonely king revered by men
And yet no queen had he...
No tigress roared for him to hear,
No tigress caught his eye,
No tigress brought from far to near
To cause a sovereign's sigh...
The tiger strolled a little more...
His heart a heavy weight...
A lonely king who felt so poor
He couldn't celebrate...
No tigress toured his countryside,
No tigress sought his love,
No tigress thought of him with pride,
So was this life enough?
The tiger strolled another day...
With pining in his soul...

What She Gave
She gave you a postcard print
Of Marc Chagall. You pinned it
To the inside of your bedroom door.
It had a Florence postmark
On the back; you imagined her spittle
On the stamp, her tongue licking
Until the stamp stuck. You wished
You could have been at her side
When she toured the Florence sites;
Wished in your secret thoughts
You could have shared her bed;
Felt her twist and turn in the night,
Sensed her body’s closeness as you lay.
She had written neatly on the back;
Her words conveying that day’s tour
And things she’d seen and done with him.
Before you’d pinned the card to the door
You had smelt the surface for her scent
As if she’d secretly hid some message there
Amongst the smells and aromas of her hand.

I Stopped Comparing Myself To Others
Bong is happier with his private practice
of law in Ortigas.
i CAN deduce that from his smiles
as he toured Europe
for tax shelter
His conscious is clean
posing like Alexander the Great
at the Acropolis
at nighttime.
I like his pictures at Vatican
Must be heavenly there
Cool and huge
architecture
simply amazing and i still have the wish
to do it better in
Amsterdam
Rey loves to shampoo his
Beagle in Chicago
Puts more time on his dog
