Quotes about glaring, page 3

Only when human sorrows are turned into a toy with glaring colors will baby people become interested - for a while at least. The people are a very fickle baby that must have new toys every day.

Send-off
You came to the door
Saying farewell
In your delightful white dress
Glaring against your ebony hair.
The fluorescent light
In the concrete corridor
Mingled
With the viscous uneasiness
Of departure.

Turbulence ties
Ties strong
In strategy
Though vibrancy
Difficult to measures.
Quibbling with words
Common and regular
Glaring contradiction
With global consensus
Ties turbulent.
Trust mistrust
Distrust ruled
In full swing
Roller coaster
Failed to move.

Human Billboards
Look around, what do you view?
Logos n' brand names glaring at you
Nike, Adidas and many, many more
Whilst gullible billboards keep score

The Tempest
my eye
is caught by a photograph
my ear
records a voiceless cry
whispering brilliant streaks
tiny hairs all quivering on
my skin
raindrops pelting
crystal teeth glaring
tearing away
my tongue
forms a quiet reply
my nose
wiggling at a brooding sky

Experience
I’ve seen how the darkness
eases into new light.
The summer sun creases
the wan and weary night.
I know of noon’s ways,
harsh rant of glaring rays
haranguing to passion
the giddy, fevered day.
Then keen delta breezes
the painted sun consume
and send vermilion fleece
to greet the rising moon.

As if evil was creeping out
Early one morning
Heinrich, the six-year-old boy
gave a big scream
and came running out
op the bathroom.
There’s something in the loo
he said sacred
as if evil
was creeping out
of the sewerage system.
I went a to have a look
and behold a big healthy crab
were pinching with its claws
glaring with little eyes
into mine.

Skyscrapers
We tower into the blue sky
covered by glass,
concrete and steel
entangled, encaged
and at night
peep at the surroundings
with thousands of glaring eyes.
Lightning cables run
right through our veins
and breath,
through ventilation shafts.
We are worlds within the world,
where people like ant’s
work live and play.

Popular Christianity has for its emblem a gibbet, for its chief sensation a sanginary execution after torture, for its central mystery is an insane vengeance bought off by a trumpery expiation. But there is a nobler and profounder Christianity which affirms the sacred mystery of equality and forbids the glaring futility and folly of vengeance.

All’s Well
The clouds, which rise with thunder, slake
Our thirsty souls with rain;
The blow most dreaded falls to break
From off our limbs a chain;
And wrongs of man to man but make
The love of God more plain.
As through the shadowy lens of even
The eye looks farthest into heaven
On gleams of star and depths of blue
The glaring sunshine never knew!
