Quotes about jaguar, page 2
Zella
A broekn heart,
It is about the pain of love;
And like the lasting ally with prejudices.
Horse, snake, dolphin, jaguar, crow, cougar and moose!
I am Zella with a broken heart;
So watch your steps before you jump into the depths of love.

Dog Eats Dog
The crocodile attacks the elephant and the jaguar attacks the crocodile!
And this game of dog eats dog torture goes on in this world;
But the power-girls and the power-boys are about to learn from my muse.
God, dog, bog, log, cog, fog, tog, hog, jog, wog!
And of dowries and gifts;
But let me find humour in your eyes,
For this world is very deceitful and defiled all around us today.

Cat Up On The Cupboard
Hey cat, up there on the cupboard staring with your green eyes down on me,
Watcha doin' up there cat? Pretending that you are a panther, say?
Are you going to jump down on my head because I am your prey?
Better not you stupid cat, I'm bigger anyway
And I can beat you one-on-one though you'd be a tiger, say!
You jump on me you stupid cat and that will be your biggest bungle,
I will kick the nine-lives out of you though you'd be the jaguar of the jungle!

I Find Rest In Numbers
I find a time when numbers rest,
We will walk afterwards in words
In fear of them, in a scare of utter darkness.
The self-destruction has arrived,
The time has become ripe for the step.
Numbers and words are my language,
So I refrain from the talk of sleep,
Leaping forward like a jaguar,
And suggesting a happiness called Life.
My rest has a brick or two
In the walls of a house too comforting.
The most I call you is in words
That deliver praises full of righteousness.

Olympic Games started with a bang!
I too watched the grand spectacle
in my old T.V.,
Really it's beautiful
and a superb pageant!
But I have a regret
and a sad poem gathers in my heart of the colonial
poor friends who left behind?
They could run faster than Jaguar when in hunger
But unfortunately their loose-leaf passports were not endorsed
for flying overseas because they're still rural village birds
bare-footed?
[It's good to have an end to journey towards;
but it's the journey that matters, in the end.]-Le Guin

The Beginning of the Armadilloes
I've never sailed the Amazon,
I've never reached Brazil;
But the Don and Magdalena,
They can go there when they will!
Yes, weekly from Southampton
Great steamers, white and gold,
Go rolling down to Rio
(Roll down--roll down to Rio!).
And I'd like to roll to Rio
Some day before I'm old!
I've never seen a Jaguar,
Nor yet an Armadill--
He's dilloing in his armour,
And I s'pose I never will,
Unless I go to Rio
These wonders to behold--
Roll down--roll down to Rio--

With A New Moon
Generals,
To pay back;
Kings,
Queens,
Super natural!
With black colours.
Folk,
Lions,
Monsters! !
At the block,
Of the attack,
On your mission,
With bad boys.
Blade, shade!
The police,
Like the muse of the underworld!
But, drink milk to gain energy.
Early come early go!
You want it there so,
It was put in there!

Learning to Die
Death is not sudden, death does not grieve,
Death takes a while to achieve.
Death comes in layers;
Death is the mouse
From under the couch
At three am, and from under the stairs.
Death is the tumour on my mother’s skin,
Death is a jackhammer pounding in.
Death is a scrabbling crab on all fours,
Death is a jaguar on rough padded paws,
Lurking in the oven doors,
And hiding in the bureau drawers.
Death is the lump within my breast,
Death is the invited dinner guest.
Death is the cadaver,
A slab of cold meat
That lies on a plate.
Death is the wall of frozen sleet.

Music - Part 2
Music
is a jaguar on a rock,
stars spangled in the night,
flowers in a field,
a girl with ruffled hair,
a sign of ecstasy.
Music
is the organ and the choir,
angels exquisite in praise,
glory,
and the rainbow colours
in the clouds.
Music
is the violin, gliding fantasies
of sculpture in marble,
coral in the sea.

Monologues
JAGUAR
Nasal intonations of light and clicking tongues… publicity of windows stoning me with pent-up cries… smells of abattoirs… smells of long-dead meat.
Some day-end— while the sand is yet cozy as a blanket off the warm body of a squaw, and the jaguars are out to kill… with a blue-black night coming on and a painted cloud stalking the first star— I shall go alone into the Silence… the coiled Silence… where a cry can run only a little way and waver and dwindle and be lost.
And there…
where tiny antlers clinch and strain
as life grapples in a million avid points,
and threshing things
strike and die,
letting their hate live on
in the spreading purple of a wound…
I too
will make covert of a crevice in the night,
and turn and watch…
nose at the cleft's edge.
