I think the Lower East Side inspires me. That whole neighborhood, a lot of the people that I worked with, seeing what we've gone through in life, being given an opportunity to understand who I am; my identity, my culture, and my roots.

My Sanity Wrote a Suicide Note

Apart from the world I once knew
My mind is floating feeling blue
Looking for a reason to continue
Waiting for fairy tales to come true

But we all know fairy tales are not real
And reasons are void; we can't feel
So I guess it's time to break life's seal
I am now eating my very last meal

Does the past matters? I think not
Lets face reality; bloods do clot
Now lets get back to the present; these wires are hot
Ready to strangle my neck in a knot

Now that my sanity wrote a suicide note
Come and watch me slit my throat

Remembering October

October has arrived
once again and I
can feel the air
getting fridged as
it was ten years ago.

Its hard to believe how
fast the sands of time
have come and gone
through these winding
paths of truth and
deciete.

The memories that day
when you were set into
the earth for on final time
has become blurry through
the passage of time.

The Gomez's of 1970

Books on arms cradled above their waists,
Umbrellas over heads down to tireless feet,
Wearing slippers on a sun-heated street,
Here! They come as girls of the Gomez's.

Shiny-pomaded hair combed sideways,
Pens clipped between their earlobes,
Jeans' back pockets their notebooks rest,
They, too, were the boys of the Gomez's.

Believe it or not, it was a proven fact,
That rainfall was no longer a myth,
Rizals and the Rectos placed a bet on it,
If you see smile on the Principal's face.

In Room 5, Miss. A. de Guzman awaits,
To find out who's best among the bests.
In her Music, no one needed to belch,
Granting all would pass her English quiz.

The Blood Horse

GAMARRA is a dainty steed,
Strong, black, and of a noble breed,
Full of fire, and full of bone,
With all his line of fathers known;

Prisoner

I'm not a prisoner
I just can't be
Waiting every Tuesday to tune into tv
Being hypnotized by the stars
while they take away our rights to put us right behind bars

I can't be a prisoner
there's no way
Hey did you know I'm on their prescription drugs so that way
I can be a Slave to their political ways and not notice
The subliminal waves to be controlled and locked up and put away

I'm also eating a lot isn't that weird
fat, lazy and have no drive to vote
But hey I'll take a douhble cheeseburgers without fear

No I'm not a prisoner I'm bright
But wait if my government does take away my rights
Will I fight?
Probably not cause I'm scarred, what if I get hauled off to jail

Observed

There's this one tired of her waist size
Thing is she's a size five
Tired of the way food controls her life
So she gags herself with a butter knife
Saddening the dammed thing but it doesn't stop here
She's continued for a year

Think this will fade. nope
People make fun of her because she's skinnier then most the girls in her Grade
done with the ways shes felt
so gets addicted to a needle and a belt

The insults hurt more then the stomach acid does
And her weight is below average but
She won't stop and won't quit
And having fits because herioin leaves the body sick
Dosage after dose
Hoping to just grope on that one friend
But no one seems to want her and she can't cope
