Dragon bill drafted

Dragon bill drafted
Dozen came dozen went away
Drainage dramatic displayed
Came to dead end dragging dragging.

One should be willing to throw away a dozen ideas to come up with a good one, just as one should throw away a dozen words to come up with the right one.

I invented animals and birds - I had about two dozen. After working on them for six months, I sat down and just for fun wrote two dozen poems to accompany the drawings. It was for no one to every see, but a friend sent me in to an editor.

A skeletal Juggler and his charming pregnant wife

His wife whispers in the middle of the night;
' You make miracles that I know
Though the doctor says probably twins
I feel like a dozen and my womb is so weighty
Than this uppish World.
Oh! You are a wonderful creature
And you make miracles honey!
I love you more than my life.
If I deliver a dozen of magicians
They'll change the lopsided Globe
Into a well balanced World.'

Out upon it, I have lov'd

Out upon it, I have lov'd
Three whole days together;
And am like to love three more,
If it prove fair weather.

Time shall moult away his wings,
Ere he shall discover
In the whole wide world again
Such a constant lover.

But the spite on't is, no praise
Is due at all to me;
Love with me had made no stays,
Had it any been but she.

Had it any been but she,
And that very face,
There had been at least ere this
A dozen dozen in her place.

IF You Sincerely Choose to Excel

The only thing,
You may be able to prove...
Is your right to live your own life.

However,
In doing so...
You have no right to believe,
Your success or lack of it...
Depends on someone else,
Being depicted as less deserving.
Because that is what you wish.
And you make attempts,
For others to acknowledge this.

Be not that big of a fool.
IF you sincerely choose,
To excel.
Fools are a dime a dozen.
And today...
Anyone just may get two dozen,

Opinions

Everyone has a different opinion
on just about everything.
Some say they like something,
and there will be others who don’t.
An opinion divided there.
It is just the same if you asked a dozen people
to describe something they had all seen.
You would end up
with a dozen different descriptions there.
No two people are alike,
each have a different point of view.
Some many like something
for different reasons than yours.
We all have to take account of this
throughout our daily lives.

I Have Cried

I have anger and a dozen times I cried from it,
The angry men of this world go hungry from knowledge.
They have to know why questions are asked
And that when little men laugh they are ordered to.
Then the knowing strength has been displayed
Like the dozen animals of the year, the highly regarded.
Then anger is a fellowship with hate, forming formulae
Of the way we work and behave along the way.
The paths we tread are meandering as we mature,
But young music astounds the night as it nears.
Vanish, match the music and astound with laughter
So that the whole ballroom starts to clap, and to clap.

Spring Came

Spring came and bitter presents were exchanged,
There was no outward sigh or crossing arranged;
Just the dozen other passengers of the bus weighed
On the mind of a member of a hospice who decayed.
The knife was awaiting him, approaching the island,
Which was his body and trumpet, the very island.
On the crossing he determined the years,
A dozen other passengers, who came with beers.
He was greeted by the regarding couples,
And so aboard the ferry of earth was a resident of archangels.
The only guilt suffered was with a smile,
There was no reason to distrust the other file.
One night, over tea.
