Quotes about Adversity, page 2

Three hundred years ago a prisoner condemned to the Tower of London carved on the wall of his cell this sentiment to keep up his spirits during his long imprisonment: 'It is not adversity that kills, but the impatience with which we bear adversity.

Initially, I know that I handled it worse than she did and I think partly because I've always been... every bit of adversity I've faced up until the last year and a half is adversity I brought upon myself - or the opposing teams have given me.

Upon Your Stunned And Too Late Face

It is too late to reverse,
A dispersing adversity.
It's too late to apologize,
For those conscious mistakes made.

Those opportunities to do this were given.
Now from the heavens,
Spiritual warriors descend.
And nothing on Earth can defend against them.

It is too late to reverse,
A dispersing adversity.
Or come to perceive...
The Almighty is nothing more,
Than a myth to be deceived.

You will know it's too late...
When the look of awe and shock is felt,
Upon your stunned and too late face!
Coming soon from outer space near you.

Close By But In Disguise

Have you ever been admonished,
By what some say?
Have you ever been astonished,
By what you believed would go away?
Did you ever take offense,
By criticisms meant...
Just to see you get a 'rise',
By adversity close by.
But in disguise...
Hiding.

Have you ever been incensed,
By directed wickedness?
Have you ever tried to vent...
But received discouragement.
Did you ever stop to think,
You drive yourself to the brink...
By those who wish this seen.

Did you ever take offense,

Adversity

Sometimes it's the trial that makes us grow
The hard times when I really know
It's when time keeps us apart
That I know I'm in your heart
Every time we don't talk for awhile
I have the biggest smile
Because talking again is the sweetest relief
My consolation before He returns like a thief
It's when our relationship whatever it may be
Is tested by time and distance... that's when it's real to me
The longer we're apart the more I want you
The farther we're apart the more I feel you
I'm not sure if this is love, but I know no other
Not sure if this is love or just a cover
But when adversity attacks- that's when my love grows strong
That's when I know this will last long
Adversity makes our love, last a lifetime.

Striving For Suffering

It is not achievements or goals or trophies
Or accolades or awards or the end itself
For which we strive, we as humans think that
Is what we desire, but
What we really seek is adversity and suffering
We all desperately long for it

Yo may at first think it strange or untrue
But in fact it is what we all yearn for, even you
Simply getting a trophy or award means nothing
IT is the work, the blood, sweat, and tears
That we all really desire, it's that something
There's a voice inside everyone hears
Pushing them to do more, to achievement,
but that achievement is wrought in suffering
Empowered by the pain and time, as if heaven-sent
It is only in the trial that we can have triumph
Only in adversity we can make the jump
From mundane normalcy to achievement, thus it is
Truly the pain itself that separates normalcy

In The Tiredness Of Life

The survival stage of being,
Living day by day travel in,
Travel out in division of life.

Fatigue, weary, pain,
Inside whole being;

Struggle, adversity, experiences,
Trouble, are great suffering.

The eyes feel every drops of pain,
The heart and mind combine with
Breath fade away,

To carry the cross by the way
Experience in any kind event journey,
What it is all about inside life?

all things made by choice, permission
Of God to happen, to polish the wholeness

Geoffrey Chaucer

La Priere de Nostre Dame

A.

Almighty and all-merciable Queen,
To whom all this world fleeth for succour,
To have release of sin, of sorrow, of teen!
Glorious Virgin! of all flowers flow'r,
To thee I flee, confounded in errour!
Help and relieve, almighty debonair,
Have mercy of my perilous languour!
Vanquish'd me hath my cruel adversair.

B.

Bounty so fix'd hath in thy heart his tent,
That well I wot thou wilt my succour be;
Thou canst not warne that with good intent
Asketh thy help, thy heart is ay so free!
Thou art largess of plein felicity,
Haven and refuge of quiet and rest!
Lo! how that thieves seven chase me!

Reverence

Backing by dido:
Slow, slow, there's got to be, slow (8x)
Maxi jazz:
Take my words and my base,
Taste, and then swallow me,
You're chasing the devil,
'cause you never lift you follow me,
For quality. and i make no apology
For linking my thinking with computer technology.
'cause this is like a modern day, hymn
For the new church.
I search for the truth.
I've got a hole in my tooth.
I'm on [?].
I'm from the street university,
Where we learn to earn even in times of adversity.
And i will find a easy way out of a hard time,
Petit crime sometimes.
But now i'm inclined to find
A fresh direction (2x)

Break Free! - Have a Ball!

Time to break free, one's cup of tea may not be to all taste,
past history's stale news, let be, haste, challenge chased, no waste!
Song bird of time migrates, sublime rewarding melody,
wide wings unfurl, from spiral twirl, soar to true rhapsody.

Time to escape, dropp nightshade drape, spring sprightly sings fresh air,
shed strings, red tape of every shape, fresh future fair prepare.
Shift key, click mouse, write waltz like Strauss, carouse in harmony,
drown frowns, don't grouse laze louse round house, spurn tale_spin gravity.

Discard hard times, from prose to rhymes switch life that pain shrugs off,
see light, delight quite free from fright, breathe out and fight rough cough!
Ignore moods poor, pain reign's downpour, sore thumb, fools dumb who bore,
far more expect, hope's scope elect, reject despond's dark core!

Time to rebound, life’s boat aground goodbye waves tidal waves,
from hurts that hound heart thought strung, bound, a clear approach now braves
life’s slings and arrows, narrow minds, discovers empathy,
that brings marshmallows, wide wings hallows, sheds self-sympathy.
