Everybody Wants To Feel Like You

I wake up to a clock thats ringing
Birds are singing on my telephone line
I work all day and I chase my woman
Why dont she chase me sometime?
Everybody wants to be wanted
I mean I aint no scarecrow cop
I dont need no transalazation
I dont need no diddiley bop
Next time tell me that you want me
Put your little foot inside of my shoe
Next time tell me that you need me
Everybody wants to feel like you
I used to love you so hard in the morning
Id make you stutter and roll your eyes
I put your mind on a brief vacation
To the land of the lost surprise
You got a heart that beats like mine love
You got a bell that rings so true
I get this feeling that I got to tiptoe
Round every little thing you do.

Kissing Down The Telephone Line

With loving words,
we coo and dove to one another
over the telephone line.
Blowing kisses to one another
down the telephone.
Now tomorrow when we meet,
we’ll take them up for real
that’s if our mothers let us,
because you are only two
and I am only three.

My Eyes, My Mind and My Heart Knew

Anyday.
Anyway,
You want me!
If that day is today...
That would be okay.

And,
Even if you said to me...
Let's delay that love,
I have anticipated.
I will not debate it.
I would just wait.
With quiet faith.
Time is not an issue.
When we met,
I celebrated.

Never will I stray from you,
To be left alone and desperate too!
My eyes, my mind and my heart knew,
My love for you was true.
You want to be sure of that!
Do whatever you must do.

Anyday.
Anyway,
You want me!
If that day is today...
That would be okay.

Even if you took forever,
Eternity will still be ours...
To be there together,
Existing with this love among the stars.

Telephone Line

Hello--how are you
Have you been alright, through all those lonely nights,
Thats what Id say, Id tell you everything,
If youd pick up that telephone.
Hey--how you feelin
Are you still the same
Dont you realize the things we did were all for real not a dream,
I just cant believe
Theyve all faded out of view.
I look into the sky
(the love you need aint gonna see you through.)
And I wonder why
(the little things are finally coming true.)
Chorus
Telephone line, give me some time, Im living in twilight
Telephone line, give me some time, Im living in twilight
O.k. so no--ones answering,
Well cant you just let it ring a little longer
Ill just sit tight, through the shadows of the night
Let it ring for evermore.
Chorus -- repeat

My Alphabet Poem

day is hot
sittng on my swivel chair
trying to chase
wild ideas
to describe what i feel
yet i cannot
fsthom what is within
i stared on the mute keyboard
that seems to look at me
with blind eyes
i saw the W and the I
and i thought of something wild..
wild dreams perhaps?
or weird nights when
angels chased demons
floating on black clouds
my mind set no way so i look at the T
and the H and i thought
of thine shall i wrote about her?
but my memries of her lost charms
seems to fade into morning disaster
so it was no deal
and i looked at the M and the E
and i thought of Me but then
what shall i write about myself
when i do not even know the real me.
and i gaze at the L and of the O
and i said maybe i can write
about love but then my heart is hollow
deep within my emotions
were all bottled up
thrown in deep labyrinth
there is no way i can do it
and then there was the P and i had the C
should i write about peace? but then
there is a great war brewing
between my mind and my heart
it is so hard to make desicions when
your mind refuse the decisions of the heart
and the heart do not folow
what the mind says it got to be
and yes i lokked at the? ? ?
and so will i question God or man?
the answers are not within
the hearts minds and souls of
uncaring man and
God sees the truth but waith until when?
when stars never shines
and flowers never bloom
and yeah i glance at the....
and i thought of the end
of the endless life on crazy
but beautiful world
and i said let me end this weird poem
created by the weird mind
of a weird poet like me
less i bored you till the end....
......
....
...
i am done with my alphabet poem

My Little Secret

Verse one (kandi):
Step out my house, one in the morning,
Get in my car, go put it on him.
Park on the other side of the street so that,
Everybody in the hood won't know that.
It's me he's been coming to see,
And we do this every night of the week,
We don't have to talk to each other on the phone,
'cause i know what's up when i hear my beep.
Chorus:
You're my secret,
And that's how we should keep it,
They think so,
And they wanna know,
But they don't really know.
You're my little secret,
And that's how we should keep it,
They think so,
And they wanna know,
But they don't really know about you and me baby.
Verse two (tiny):
If we stop talking for a long time,
It'll be hard to get you off my mind.
'cause i got feelings for you i can't hold back,
I want to but i can't show that.
It's me he keeps coming to see,
And we do this every night of the week,
We don't even talk to each other on the phone,
'cause i know what's up when i hear my beep.
Repeat chorus
Bridge (latocha):
I like to be in the room with you and your girlfriend,
The fact that she don't know turns me on.
And she'll never never guess in a million years,
That we've got this thing going on.
Rap by harlem world:
Now from harlem world to the atl
I got chicks that'll make me yell, make me swell,
Make me tell all the things that i done,
So much playa hating gotta cling to my gun.
But son, it's not a game,
'cause you ain't getting it,
Consider it instead of being inconsiderate,
I use every weapon i choose and get rid of it,
Illeterate cats only getting a little bit.
I play till the day i fall out,
Ball till the day a ball out,
Still feel the rush and brawl out,
Never push the whips and stall out,
People wanna know what it's all 'bout,
But so so and all out,
Never win a small pour out,
Chicks watch our wrists while the crys pour out,
I score 'bout two minutes before i soar out,
Got lear jets and coups looking like a poor house.
Repeat chorus
Break (latocha):
The love that we share stays on my mind,
You're always gonna be a little secret of mine.
The love that we share stays on my mind,
You're always gonna always, gonna be my little secret.
Repeat chorus

Letters From A Man In Solitary

1
I carved your name on my watchband
with my fingernail.
Where I am, you know,
I don't have a pearl-handled jackknife
(they won't give me anything sharp)
or a plane tree with its head in the clouds.
Trees may grow in the yard,
but I'm not allowed
to see the sky overhead...
How many others are in this place?
I don't know.
I'm alone far from them,
they're all together far from me.
To talk anyone besides myself
is forbidden.
So I talk to myself.
But I find my conversation so boring,
my dear wife, that I sing songs.
And what do you know,
that awful, always off-key voice of mine
touches me so
that my heart breaks.
And just like the barefoot orphan
lost in the snow
in those old sad stories, my heart
-- with moist blue eyes
and a little red runny rose --
wants to snuggle up in your arms.
It doesn't make me blush
that right now
I'm this weak,
this selfish,
this human simply.
No doubt my state can be explained
physiologically, psychologically, etc.
Or maybe it's
this barred window,
this earthen jug,
these four walls,
which for months have kept me from hearing
another human voice.

It's five o'clock, my dear.
Outside,
with its dryness,
eerie whispers,
mud roof,
and lame, skinny horse
standing motionless in infinity
-- I mean, it's enough to drive the man inside crazy with grief --
outside, with all its machinery and all its art,
a plains night comes down red on treeless space.

Again today, night will fall in no time.
A light will circle the lame, skinny horse.
And the treeless space, in this hopeless landscape
stretched out before me like the body of a hard man,
will suddenly be filled with stars.
We'll reach the inevitable end once more,
which is to say the stage is set
again today for an elaborate nostalgia.
Me,
the man inside,
once more I'll exhibit my customary talent,
and singing an old-fashioned lament
in the reedy voice of my childhood,
once more, by God, it will crush my unhappy heart
to hear you inside my head,
so far
away, as if I were watching you
in a smoky, broken mirror...

2
It's spring outside, my dear wife, spring.
Outside on the plain, suddenly the smell
of fresh earth, birds singing, etc.
It's spring, my dear wife,
the plain outside sparkles...
And inside the bed comes alive with bugs,
the water jug no longer freezes,
and in the morning sun floods the concrete...
The sun--
every day till noon now
it comes and goes
from me, flashing off
and on...
And as the day turns to afternoon, shadows climb the walls,
the glass of the barred window catches fire,
and it's night outside,
a cloudless spring night...
And inside this is spring's darkest hour.
In short, the demon called freedom,
with its glittering scales and fiery eyes,
possesses the man inside
especially in spring...
I know this from experience, my dear wife,
from experience...

3
Sunday today.
Today they took me out in the sun for the first time.
And I just stood there, struck for the first time in my life
by how far away the sky is,
how blue
and how wide.
Then I respectfully sat down on the earth.
I leaned back against the wall.
For a moment no trap to fall into,
no struggle, no freedom, no wife.
Only earth, sun, and me...
I am happy.

7 Days Over You

Well its friday night and Im waiting
On your call girl, like I do
Am I wasting my time by this telephone line
Waiting on your call to come through
Chorus:
I should be already over you
Tell me mama, what can I do
Its been a long hard road that you put me through
Seven days over you
Seven days, seven days over you
Seven days over you
Kick it
I kick and fight for you baby
But thats never enough for you
Youve been twisted and torn since the day you were born
You make a game of breaking hearts in two
Now I want to give up but I dig the rush too much
I guess thats what love will do
So drag your heart-stopping mind trip downtown, girl
By friday night Ill find someone new
Chorus
Lord knows what you put me through
Already over you, tell me mama what can I do (repeat)
Chorus out

Wont You Feel Good That Morning

(leslie / day)
Cant take no more lies or cheating
I had took a long hard
Dragged out miserable life you see
Nothing means much to me
Stand up call out
Dont take nothing low down
Its much better
When youre making your own way
Your own say
Wont we feel good that morning
Going along our way together
Wont we feel good that day hey hey hey hey
Going along together
Taking our time in seeking our pleasure
Wont we feel good that day hey hey hey hey
Wont we feel good that morning
Going along our way
Wont we feel good that morning
Wont we feel good that day
Wont we feel good that morning
Wont we feel good that day
Stand up call out
Dont take nothing low down
Its much better
When youre making your own way
Your own say
Wont we feel good that morning
Going along our way together
Wont we feel good that day hey hey hey hey
Going along together
Taking our time in seeking our pleasure
Wont we feel good that day hey hey hey hey
Wont we feel good that morning
Going along our way together
Wont we feel good that day hey hey hey hey

Trying Times

[Talk:]
Baby I'm so glad your here
'Cause I have so many things to tell you
So many things to talk to you about
'Cause your the strength I hold onto
And I hope I'm the strength that you hold onto
So we can strive together and be perfect
Til' death do us part

The nights gone the morning here
And soon it's time to talk about
Where we stand and where we plan
To be in life long years I need to know
I keep crying tears of joy
I guess that's what you're put here for
To change these tears of pain
To tears of happiness

Through these trying times
trying to get the best of me
I'm still finding time to show I care
With my crying eyes
I see contentment because of you

Trials and tribulations build up walls
In front of faces made of stone
Yet we stand strong enough
To break the walls down to journey on
But I know if we just bond our hearts
There will be nothing that will stand in our way
And we'll be together forever and a day

Through these trying times
trying to get the best of me
I'm still finding time to show I care
With my crying eyes
I see contentment because of you

Disasterology

The Badger is the thirteenth astrological sign.
My sign. The one the other signs evicted: unanimously.

So what? ! Think I want to read about my future
in the newspaper next to the comics?

My third grade teacher told me I had no future.
I run through snow and turn around
just to make sure I've got a past.

My life's a chandelier dropped from an airplane.
I graduated first in my class from alibi school.

There ought to be a healthy family cage at the zoo,
or an open field, where I can lose my mother
as many times as I need.

When I get bored, I call the cops, tell them
there's a pervert peeking in my window!
then I slip on a flimsy nightgown, go outside,
press my face against the glass and wait...

This makes me proud to be an American

where drunk drivers ought to wear necklaces
made from the spines of children they've run over.

I remember my face being invented
through a windshield.

All the wounds stitched with horsehair
So the scars galloped across my forehead.

I remember the hymns cherubs sang
in my bloodstream. The way even my shadow ached
when the chubby infants stopped.

I remember wishing I could be boiled like water
and made pure again. Desire
so real it could be outlined in chalk.

My eyes were the color of palm trees
in a hurricane. I'd wake up
and my id would start the day without me.

Somewhere a junkie fixes the hole in his arm
and a racing car zips around my halo.

A good God is hard to find.

Each morning I look in the mirror
and say promise me something
don't do the things I've done.

An end to activities

Day is full of hectic activities and come to an end
Tile to pack up in time and feelers are sent
You are taken off the mind for the moment
Homeward journey with lot of hopes and movements

Remembering all advices given before leaving home
Not to miss a single call especially coming from
No energy is left in body still fell fresh and energetic
Feet move in one direction without being pulled from magnet

It is real home coming with no worries or tension
Days work left in office and not to find any mention
It is real test to hide it in most sober and diplomatic way
Wife too may not notice while serving water in tray

Evening brings special message of making another move
All the fears and anxieties are left behind or removed
The mild wind may blow from all the directions
It is time to get fresh and prepare for love actions

It may be good move by nature to offer timely rest
Human beings may not prefer any break for the test
They may go on working endlessly and achieve the best
Still all creatures prefer to come back to their nest

It is quite logical to be with dear ones and relatives
They are most desirable members and remain active
You are looked after well and supported in the initiatives
Your status and maturity will be appreciated by the native

When you extend your feet in relaxation mood?
It may add to and open up your appetite for nice food
Natural it had to be delicious and quite tasteful
Whole day work may look very nice and purposeful

It is pause period between active and inactive duration
You may be struggling with lot many questions
This may provide golden opportunity to prepare and brace
When you are in office next day you are fully prepared to face

Pleasant and cool evenings are thought ground to explore
It may divert your attention to seek new and more
It may add up to your energy for full conservation
You may be able to think positive with simple observation

Let evenings be not spoiled by hasty actions or lot of worries
Leave behind everything get rid of them by saying sorry
It may certainly create new space for carrying good proposals
You may find yourself in comfortable position for disposals

It is nice to be at home in joyous and happy environment
It may look natural if they remain peaceful without any comments
It has to be congenial at any point of given time
You may think of nice morning with bright sunshine

Victoriaw: she have beeg war, E-gyp's de nam' de place--
An' neeger peep dat's leev 'im dere, got very black de face,
An' so she's write Joseph Mercier, he's stop on Trois Rivieres--
'Please come right off, an' bring wit' you t'ree honder voyageurs.

'I got de plaintee sojer, me, beeg feller six foot tall--
Dat's Englishman, an' Scotch also, don't wear no pant at all;
Of course, de Irishman's de bes', raise all de row he can,
But noboddy can pull batteau lak good Canadian man.

'I geev you steady job for sure, an' w'en you get 'im t'roo
I bring you back on Canadaw, don't cos' de man un sou,
Dat's firs'-class steamboat all de way Kebeck an' Leeverpool,
An' if you don't be satisfy, you mus' be beeg, beeg fool.'

We meet upon Hotel Dufresne, an' talk heem till daylight,
An' Joe he's treat so many tam, we very near get tight,
Den affer w'ile, we mak' our min' dat's not bad chance, an' so
Joseph Mercier he's telegraph, 'Correc', Madame, we go.'

So Joe arrange de whole beez-nesse wit' Queen Victoriaw;
Two dollar day--work all de tam--dat's purty good l'argent!
An' w'en we start on Trois Rivieres, for pass on boar' de ship,
Our frien' dey all say, 'Bon voyage,' an' den Hooraw! E-gyp'!

Dat beeg steamboat was plonge so moche, I'm 'fraid she never stop--
De Capitaine's no use at all, can't kip her on de top--
An' so we all come very sick, jus' lak one leetle pup,
An' ev'ry tam de ship's go down, de inside she's go up.

I'm sorry spoke lak dis, ma frien', if you don't t'ink it's so,
Please ax Joseph Mercier hese'f, or Aleck De Courteau,
Dat stay on bed mos' all de tam, so sick dey nearly die,
But lak' some great, beeg Yankee man, was never tole de lie.

De gang she's travel, travel, t'roo many strange contree,
An' ev'ry place is got new nam', I don't remember, me,
We see some fonny t'ing, for sure, more fonny I can tell,
But w'en we reach de Neel Riviere, dat's feel more naturel.

So many fine, beeg sojer man, I never see before,
All dress heem on grand uniform, is wait upon de shore,
Some black, some green, an' red also, cos' honder dollar sure,
An' holler out, 'She's all right now, here come de voyageurs!'

We see boss Generale also, he's ride on beeg chameau,
Dat's w'at you call Ca-melle, I t'ink, I laugh de way she go!
Jomp up, jomp down, jomp ev'ry place, but still de Generale
Seem satisfy for stay on top, dat fonny an-i-mal.

He's holler out on Joe Mercier, 'Comment câ va Joseph
You lak for come right off wit' me, tak' leetle ride yourseff?'
Joseph, he mak' de grand salut, an' tak' it off hees hat,
'Merci, Mon Generale,' he say, 'I got no use for dat.'

Den affer we was drink somet'ing, an' sing 'Le Brigadier,'
De sojer fellers get prepare, for mak' de embarquer,
An' everybody's shout heem out, w'en we tak' hole de boat
'Hooraw pour Queen Victoriaw!' an' also 'pour nous autres.'

Bigosh; I do hard work mese'f upon de Ottawa,
De Gatineau an' St. Maurice, also de Mattawa,
But I don't never work at all, I'sure you dat's a fack
Until we strike de Neel Riviere, an' sapré Catarack!

'Dis way, dat way, can't keep her straight,' 'look out, Bateese, look out!'
'Now let her go'--'arrete un peu,' dat's way de pilot shout,
'Don't wash de neeger girl on shore,' an' 'prenez garde behin','
'W'at's matter wit' dat rudder man? I t'ink he's goin' blin'!'

Some tam of course, de boat's all right, an' carry us along
An' den again, we mak portage, w'en current she's too strong
On place lak' dat, we run good chance, for sun-struck on de neck,
An' plaintee tam we wish ourseff was back on ole Kebeck.

De seconde Catarack we pass, more beeger dan de Soo,
She's nearly t'orty mile for sure, it would astonish you,
Dat's place t'ree Irishman get drown, wan day we have beeg storm,
I s'pose de Queen is feel lak cry, los' dat nice uniform!

De night she's very, very cole, an' hot upon de day,
An' all de tam, you feel jus' lak you're goin' melt away,
But never min' an' don't get scare, you mak' it up all right,
An' twenty poun' you los' dat day, she's comin' back sam' night.

We got small bugle boy also, he's mebbe stan' four foot,
An' firs' t'ing ev'ry morning, sure, he mak' it toot! toot! toot!
She's nice enough upon de day, for hear de bugle call,
But w'en she play before daylight, I don't lak dat at all.

We mus' get up immediatement, dat leetle feller blow,
An' so we start heem off again, for pull de beeg batteau,
De sojer man he's nice, nice boy, an' help us all he can,
An' geev heem chance, he's mos' as good lak some Canadian man.

Wall all de tam, she go lak dat, was busy every day,
Don't get moche chance for foolish-ness, don't get no chance for play,
Dere's plaintee danger all aroun', an' w'en we're comin' back
We got look out for run heem safe, dem sapré Catarack.

But w'ere's de war? I can't mak' out, don't see no fight at all!
She's not'ing but une Grande Piqnique, dat's las' in all de fall!
Mebbe de neeger King he's scare, an' skip anoder place,
An' pour la Reine Victoriaw! I never see de face.

But dat's not ma beez-nesse, ma frien', I'm ready pull batteau
So long she pay two dollar day, wit' pork an' bean also;
An' if she geev me steady job, for mak' some more l'argent,
I say, 'Hooraw! for all de tam, on Queen Victoriaw!'

Carigieburn Wood

Sweet fa's the eve on Craigieburn,
And blythe awakens the morrow,
But a' the pride o' spring's return
Can yield me nocht but sorrow.

I see the flowers and spreading trees,
I hear the wild birds singing;
But what a weary wight can please,
And care his bosom wringing?

Fain, fain would I my griefs impart,

If I conceal it langer.

If thou refuse to pity me,
If thou shalt love anither,
When yon green leaves fade frae the tree,

Creative Mind!

Creative mind!
In the land of the heart of your muse to satisfy me;
But, what about those in the snow?

Creative mind!
Out of love in the land of your muse;
But, are you ready to learn? ! !
For, the muse of this love is all about us.

Creative mind!
Justified by the muse of your love;
And like your works as seen by all,
But, try to be yourself always.

Creative mind!
Love it and enjoy it and play with it;
For, the muse of my love is very fast and very easy! !
And like the joy around you in the land of peace,
But, try to understand my sweet muse of love always.

In A State

My mind is in a state
His soul all seem to do is took my fate
Well I try to be space (?)
But all the world was crushing at the gate
This time...
This time...
Reality's stroke me in-between the eyes
My mind is in a state
As everything i miss it comes to late
So I tried and disappear
To do it's only one way out of fear
This time...
This time...
Reality's stroke me between the eyes
My mind is in a state
But all I need to do is change my pace
And I know it's fear the fate
But happiness is foggin' as embrace
This time...
This time...
This time...
This time...
This time...
This time...

I Have So Much To Tell You

'I have so much to tell you, but I do not want to do it with pen and ink;
I hope to see you soon, and then we will talk personally' *
My mind ruminates upon the time when I may impart what I think-
As I have said thoughts, as I ponder most passionately-
Regarding my life: my hopes and dreams,
Which I hope include you, and shall, it seems!

I shall bide yet, until I may adoringly gaze
Into those angelic eyes, which never cease to amaze;
My loving heart beats ever-faster even still,
When ponderance is gathered upon what will,
God-willing, be this glory-my ever-purposeful calling-
The fountain from which my hope does eternally spring!

I await our consort, with a faithful patience,
As I thank God every day for His thoughtful Omniscience!

The Life of One

The life of one is good
The life of one is bad
The life of one is glad
The life of one is sad
The life of one smiles
The life of one cries
The life of one see's the brightness of the sun
The life of one see's the dust rolling of there shoes
The life of one see's the beutifull of the night sky
The life of one see's the horror of darkness in the night
The life of one see's the beutifull in people
The life of one see's the ugly in people
The life of one is happy
The life of one is lost
The life of one is in attention
The life of one doesnt give a shit
The life of one cares for others
The life of one acts like he/she dont know you
The life of one see's the birds singing threw out the day
The life of one see's the shallows of the underworld
The life of one see's the wolrds happenings
The life of one see's the nothing at all
The life of one see's the person in you
The life of one see's the flow of nothing
The life is just life

If I Dont Have You

Every day girl I wake up and pray
That youll come back home
And dont take to long
cause since youve been gone
Everythings gone all wrong
I wish you were here
Holding me near
You know Id go
Out of my mind
If you ever left
My heart beats high
So Im begging you please
Bring your sweet love back to me(please come back to me)
Chorus
If I dont have you(dont have you)
To hold on to(to hold on to)
I cant go on
In this world alone
Baby its true
If I dont have you
If you said good-bye(you said good-bye)
Girl I would die(girl I would die)
Im a star with no light
A day with no night
If I dont have you
Late at night
I reach to hold you tight
But youre not there(youre just not there baby)
I know you still care(I know you still care)
And all I need
Youre soft and love, lovely kiss
You give to me (to me)
So tenderly
Will you still feel
The time will stand still
When I see you, baby you will
So hurry home
You know you made me just so
Chorus(x2)
You know Ill go crazy without you
Chorus
