Thankful To My Angel
He took my life
Without my say
This will forever be his way
The hurt I felt beneath his grip
His constant sense of ownership
But he does not control my soul
For an angel has made he whole
My angel gave me wings to fly
My angel showed me all the sky
His big strong arms
Hold me close
Shield me from pain
He has no controlling shame
His words comfort me
His eyes show me love
My trust restored
My love felt true
My angel took me up
I flew.
