Snake and ladder
Snake and Ladder
Am running,
Running and gasping through the ways unknown.
I don’t know where to go,
I don’t know where to hide.
Running and gasping through the ways unknown-
But I know, they still want to hunt me.
Am sad and doomed-
But no tear dropp in my eyes.
I had a river in my eyes-
The day they told me, am alone.
Still running to hide,
Hide in a heaven.
I don’t know you, freedom,
May be I am running to my destiny.
But I don’t know how long and how far,
Still I can run.
Still chasing me, still hunting me-
They still want me, why?
I just threw a stone-
And it just touched their armor.
Can a stone beat a war tank?
But I know, still they want to hunt me.
I have played snake and ladder,
But no ladders now.
I don’t know how I can win,
I just want to hide and quit.
Running through streets-
Stained and messed with blood.
My ears are deaf, am I pretending?
I jumped above barbed wires, a routine.
Can’t see the children crying, lost in roads.
Can’t hear the blasts, am deaf.
Where to go? Where to hide?
I don’t have a home, a family.
Mother, father, brothers and sisters,
They live in my memoirs, everyday.
But I know, they still want to hunt me.
Far here, I know your childhoods-
You play with guns that are unreal.
With us, it’s real-
We just can wish if that were unreal.
