Living on a Hope
Living on a hope
Looking through blind eyes
Whispers on a silent night
Which fall on deaf ears
As the shattering rain drops
Lull me to sleep
It’s not what I’ve dreamed of
But what it really is
Distant memories of what used to be
Current memories of present times
Written on the clouds above
This is beyond, so unpleasant
Maybe not all that glitters is gold
Awaiting the fair princess
The felling of her hand on my face
So pail (in color) and cold (in feeling)
Lips touch lips and breaths intertwine
Emotionally unstable is the prince
Who is now a frog
Why the pain and misery
What lures the creature into a beast
What fuels the emotion into sheer tears
Questions remain unanswered
As the night alls to a halt
Well the frog may be the prince
But what is the princess
Pray for the prince as the battle never ends
Since what you see is a prince battle hate over love
A romance which may never end
Or should have never started in the first place
Draw your courage and fight for what you believe in
And always let your heart lead the way
Through a strong but definite mind.
