I see him daily
He doesn't follow

As a robin's egg
But those eyes

Hungry
Begging eyes
Pull me closer
A cowboy's lasso
Around my waist
I rear back
A bucking mustang
But my strength
Is not enough
I reach into my pocket
A quarter dollar
The ridges
Roll across my fingers
Locked on those
Icicle eyes
I dropp it to the ground
The lasso is released
The spartan finds his sword
