That Which Caused My Loneliness

That which caused my loneliness,
Are disagreements.
My pride hurt so much that it might never heal.

A slight mistake,
I must pay for it.
Were we to turn back time,
I might have been the victor.

Melancholic I feel,
I wander around aimlessly.
Truth be told,
Why have I reacted in such a way?
The answer might be thus;
I am human.
We are such that petty things make us fall out.

I have left you,
But I long to rejoin you.
But my pride does not allow it,
For we are humans.

But I digress,
This has spurred me.
Perhaps now I can see myself more clearly,
I will not waste the chance you have given me,
Intentional or not.

Now, as I move on,
I shall remember,
My pride as a human.
My ego is truly that which caused my loneliness.
