What I Must Insist I Keep

Futile is the attempt to create my reality,
For me.
Or what takes place in it,
To benefit another's version of life.
I will never accept,
Since for me the feeling is not right.

And I don't go out of my way to disrespect anyone,
By rejecting a point of view that doesn't to me come.
It is not my way to have my comfort redefined.
And the peace and comfort that is my own...
Is what I must insist I keep!
Without needless discussion.

I Will Never Accept the Unknown I Am Not

There is one thing about who I am,
I do know.
I know I will never accept the unknown I am not.

Nor will I let gossip and rumors upset me.
Especially the ones I don't like...
And did not start myself.

I hate it when someone tries to imitate,
My creativity.
Without one thing unique about it to offer.

I Am Free I Choose The Peace And Quiet Around Me

i am free. i rest below the light of stars.
i look for the peace of the things around me.
trees that do not move, waters on the pond that are still,
birds resting on the nests with their wings clipped in sleep
i wait for nothing. i do not think about taxing things.

and when despair comes to meet me i simply move
and take refuge in other places where there are no obstructions
to the peace and quiet that i decide to choose.

Guess Where the Peace and Silence Is?

Come here!
Stand over there.
Do you hear anything?

'No! Just silence.'

Where is that silence?

'Over there...
Where you are standing! '

You are correct!
NOW...
What did you hear?

'A slammed door!
You slammed the door.'

Exactly!
And guess where the peace and silence is?

'It's where you are!
On the other side of the door!
There is none where I am.
What are you doing?
And what is this for?

There is one rule that I adore.
No conflicts come within my limits,
To occupy my time or visit!
And that's how it is going to stay!
You wish to come into my home...
To present your point of view,
Of crisis upon crisis...
You desire to attached me with?
I'm not having none of it!
Not as long as I can do...
What you know now I will not permit!
You have taken what you brought in with you.
Be on your way...
Split!
Have a good night.

Peace and Justice On Behalf Of Dr. M.L.King

(This poem is dedicated to the dreams of Martin Luther King Jr.)

We want Peace and Justice
We are not asking for too much
We do not want to go too far to search
We want Peace and Justice
For the wrongly convicted
And for the illegally executed
Let the bells of freedom ring
From Paris to Washington
From Bangkok to Beijing
From Sudan to Hong Kong
From Iran to Pakistan
From China to Nigeria
From Haiti to Afghanistan
From Holland to India
From Israel to Canada
From Trinidad to Iceland
From Germany to South Africa
From Egypt to New Zealand
Let the thunders bring the gifts of Liberty
To every country in the universe
We were born to live in peace and harmony
The human mind is creative and diverse
Let's use our imagination to make life better for all
Let’s learn to be just and proud, and to walk tall
Corruption can only destroy; injustice can only rot the pot
Theft can only bring hell and greed is like an insatiable rat
Who will not stop until there is no more in the container
Let’s dream bigger and consistently help each other
We want Peace and Justice
For the demonstrators who are fighting for their alienable rights
We want Peace and Justice
At the end of the tunnel, we want to be able to see glorious lights
That can bring hope and stability throughout the continents
We want the perpetrators, the kidnappers and the criminal elements
To be punished in accordance to the laws of nature
We want the Courts to be fair and impartial
The dictators who stole the people’s money must be brought to trial
Their cronies and their henchmen who robbed our future
Must pay the consequences of their misdeeds
We dont want violence
We dont want silence
We want common sense to prevail all the time
We want a world free of crime
We want Peace and Justice for all
We want to eliminate the bad seeds
We want Peace and Justice for all.

I Could Arrest You For Disturbing The Peace

What's going on?
What is this all about?
And why is that guy standing,
With his hands above his head
Butt naked?
And why are there two groups of people,
Arguing with one another?

'Officer.
I want these people out of my store.
They are ruining my business.'

Has anyone stolen anything?

'No.
That guy naked,
Came into my store.
And said he had 'had' it.
He wanted me to call the police.
I told him he committed no crime.
Then I said
Sir,
Even if you stripped butt naked
With your hands above your head,
That would be indecent exposure.
I could have you arrested for that!

Well.
I called 911.
While I was explaining what was going on.
Those people standing over there,
Thought he was not indecent.
That other group over there behind you.
Decided that he was

And then he started screaming,
~What difference does it make if I am circumcized or not?
I am the one requesting to be arrested.

So.
What is it you want me to do?

'GET THESE PEOPLE OUT OF MY STORE! '

I can't.
Aren't those people still in the middle of their debate?
When did debating become a crime?
Now I do admit,
This situation is most unusual.
But calm down.
And I 'hope' you have a permit for that gun.
I could arrest you for disturbing the peace,
And threatening your customers.
I'll have to call for backup.
Are you the owner?

Save The Peace

Children safe out in the street
Free to walk and play and eat
Parents talking with their friends
Neighborhoods where shopping blends
Innovation everywhere
Creating jobs for all to share
Never needing to receive aide or welfare
Because the work is everywhere
Musicians, Artists, Craftsmen too
Making a world all fresh and new
Never needing to be controlled
And a fair tax to uphold
Our officials in the land
Passing laws we understand
Healthcare free to everyone
It's just right in a world that's one
And industry that's green and clear
Providing products free of toxins and fear
This is what peace means for all
Criminals will get help when they fall
Mental health and redirection
To help in their confusion with true affection
We as a society can be all this
Pick up the plow and dropp the fist
Saving the fight for causes that are just
That's where the energy should be a must
Save the peace and understand
If we are to truly be human
We must be more than humane
In our actions and our gains
A world that's prosperous and free
As a reality that is great to see
Then that's when we'll realize
That heaven is as we live our lives
Optimism and an open hand
Will be our strengths and save the land
And the earth will be again made pure
For we will have finally found the cure
For the selfishness and greed
That has caused our world to bleed

The Peace of Dives

1903

The Word came down to Dives in Torment where he lay:
"Our World is full of wickedness, My Children maim and slay,
"And the Saint and Seer and Prophet
"Can make no better of it
"Than to sanctify and prophesy and pray.

"Rise up, rise up, thou Dives, and take again thy gold,
"And thy women and thy housen as they were to thee of old.
"It may be grace hath found thee
"In the furnace where We bound thee,
"And that thou shalt bring the peace My Son foretold."

Then merrily rose Dives and leaped from out his fire,
And walked abroad with diligence to do the Lord's desire;
And anon the battles ceased,
And the captives were released,
And Earth had rest from Goshen to Gadire.

The Word came down to Satan that raged and roared alone,
'Mid rhe shouring of the peoples by the cannon overthrown
(But the Prophets, Saints, and Seers
Set each other by the ears,
For each would claim the marvel as his own):

"Rise up, rise up, thou Satan, upon the Earth to go,
"And prove the Peace of Dives if it be good or no:
"For all that he hath planned
"We deliver to thy hand,
"As thy skill shall serve, to break it or bring low."

Then mightily rose Satan, and about the Earth he hied,
And breathed on Kings in idleness and Princes drunk with pride.
But for all the wrong he breathed
There was never sword unsheathed,
And the fires he lighted flickered out and died.

Then terribly 'rose Satan, and darkened Earth afar,
Till he came on cunning Dives where the money-changers are;
And he saw men pledge their gear
For the bold that buys the spear,
And the helmet and the habergeon of war.

Yea, to Dives came the Persian and the Syrian and the Mede --
And their hearts were nothing altered, nor their cunning nor their greed --
And they pledged their flocks and farms
For the King-compelling arms,
And Dives lent according to their need.

Then Satan said to Dives: -- "Return again with me,
"Who hast broken His Commandment in the day He set thee free,
"Who grindest for thy greed
"Man's belly-pinch and need,
"And the blood of Man to filthy usury!"

Then softly answered Dives where the money-changers sit: --
"My Refuge is Our Master, O My Master in the Pit.
"But behold all Earth is laid
"In the Peace which I have made,
"And behold I wait on thee to trouble it!"

Then angrily turned Satan, and about the Seas he fled,
To shake the new-sown peoples with insult, doubt, and dread;
But, for all the sleight he used,
There was never squadron loosed,
And the brands he flung flew dying and fell dead.

But to Dives came Atlantis and the Captains of the West --
And their hates were nothing weakened nor their angers unrest --
And they pawned their utmost trade
For the dry, decreeing blade;
And Dives lent and took of them their best.

Then Satan said to Dives: -- "Declare thou by The Name,
"The secret of thy subtlety that turneth mine to shame.
"It is knowvn through all the Hells
"How my peoples mocked my spells,
"And my faithless Kings denied me ere I came."

Then answvered cunning Dives: "Do not gold and hate abide
"At the heart of every Magic, yea, and senseless fear beside?
"With gold and fear and hate
"I have harnessed state to state,
"And by hate and fear and gold their hates are tied.

"For hate men seek a weapon, for fear they seek a shield --
"Keener blades and broader targes than their frantic neighbours wield --
"For gold I arm their hands,
"And for gold I buy their lands,
"And for gold I sell their enemies the yield.

"Their nearest foes may purchase, or their furthest friends may lease,
"One by one from Ancient Accad to the Islands of the Seas.
"And their covenants they make
"For the naked iron's sake,
"But I -- I trap them armoured into peace.

"The flocks that Egypt pledged me to Assyria I drave,
"And Pharaoh hath the increase of the herds that Sargon gave.
"Not for Ashdod overthrown
"Will the Kings destroy their own,
"Or their peoples wake the strife they feign to brave.

"Is not Carchemish like Calno? For the steeds of their desire
"They have sold me seven harvests that I sell to Crowning Tyre;
"And the Tyrian sweeps the plains
"With a thousand hired wains,
"And the Cities keep the peace and -- share the hire.

"Hast thou seen the pride of Moab? For the swords about his path,
"His bond is to Philistia, in half of all he hath.
"And he dare not draw the sword
"Till Gaza give the word,
"And he show release from Askalon and Gath.

"Wilt thou call again thy peoples, wilt thou craze anew thy Kings?
"Lo! my lightnings pass before thee, and their whistling servant brings,
"Ere the drowsy street hath stirred,
"Every masked and midnight word,
"And the nations break their fast upon these things.

"So I make a jest of Wonder, and a mock of Time and Space,
"The roofless Seas an hostel, and the Earth a market-place,
"Where the anxious traders know
"Each is surety for his foe,
"And none may thrive without his fellows' grace.

"Now this is all my subtlety and this is all my Wit,
"God give thee good enlightenment. My Master in the Pit.
"But behold all Earth is laid
"In the Peace which I have made,
"And behold I wait on thee to trouble it!"

Folly And The Peace

Distribute the folly among the people of nearness,
Tabulate their weaknesses, scribes are again.
A gain has been committed for the reality,
The worlds of greatness complain so they gain.
To folly we achieve our peace, but the great worlds
Inhibit this folly, for the goodness, for the belly of ache.
Forward they walk, backward they glance,
To act according to the peace and war has been achieved.

Peace and pleasure to alternate

Peace can be the absence of fear.
Peace is not the pleasure.
Pleasure is the feeding of
The ego and the senses.
The rest is the peace and
The act is the pleasure
Like night and day.

This Feeling Does Not Linger

As strange as my name...
I can't describe this feeling.
I can't declare it stays the same.
This feeling does not linger.

I do have goals and aims.
Like others I see near me.
But 'who' they are remains unclaimed.
And that too changes.
Like storm clouds that bring rain.

We are more than what we seem.
Much more than given names.
And few care to pronounce them.
Some even denounce,
Them.

We are bigger than our dreams.
When each one comes to pass...
We seek one more to grasp.
And that one doesn't stay,
To last.

We are more than what we seem.
Much more than given names.
And few care to pronounce them.
Some even denounce,
Them.

As strange as my name...
I can't describe this feeling.
I can't declare it stays the same.
This feeling does not linger.
Like my needs.

Fontaine, Je Ne Boirai Pas De Ton Eau!

I know I might have lived in such a way
As to have suffered only pain:
Loving not man nor dog;
Not money, even; feeling
Toothache perhaps, but never more than an hour away
From skill and novocaine;
Making no contacts, dealing with life through Agents, drinking
one cocktail, betting two dollars, wearing raincoats in the
rain.
Betrayed at length by no one but the fog
Whispering to the wing of the plane.

"Fountain," I have cried to that unbubbling well, "I will not
drink of thy water!" Yet I thirst
For a mouthful ofnot to swallow, only to rinse my mouth in
peace.
And while the eyes of the past condemn,
The eyes of the present narrow into assignation. And
worst—
The young are so old, they are born with their fingers crossed;
I shall get no help from them.

Peace and Pain

THE day and night are symbols of creation,
And each has part in all that God has made;
There is no ill without its compensation,
And life and death are only light and shade.
There never beat a heart so base and sordid
But felt at times a sympathetic glow;
There never lived a virtue unrewarded,
Nor died a vice without its meed of woe.

In this brief life despair should never reach us;
The sea looks wide because the shores are dim;
The star that led the Magi still can teach us
The way to go if we but look to Him.
And as we wade, the darkness closing o'er us,
The hungry waters surging to the chin,
Our deeds will rise like stepping-stones before us—
The good and bad—for we may use the sin.

A sin of youth, atoned for and forgiven,
Takes on a virtue, if we choose to find:
When clouds across our onward path are driven,
We still may steer by its pale light behind.
A sin forgotten is in part to pay for,
A sin remembered is a constant gain:
Sorrow, next joy, is what we ought to pray for,
As next to peace we profit most from pain.

Reprieve

The street are silent there is no sound.
The lack of noise is frightening.
There is nobody to be found.
I find this most unsettling.

No sign of damage to be seen
this absence is what puzzles me.
Like a deserted movie scene.
Not as busy as it should be.

My men are searching thoroughly
we keep in touch by radio.
The silence is disturbing me.
What happened here we have to know.

This was a thriving market town
A centre of activity
Then suddenly it closes down.
Bereft of all humanity

Where have the people gone and why.
There’s no sign of catastrophe
The normal rules do not apply
I can’t interpret what I see.

I call H.Q.with my report.
And they decide on quarantine.
Which seems to me a last resort
Its their decision it 's not mine.

I merely do as I am told
Instruct my men to block the roads.
The strangeness makes my blood run cold.
I wonder what this can forebode.

Thousands of folks have disappeared
without any apparent cause
To say the least I find it weird.
There’s not the slightest sign of force.

As if they all went willingly
transported to some other place
by some alien machinery.
The product of another race.

My orders come from the top brass
nobody in nobody out
no news will be allowed to pass.
Strictly enforced I have no doubt.

The powers that be have no idea
what can be done if anything
The one thing which is very clear
Is that they’re close to panicking.

The have no precedent to guide
their thoughts on what has happened here.
Instinctively they try to hide
the facts and will succeed I fear.

Perhaps some other government
has had the same experience.
And covered up the incident
Because they lack the common sense.

To understand that they should share
What information they possess
It may be happening every where.
I’m terrified I must confess.

My men go missing one by one
but no one ever sees them leave.
One minute here the next one gone.
I am the last I do believe.

Then suddenly I understand
I too have left the world behind.
I have attained the promised land
The land I never thought to find.

The great rescue is under way
You will be rescued in your turn
when you are called do not delay.
If you refuse then you will burn.

The sun is ready to explode
engulf the planets as it dies.
We have to take the only road
although it comes as surprise.

To know that we were not alone
although considered primitive.
by other races to us unknown
Who offer us the chance to live.

We will be monitored of course
and taught the rules must obey.
But gently not by use of force.
Belligerence is not the way.

We have to learn to live in peace.
and lose our insecurity.
The constant battling must cease
to prove we’ve reached maturity.

Of Course It Is Unconscionable

Of course it is unconscionable.
Unscrupulous and unreasonable...
To hold those not responsible,
With a blaming of another's wicked deeds.
This they will never accept,
As a high degree of deception.

And historically,
This activity has been unregrettable.
Although can be credited to the doings,
Of those accustomed to the feeding...
Of their self-centered need to see others bleed.

And for this they believe with a worshipping done,
Is their entitlement pursued...
No matter who perceives them to be,
Uncaring as they proceed to protect...
The best of their interests kept,
As an exception never from them to be unglued.

Of course it is unconscionable,
But if those who are conscious follow...
Who is at fault?
If this is what has been presented and bought.

When The Peace Negotiations Have Failed

The fight for our freedom.
Its not for me, but for you.
Chained to a steel chair, condemned in silence.
Accusations of inciting of violence.
What do we do when the peace negotiations have failed?
What do we do when your brother is wearing a uniform and pointing a gun at you?

Do we love all of them all the more?
Forced into a war.
Choices of poverty by a single declaration.
We are the people and we will not be silent.
Even if it means dieing.

We stand in a line holding hands stopping all traffic upon the city streets.
A nuisance to the wealthy.
But you will hear me.
I do not stand alone.
Their is 99 to everyone of you.

The fight for our freedom.
Its not for me, but for you.
Chained to a steel chair, condemned in silence.
Accusations of inciting of violence.
What do we do when the peace negotiation failed?
What do we do when your brother is wearing a uniform and pointing a gun at you?

Do we love all of them all the more?
Forced into a war.
Choices of poverty by a single declaration.
We are the people and we will not be silent.
Even if it means dieing.

What is it this movement is if not trying.
The old ladies, and men you see are out with their canes and wheel chairs.
They support us in this fight against oppression.
Why don't you?
Why is it that so many walk away in the face of adversity.
You say, but they pay our wages.
But with out you they would be no wages to be made.
A profit decayed.

Trust me when I say it is worth dieing for.
Centuries ago our founding fathers did the same.
The mother country would not hold us captive to debts created to create their city of gold.
And today the same rules apply.
When a government gets out of control.
We must say no, no, NO! ! ! !

All The Peace I Have

ALL THE PEACE I HAVE

All the peace I have
At this moment
All the joy
A gift from God.

Oh if I could only write
How beautiful the world looks
From where I am
At this moment.

The trees the open blue sky
The city before me
The light the light
And the more light.

In The Peace They Have Found

They stood as memorials
to those who passed before us.
Epitaphs for formal lives,
white markers upon their grave
and as I sat among them,
there was silence everywhere.
Their bodies lay silent
deep within the ground.
They rest there for eternity
in the peace they have found.

Making The Peace...by Talile Ali

one thing i can say at least
there's nothing as great as making the peace
being stubborn and unforgiving
leads to death and a life not living

shame on those who chose to do
the other and hold a grudge so cruel
the harm they do to themselves and their world
is a travesty and a universe unfurled

with clarity it is plane to see
that what is real is la life thats free
of stress and strife and unforgivingness
if you are ever to attain a life of true bliss

to hate, to wish to harm some one
is dirty work and aimless fun
yes, fun i said, and it must be
because why else would some one harm another, you see

sadistic and malevolent
sociopath and psychopathic whim
i don't really care for any of them
a worm is a worm is a worm is a whim

so i will not say or wish any harm
if i ever did, place myself on a farm
or off in the woods in a tree somewhere
hell i still might do that, it's better than unfair

The Peace of God vs. The Peace of The World

-God says I give you the peace of God, that passes all Understanding
The World says ' I will give you peace' but the world doesn't tell you that that peace is just too Demanding.
-God says Love thy neighhbor
The world says hate thy enemy and love only under certain circumstances.
-God says I will show you the way, for I am a lamp unto your feet
The world says You are on your own.
*The peace of God vs the Peace of the World

The world says ' Go head girl put cha leg up' and that 69 is fine
-The Lord says: ' Have fun' but Honor me cus I am yours and you are Mine.
The world says ' this ain't burger king, you can't always have it your way'.
-The Lord says 'don't worry, tommorrow will be a brighter day'!
The world gives you hope, peace and joy that is only temporary
-But the Lord gives you joy like a river overflowing, smiles that have other people glowing.
He makes your enemy your footstool,
whereas the world lets everyone walk all over you.
The world gives you a candle that will soon burn out
-God gives you a lamp, that will eliminate all doubt
* The peace of God vs the Peace of the world.

Oh the illusions of peace from the world
And the reality of God's Peace
It gives you the ability to teach
the ability to preach
and the ability to face seen and unseen realities.
oh the illusion s seem similar,
But NO, OH NO there are NO commonalities!

So which one will you take?
The Peace of God or the Peace of the World.
