Before a Poetry Reading

'Poet! Poet! Poet! Poet! '
I'm feeling nervous but I mustn't show it!

'Poet! Poet! Poet! Poet! '
I hope to heaven that I won't blow it!

'Poet! Poet! Poet! Poet! '
I mustn't reveal that I'm a second-rate poet!
I'm only a rhymer, but they don't know it!
If you've got no talent you'll have to grow it!

'Poet! Poet! Poet! Poet! '

They Know That They Don't Know

They know that they don't know!
And their opinions discloses the evidence.
Most of their knowledge has been obtained,
By innuendos and nonsense.
Leaving them exposed,
To an ignorance that shows.

They know that they don't know!
And any actions taken to comprehend...
Becomes entrapped by an inferiority,
Felt within them.

And that which escapes their understanding...
Is left out of their reach.
Although very close...
Are those answers they seek most.
But quick they fold their arms to their chests,
With stubborn hands to express...
Their choice not to hear,
What for them is best!

Declaring they wish not to listen...
Because facts distracts,
A consciousness they lack!

They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it...
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it.
They know that they don't know.
But they want to gossip it...
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

They know that they don't know,
With their minds closed.
They know that they don't know,
With their minds closed.
They know that they don't know,
With their minds closed.
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

They know that they don't know...
And it shows.
They know that they don't know...
And it shows.
They know that they don't know...
And it shows.
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

They know that they don't!
Stubborn and they're limited.
They know that they don't!
Stubborn and they're limited.
They know that they don't!
Stubborn and they're limited.
Stubborn and they're limited.
And spread those rumors made to fit,
Those ears that are as limited!

Instead of the Griffin Prize* All I Get is the Griffin** or What I Get for Reading Too Much Godd*mned Charles Bukowski - A Poem-in-Cheek

for Karthik gone almost a year now,
'so much for mythology'

Many clips of poets, some known enough,
some not known, at least to me. I live
beneath a rock under a rusted old half-
bridge beneath the only cloud on earth
that doesn't move unless a rare bird,
a big one, flies beneath it. And so I
try them, 'the Winners.' Some I can't
bear to look at. I swear,
THAT'S NOT A POET!

I swiftly move to the others, one by one.
They don't know that they're all being
weighed, I admit it, in unfair balance,
GUILTY AS CHARGED.

But I'm magic.

I scream and curse the worst at them,
even more when they are undeniably very good,
HOW DARE THEY!

The rare bird, large, flies beneath the
only cloud that doesn't move except to
avoid any attachment other than to me.

Sh*ts on my head.

I go make a cup of tea.
Listen to Bach (J.S) , Gould's,
The Goldberg.***

Keep pointing to the radio.
Shaking my head muttering.
Whistling between fragments.

I open the curtain at midnight and wait
for the lights of the big planes to shine
directly in on me. Like that godd*mned
bird, they're in my flight path.

I am nervous.
But they don't fly over me.
Nor do they sh*t on my head.

Still, I wait there till very early in the
morning, till just before sunrise.

'Close call, ' I say.

Then I draw the curtain.

I fall hard into bed covering my
head with a pillow, that gold multi-mirrored
pillowcase a gift from the most beautiful
of lovers (both from India)

just in case.

*The Griffin Prize, Canada's most generous poetry award,
founded by businessman and philanthropist Scott Griffin.

**The griffin, griffon, or gryphon (Greek: grýphōn, or grýpōn, early form, grýps; Latin: gryphus) is a legendary creature with the body of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. As the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle was the king of the birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature. The griffin was also thought of as king of the creatures. Griffins are known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions.

They would not have any chance,
To regain from their losses!
But they don't know that.
They just know his skin is Black!

You Can Have the Future

You Can Have the Future
by Alex Lewis

The present is malicious.
difficulty=delicious
We will to Hell be sent
If this is only the present.

What is the future if this is present?
Peace must have come and went.
Why should mankind advance?
He started on his last chance.

The present is so bad
That the years just add and Add.
In the future, what will become?
We cannot reverse what is done.
You can have the future.

You can have the future.
Take it far away.
It'll last a day.
Never let me see it again.
wHAT, wHERE, wHEN.
You can have the future.

Now You Know

Everybody knows your war is over
Everybody knows your good side lost
Now your future is fixed
The poor stay poor and the rich get rich
That's just how it goes
Everybody knows you have your reasons
And that winter dominates all your seasons

You think that this is the answer
You think that this is your salvation
You don't understand, you just don't get it
As you happily smoke another hit
Just because it is legal doesn't mean it is safe
With each puff you are causing your own death

Everybody watches, but they don't complain
Nobody tells you that what you are doing is insane
You are suicidal, you are depressed
You can't handle the problems, you can't handle stress
Your mother never keeps in touch
And your father never loved you much
That's why you shy away from other's help
Instead you turn to drugs
You prefer to hang out with the thugs
To you it is much easier than connecting with people

Everybody knows you are killing yourself
Everybody knows you are destroying yourself
Nobody tries to reach you, nobody tries to help
I guess that's just how it goes

You're only thirteen
There is so much you haven't seen
So many places you haven't been
But you hate your young life
You wish for it to end
You're a misunderstood, misguided young woman
With absolutely no life plan

As life goes on you grow up and get a job
Soon you are with husband and child
Life is new, mysterious and wild
You're happier than you ever have been
You are now a woman of thirty - five
But still addicted to the smoke, you are
You still puff your cigar

Now you know you are dying a slow suicide
But with the drugs you are allied
You don't care that you will one day lose everything you have
But you still know, that's just the way it goes

When you are forty and your child is ten
Your depression strikes once again
For the doctor has diagnosed you with cancer
Regards to your twenty - seven years of smoking

Now regret fills you as you lie on your deathbed
For there is so many things you haven't done or said
You will never see your child grow
Your grandchildren you will never know
Your husband will mourn your death
Up until his very last breath

Now you know you should have stopped
You should have quit the cigarettes
Than you wouldn't have so many regrets
Now you know, but it's too late
I guess that's just the way it goes

You say you're sorry with tear - filled eyes
But your family looks at you with despise
"How could you do this to me? " they ask
You reply that you were wearing a mask,
A mask of your true self, hidden beneath the smoke
A mask to hide your pain and suffering
Your son now replies that all you claim are lies

He says with hate-filled eyes
"You had a good life, good enough to get over your hurt
But you threw it all in the dirt."
"Mother, don't you see? "
"The only ones suffering are Daddy and me"

Life's A Genius

Life's a genius.
Not a mediocrity
looking for reasons to live in the morning.
Life's not a plan.
It's a spirit that doesn't need one
whether things go right or wrong.
Life is light and water.
It delights in going everywhere at once.
Mediocrities have genius
but they don't know how
to play with it like a child.
Their eyes peek
through knotholes in the fence
but they sacrifice their longing
on the conventional altars of common-sense
and never throw the ball back over the hills
like the moon coming up
or the sun going down
without worrying about
breaking the neighbours'windows.
Life throws whole mountains around
and turns the cornerstones into quicksand
and goes down with Atlantis
only to come up again like Moby Dick
spewing stars out of its blowhole.
Mediocrity has its feet planted firmly on the ground.
It never goes anywhere it hasn't gone before.
It's the kind of fire
that sleeps with an extinquisher
in case things get too hot to put out.
Mediocrity shares.
But life's the kind of genius
that gives like an apple-tree
that fully expresses itself
through infinitely more
than four seasons
no two alike
without caring if it's of any benefit to anyone.
Mediocrity's stunned by the blossoms.
Genius tastes the fruit.
Life's the kind of fire
that doesn't have a root
you can pull up and take home with you
to add to your garden
like a new word to your vocabulary.
Mediocrity spells it out.
But genius is the dream grammar
of a spiritual alphabet
that isn't used to taking orders.
It doesn't have twenty-six words for inspiration
like potted geraniums all in a row
and only one for freedom
it weeds out like morning glory
and dandelions
whose vagrancy threatens
to overwhelm the rest
with a longing
for the happier memories of their homelessness.
Mediocrity's a highway lined with roadkill.
Genius is a river
that goes around
not through the hill
and though there are fleets of waterlilies all along its banks
that gather like the Spanish Armada every year
to burn the infidel irises on the far shore
back into the true church
they never set sail.
They stay anchored to the coast
like loveletters from buddhas upstream
rooted in the flowing.
Mediocrity writes a great poem.
Genius lets the poem write itself.
Mediocrity signs its own vanity.
like a work done well.
But genius doesn't have
anything to sell
that ever belonged to anyone
in the first place.
Life is the generosity of space
that blows stars in your face
and gives you the eyes to see them.
Mediocrity confines the muses to a hareem
to compel their obedience.
Mediocrity is a great sea without any tides.
Genius sleeps with women
it never thinks of as brides
because it can feel their power
like a waterbird feels the waves
breathing like the sea beneath it
wild and profound
cannibal creators
oceans in the black rose
dripping like the blood
of enlightened virgins
from Kali the Crone Destroyer's mouth
eating her own like the moon
as if she were life itself.
Mediocrity never includes
enough destruction in its creations
to be credible.
It goes along with the swans
like afterlives in the moonlight
but not the snapping turtles
that drag them down into the mud
like constellations brought back to earth like kites.
Mediocrity defangs the moon.
Genius flows down
its first and last crescents like blood
knowing one fang kills you
and the other heals you for good.
Mediocrity is hemmed in
by thresholds it never crosses.
It never colours outside the lines
into the negative space
of the forbidden white beyond.
It's never gone gone gone forever gone beyond.
It's a star with a lazy eye in an expanding universe.
It never reads the writing on the wall
between the lines
like fossils.
It's afraid of the dark.
It fills whole galleries
with works like arks
with two of every kind
that are signed like truces
it made with its imagination
as if the imagination
ever kept its word
to anyone who was afraid of it.
Mediocrity keeps an eye on itself
like a documentary.
It comes to the right door
but it never gains entry.
It's lost in the labyrinth
of its own fingerprints.
It leaves too much evidence
at the scene of the crime
and turns over on genius
at the dropp of a dime
for getting away with everything
like the mastermind behind it all.
Mediocrity sings like a canary in a coal-mine.
Genius howls at the moon
among the mountains
high above the timberline
where she takes
her first and last crescents off
like handcuffs off an escaped convict.
Mediocrity lives
as if it's always
making up an alibi
for something it never did.
It's easier to lie about a sin of omission
than it is to tell the truth
as if you weren't signing
a celebrity confession.
Genius lives out in the open
where everything's well hid
like a mason jar full of fireflies
without a lid.
Mediocrity hugs the shore
like a lighthouse
that's afraid of everything
it can't shine a light on.
Mediocrity shows you its scars.
Genius shows you the wound.
Mediocrity's amazed
that the universe
got as far as it did on its own.
Genius walks the rest of the way alone
and doesn't care if the path it's on
reads like an exit or an entrance.
Mediocrity looks for acceptance.
Genius throws the audience out the window
like an old typewriter with keys missing
and all its loved ones
smiling in the front row
as if they were in on the know
and sits down by itself at the piano
and lets the silence play
whatever it wants
all night long.
Mediocrity makes a big splash
like an inert gas
in a flickering neon sign
advertising one night stands
in a cheap roadside motel.
Genius shapes space like black matter
that stays hidden
on the far side of gravity
behind the leaves
that grow on its boughs like galaxies
that wait like nests in the treetops
for the shamans babies and birds
to fill their bright vacancy
with the dark abundance
of a language older than words.
There are lyrical swords
that have mastered the art
of writing their eloquent history
in scars that pre-date cuneiform.
That's one muse.
And when the dark mother
who gave birth
to the ten thousand things
whispered the mystery of the universe
into her own ear
she said it in stars.
That's another.
And when you listen to the moon
as she summons her own
like lost echoes and mad shadows
to the fullness welling up inside her
she sheds her eyelids like loveletters
she's read over and over again
out loud to the lunatics
like cracks in a dry creekbed
or a prophetic skull
waiting for rain.
She's beauty pain and death
all rolled up into one
black rose of inspiration
she hands out
to those of us she loves
like an eclipse
without an explanation.
Mediocrity doesn't understand this.
Three lucidities in one black mirror
before the arising of signs
and all it's looking for
is its likeness
in the meaning of everything.
Humans may have been created
in the image of God
but the world's not created
in the image of humans.
It's a lot crazier than that.
Mediocrity makes a habit of significance
to justify its eyes
to the nightwatchman in the mirrors.
Genius pulls the hat out of the rabbit
and the magician disappears.

You Just Have To Be Who You Are

Lovers in the basement sipping on a cola
their friend goes in to see them
but they don't have to be afraid
I go down the stairwell
I stare at the stairwell
I stare at the girl.
You just have to be who you are (x4)
There's no room for liars
there's no room for liars
there's no need for fires
so I won't have to go outside
No one can believe
no one can believe
no one can believe I'm a voyeur.
There is no room for voyeurs
there's only room for disaster
there's only room for you and me
You just have to be who you are (x4)
Everyone knows
My friend she's only sixteen
she's only sixteen
but she's (either sold out or sewn up)
You just have to be who you are (x4)
All my friends
my friends
and what is important
and what is important
and nothing is important

Picture in the moon.

At the night when the stars
Twinkles our night
Twinkles our love
Picture in the moon
Very vehement to me
The gale of the night
Making me to beek into you
Stars sorching my way
Previewing the picture in the moon.

I whirl and tumble
Heave nights and love
When you was quivered,
By hust in the night
Try to get to you
In hopes you're on
The other side
Seeing the picture in the moon
Or am I a drone?
Am I a fool?
Who walks alone the night
Seeing the picture in the moon..

I'm feeling pretentious to you,
Picture in the moon
Every night we met here
Every night meet here.
I'm feeling like we're conspicuous,
The talk in town
They say,
We have gone mad
But they don't know
What we know.

'Cause when sunshine, night,
Twilight goes down,
Someone is talking back yeah.
Seeing the conspicuous
Picture in the moon.

Those Days of Being Reckless

Folks so shallow and low...
You can see right through them.
But they don't know they are shallow and low,
Or the damage done to their illegitimate children.

It's okay to have sex and better if it's good.
It's okay to be irresponsible...
Since no one seems to teach discipline.
And discipline for those lazy,
Is like committing sin!

But those days of being reckless,
Are coming to an end!
A change we all can taste and feel,
Is soon about to begin!

'I thought he would be a nice guy? '

Oh, he is.
He is nice and strict!
And under his leadership...
He is not going to tolerate,
None of this 'sickness' that had addicted.
Did you think because he is Black...
He would allow a continuance of that crap?
Behind that smile is a business man!
And he is not going to have any more of that.

He's going to put millions to work...
As civil servants.
Disciplined and of self worth!
Get ready for The New World Order.

Beyond The Unknown

Perfect night
The moon shines bright
But covered with blood
Because this is an evil night
Calls for a sign
Is what the invokers are meditating
The souls from beyond
Are hearing them calling
Moving objects
Sinister sounds in the air
Nerves tense
Hands holding tight
You can feel it answering everywhere
The seekers are happy
Thinking that they are hearing
The voice from their loved one
[Chorus:]
Beyond the unknown
Powerful spectre
Closing in
Is it a dream
Or is it true
Beyond the unknown
Communication begun thru the incarnated body
Of the spiritual leader
Questions are asked, answer correct
But they don't know the real horrors
Behind the spirit of the dead
Ceremony is over now
Relatives left in satisfaction
Knowing that he's resting in eternal peace
[Lead]
Days have passed
Then there was a knocking at the door
Live in the flesh
The missing one that they thought was dead
Memories coming back
Realizing what they have heard
Was nothing but a malignant force
Telling them nothing but lies
[Repeat chorus]

Biggest Bigamist

To dream the impossible dream,
Keep your distance, if you know what I mean,
To have multiple Queens wearing multiple crowns,
Your multiple wives need multiple towns.

I love my wives, they love me too,
But they don't know some things that I do,
I have a sweet tooth, I think women are wine,
So to get my sugar, I'm the marrying kind.

I got a wife in Alabama, her father's a baker,
I got one in Ohio, she don't know I'm a faker,
I got one in Hawaii, we have a family of three,
She has no clue what's going on with me.

I got one in Minnesota, we live on a lake,
I got one in Nevada, who don't know I'm a fake,
I got one in Utah, we both love to ski,
She reminds me of my wife in Mississippi.

It gets a little dicey on major holidays,
I have to lie a lot and make a few plays,
I tell 'em, 'I got business that takes me out of town,
But when I get back, I'll make it up somehow.'

I have wives of every race, every color and creed,
In their totality, they give me what I need,
I got a wife in Oklahoma, she loves to ride the range,
I'm having so much fun, I don't think I'll ever change.

Games People Play

(Joe South)
Oh the games people play now
Every night and every day now
Never meaning what they say now
Never saying what they mean
Oh they whine away the hours
In their ivory towers
Til they're covered up with flowers
In the back of a black limousine
La la la mmm da da da
La la la mmm da da dee
I'm talkin' 'bout you and me
And the games people play
Oh they make one another cry
Break their hearts and they say good-bye
Cross their heart and they hope to die
That the other was to blame
Neither one will ever give in
So they gaze at an eight by ten
Thinkin' 'bout the way it might have been
And it's a dirty rotten shame
La la la mmm da da da
La la la mmm da da dee
I'm talkin' 'bout you and me
And the games people play
Oh they teach how to meditate
Read your horoscope and teach you faith
The furthermore the hell with hate
Come on and get on board
Look around and tell me what you see
What's a-happenin' to you and to me
God grant me the serenity
To just remember who I am
La la la mmm da da da
La la la mmm da da dee
I'm talkin' 'bout you and me
And the games people play

No Greater Love

The angels can sing, but they don't know it all.
Heaven may have, streets made of gold,
But they don't have you like I have you to hold.
And like a prayer, you're everywhere!
That's how I know there's
No greater love!
When it's just you and me
That's how it's meant to be, and I know
There's no greater love!
We'll always be together,
On both sides of forever, I know
There's no greater love!
Ohhh Oh Oh
The touch of your fingers, on my skin,
I want to lay down beside you again.
The taste of your lips, pressed against mine,
Lost in this moment, way beyond time.
And like a prayer, you're everywhere!
That's how I know there's
No greater love!
When it's just you and me,
That's how it's meant to be, and I know
There's no greater love!
We'll always be together,
On both sides of forever I know
There's no greater love!
I would lay down my life for you,
And you would do the same for me,
I know it's true.
With every breath I breathe,
Baby, I believe,
There's no greater love!
When it's just you and me,
That's how it's meant to be and I know
There's no greater love!
We'll always be together,
On both sides of forever, I know
There's no greater love!
No greater love.

When I Discovered My Given Name

When I discovered my given name 'is' Lawrence...

(Named after my father.
Who on 'his' birth certificate says Lawrence 'A'.
And I'm suppose to be a junior with no 'A' attached.
Go figure!)

...and not 'Larry' as I am still called by family members,
And very close friends.

People who 'knew' me became upset,
When I began calling myself 'Lawrence'.
Saying I thought I was better than the others.
And that I was not 'real' OR down-to-Earth!

'Does this sound a bit crazed?
I wanted to call myself by my 'real' name...
And folks who didn't have my name,
Became upset!
Pure insanity...
Isn't it? '

There's more...

But my parents did not name me Larry.
They named me Lawrence.
And my father everyone called Lawrence...
Decided he was going to be called 'Larry'.
I'm not going to say he was a jealous man.
That's a different story!

And I decided to become as REAL as possible!
Even adopting an African name, Suhuba...
Of the Yoruban language.
Meaning 'laurel' or of the Sun.
And 'that' made some folks furious.
Family members became outraged...
Because I sought 'identity'.
And I was accused of wanting to be 'white'.

These are the same folks who call for unity of all kinds!
But they don't know 'who' they are to unify.
And 'why' or for what!

That's how ignorant some environments,
And the people can be!
Divided into segments of conditioned realities.

God bless 'em!

Never Say Never

Who would ever thought a guy
Would want a girl like me
Who would ever thought that I
Would fall so easily
Who would ever thought that we
Would finally come to be
I guess they don't know
How much you mean to me
Who would ever thought that they
Would have some words to say
We'll go on anyway
It's alright - it's okay
Take whatever comes our way
Together we will stay
I got three words to say
Never say never

I can't believe they'd stop our happiness
By trying to pull us down with such a mess
Why can't they let us live just like the rest
And keep us out of all this crazy madness
Now when they talk I think it's just a shame
That all they do is sit and think my name
When all that i do mainly
Sit and think about my baby and me

Now baby they can't believe that
You and me are together
That's why they should have never
Never said never
There were times when we thought that
You and me could never be together
That's why we should have never
Never said never

Now there's a lot of talkin' goin' round
About the way me and you are gettin' down
What are they jealous are they hatin' me
I guess they all have their own Ph.Ds
I wish that they would just stop sweatin' me
Stop tryin' to get the best of me
No matter what they say baby
We gotta move on cause we're gonna be happy

We didn't let the thoughts that we had
We didn't let the words that they said
Keep us from the love we now have
Never say never
Simply for me to see when
Never would've been never if allowed
Now that we are together
Never say never

Childless Couples Gift

the childless couple pray every day
that a child will come their way.
they tried everything to conceive
and at night, she sits and bereaves.

they go to doctors and clinics
and do all sorts of tests
they do everything they're told
and give it their best.

they showed people what they
expected them to see.
but! their pain is the harsh reality.

hiding the pain that was embedded so deep
but! it was a pain they could not defeat.
they knew they had a couple of options left
either a surrogate mother, or to adopt.

although they knew that the final
decision would be theirs.
they spoke about it hours on end
spoke with family and their friends.

they decided to take a trip to ' boys town'
and speak with others who had been turned down.
speaking with children who were still
looking to be part of a family
and ' how they would search the adoption history'

they asked: do most people looking to adopt
seem to be put on a spot?
a young boy of about twelve, decided to speak.

he said: most adopting parents seek a young child
because they think that an older one
is not worth their while.

they think that there must be a reason
that the older child was not taken.
but! they don't know how much they're mistaken.

we older children have learned right from wrong
and have gone through heartbreak the same as you.
so! ' what are we supposed to do.'
to hide our heads in the ground
never to be found?
we can love and be loved the same as you
and in your hearts ' you know it's true.'

so if you are coming with that thought in mind
there are hundreds here that you will find.
his tears started rolling down his eyes
as he was walking away.

when he heard the mans voice say
' wait a minute my son, for you are the one.
you are what we've been seeking
and our love you'll be keeping.

just give us a chance to prove you're right
for you are GODS gift- this very night.

Credit Card Baby

Said that you love me
Thought that it was true
You said that you needed me
And baby I believe that too
I thought that you were shy
But you put me straight
With the wink of your eye
I should have known better
I know
But now my hand's in my pocket
Every time I see you cry

People think that you're so sweet
But they don't know you
Quite like I do
I guess they think
I'm a lucky guy
But you're not fooling
Everybody

You can have my credit card
Baby
But keep your red hot fingers
Off my heart
Lady
All I know is what I see
You're getting what you want
Girl
It ain't just me
No matter how you cry
I'm not giving any love away
Do you think I'm crazy
All I know is what I see
But what can I do
When you pretend that you're in love with me
Baby

You tell me you love me
'Cause I know that it's not true
Just tell me
You need my money
Girl
You know I'll give it to you
Between the ocean and sky
There are things
That you can't buy
And if you look you'll see
One of them is me
Take your hands out of my pockets
Dig until the day you die

People think that you're so sweet
But they don't know you
Quite like I do
I guess they think
I'm a lucky guy
But you're not fooling
Everybody

You can have my credit card
Baby
But keep your red hot fingers
Off my heart
Lady
All I know is what I see
You're getting what you want
Girl
It ain't just me
No matter how you cry
I'm not giving any love away
Do you think I'm crazy
All I know is what I see
But what can I do
When you pretend that you're in love with me
Baby

They don't know you
Quite like I do
And you're not fooling
Anybody
You can have my credit card
Baby
But keep your red hot fingers
Off my heart
Lady
All I know is what I see
You're getting what you want
Girl
It ain't just me
No matter how you cry
I'm not giving any love away
Do you think I'm crazy
All I know is what I see
But what can I do
When you pretend that you're in love with me
Baby

Night Vision Over A Living Planet

The air is very heavy,
Hard and sharp,
Because of the interplanetary forces.
A rolling stones rain is falling down,
While a huge planet is completely covering the sun,
Making everything around be swallowed
By a great darkness.
Only sharp bright lights pierce the sky
From time to time
To trigger big fires.
''The stone which the builders disallowed,
The same is made the head of the corner, ''
A terrible freezing wind
Is following the darkness,
That kind of freezing wind
Killing or biting everything is alive.
Time stops running,
And nothing can move on that living planet,
Because of the interplanetary forces.
People, who live at the sea shores
May hear coming the waters of darkness
To sweep everything around.
There is no electric current at all,
And the stars cannot be seen,
Because they are hidden behind thick clouds.
Erupting volcanoes that have not erupted
Since a very long time
Are covered by fire.
A strange swing can be felt
By everyone,
When everything begins to move again.
The gravity is felt differently on the both sides
Of that living planet.
Huge waves of water meet volcanic lava
To make everything around disappear completely.
There are lost zones and escape zones.
The position of the living planet's axis changes
Reversing the sense of rotation.
The sunset becomes the sunrise,
And vice versa.
The monster planet leaves its position between
The sun and the living planet
To let the comet pass.
A heavy rain with very big drops
Begins to fall down.
After that, the sun powerfully rises again.
So many people and animals die,
That there is no one to bury them all.
The survivors take refuge in the mountains
Running in the woods.
The passing of this celestial body
Triggers an extraordinary earthquake.
Some mountains crack and fall.
The trees are falling to the ground.
The people are running, but they don't know
Where to run
Attempting to escape the wrath of God.
They don't know where they are.
They even don't know if they are at one
Of the Poles,
Or at the Equator.
They don't know if their planet's land is the same or not.
They cannot take any train, or plain, or car.
Their houses are destroyed.
They have nothing to eat, they need water.
They are hungry and thirsty.
They are exhausted,
But, moreover, they need to survive.
