Daylight Robbery

All that work
And not anywhere saved
All those memories
Just gone
Deleted
I've been robbed

All that glitters is not gold

We face many truths and many lies
In our daily life,
But we always see the truth with doubt,
And we often believe lies around us,
For truth has no charm,
It's straight forward,
And sometimes utterly monotonous,
While lie has its own charm,
It's very seducing and attractive,
It draws towards it,
And we become its victim intentionally,
But after all
'All that glitters is not gold.'

All that search do not wish to find

All that search do not wish to find
the answers that are
obviously present.

Answers do not always
carry the meaning
that one wish that they do.

Some actions and words
do not necessarily translate
that which is deep inside the heart

Everyone that smiles
doesn’t necessary do so
from a heart that overflows with joy.

Yet some things speak louder
and have a greater impact
than other things do.

sacrifice, love, integrity
and being true,
makes better people of you and me.

All That Glitters

All that glitters
Is not gold
So dont believe
What youve been told
And take a chance of being strong
Because theyll destroy you
If youre wrong
Only lovers act this way
You see
Only lovers are so cruel
All your friends are here tonight
Never ones to miss a fight
Their applause for what youve done
Rings in the darkness when theyve gone
Only lovers act this way
You see
Only lovers are so cruel
I would die here next to you
I will make your dreams come true
Theres so much I had to say
I got lost along the way
All that glitters is not gold
So dont believe what youve been told
Only lovers act this way
You see
Only lovers are so cruel
Only lovers act this way
You see
Only lovers are so cruel

All That We Let In

Oooooooo
Oooooooo
Oooooooo
Dust in our eyes our own boots kicked up
Heartsick we nursed along the way we picked up
You may not see it when it's sticking to your skin
But we're better off for all that we let in
Lost friends and loved ones much too young
So much promises and work left undone
When all that guards us is a single centerline
And the brutal crossing over when it's time
Oooooooo
(I don't know where it all begins)
Oooooooo
(And I don't know where it all will end)
Oooooooo
(We're better off for all that we let in)
One day those toughies will be withered up and bent
The father son the holy warriors and the president
With glory days of put up dukes for all the world to see
Beaten into submission in the name of the free
We're in a revolution I have heard it said
Everyone's so busy now but do we move ahead
The planets hurting and atoms splitting
And a sweater for your love you sit there knitting
Oooooooo
(I don't know where it all begins)
Oooooooo
(And I don't know where it all will end)
Oooooooo
(We're better off for all that we let in)
See those crosses on the side of the road
>Tied with ribbons in the median
They make me grateful I can go this far
Lay me down and never wake me up again
Kat writes a poem and she sticks it on my truck
We don't believe in war and we don't believe in luck
The birds were calling to her what were they saying
As the gate blew open the tops of the trees were swaying
I've passed the cemetery walk my dog down there
I read the names in stone and say a silent prayer
When I get home you're cooking supper on the stove
And the greatest gift of life is to know love
Oooooooo
(I don't know where it all begins)
Oooooooo
(And I don't know where it all will end)
Oooooooo
(We're better off for all that we let in)

All That Which is Around

Isn't that something,
Those believe.
A life that includes diversity,
They can do without.
And still succeed.

Even though diversity,
Is all that which is around.
There are those who choose to ignore it,
With a hope a tunneled vision.
Will become a way of life,
Mother Nature decides.
Is more beneficial to provide.

And those choosing their lives,
Without diversity to surround.
Would have a better quality of life.
If 'She' removed hers from the ground.

All Youre Missin Is A Heartache

Michael w. smith
Its over the line - a shadow of doubt
From outside looking at the in crowd
(tempting voices are calling you)
They look mighty fine - a sight to behold
But all that glitters is not gold
(still those voices are calling you)
Chorus:
All youre missin is a heartache
A disillusion for a keepsake
A life of living with your own mistake
All youre missin is a heartache
The water is high - youre out on a limb
Well, if you take the fall then its sink or swim
(clouds of reason will follow you)
Youre kissing the dark
Youre courting your pride
You wonder is it greener on the other side
(but they have nothing to offer you)
Chorus
Tag:
All youre missin, missin is a heartache
All youre missin, missin is a heartache
Whoa whoa whoa whoa

I'm Not One Of Those Peephole Old People

I'm not a portrait painting on a canvas.
Waiting for a visit to exhibit.
I'm not one of those peephole old people...
Peeking out of keyholes all day,
Hey...
I,
Am much...
Alive.

I'm not a portrait painting on a canvas.
Waiting for a visit to exhibit.

I,
Am much...
Alive.

I,
Am much...
Alive.

I'm not one of those peephole old people,
Peeking out of keyholes all day!
I'm not a portrait painting on a canvas.
Waiting for a visit to exhibit.

I,
Am much...
Alive.

I,
Am much...
Alive.

I'm not a portrait painting on a canvas.

All day...
Hey!

Those That Work Till Midnight

there are those that work till midnight
even beyond it
when all are asleep and busy with their dreams
when all the lights of the houses and even the streets
are turned off

there are those who cannot sleep and make their
nights days
there are those who know what their mission in life is
not counting the hours
not minding the sacrifices
like a candle they burn both ends

there are those who die earlier than expected
these are those who do not complain and
not say a word
for what they have done

they give all that they have and that is what only matters
they do not even care if the world remembers

you read this poem and it is 11: 24 in the evening
in this silent hour, you are one of them,
i salute you, my dear friend and companion.

All that is Gold does not glitter

All that is Gold does not glitter
The sultriest of beauties carry thorns
The humblest little soft petalled jasmine
A feast for afternoon tea and sweet perfume
The best cut diamonds that glitter and shine
A molten rock culled from blackest coal
And the girl who just walked away with the first trophy
For best vocal, someone you would have thought a nobody

by john tiong chunghoo

All That is Gold Does Not Glitter
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.

For Those That I Shall Not Ask Forgiveness

for things that i should have finished by now
i ask forgiveness,

for all my indulgences, the most unlikely of what
being should not have been

i also ask forgiveness

there are joys that crown my hair
where time becomes unimportant

there are sweet thoughts that dwell in my mind
that which the logic of the brains detest

there are memories which should have been buried forever
but which with relish i still remember

those that they say are wrong those that they say
shall destroy

my being, my wholeness, my end bound perfection
for all these

i embrace with all fairness
i shall not say sorry, i shall not ask forgiveness

for in truth without all of those and these that are still
within the commands of my hands

i could have not lived at all.

In Memoriam A. H. H.: 118. Contemplate all this work of Tim

Contemplate all this work of Time,
The giant labouring in his youth;
Nor dream of human love and truth,
As dying Nature's earth and lime;
But trust that those we call the dead
Are breathers of an ampler day
For ever nobler ends. They say,
The solid earth whereon we tread
In tracts of fluent heat began,
And grew to seeming-random forms,
The seeming prey of cyclic storms,
Till at the last arose the man;

Who throve and branch'd from clime to clime,
The herald of a higher race,
And of himself in higher place,
If so he type this work of time

Within himself, from more to more;
Or, crown'd with attributes of woe
Like glories, move his course, and show
That life is not as idle ore,

But iron dug from central gloom,
And heated hot with burning fears,
And dipt in baths of hissing tears,
And batter'd with the shocks of doom

To shape and use. Arise and fly
The reeling Faun, the sensual feast;
Move upward, working out the beast,
And let the ape and tiger die.

All That She Wants

Inspired by the baby obsessed woman who just birth to 8 little ones.

to the tune of Ace of Base's All That She Wants

She leads a crazy life
She leads such a mixed-up life

Well she just stayed out again all night
Now a new day has just begun
She opens up her blearly eyes and thinks
Oh what a blessing it would be
Not to have to work
Just gotta go the bank again and pick up some men
Nine monthes later she'll be pumping out another eight
Just for checks and fun
She's coming to get you

All that she wants is another baby
She'll be headline news again tomorrow
'Cause all that she wants is another baby, yeah
All that she wants is another baby

It's all that she wants
It's all that she wants
All that she cares about

So if your sperm is tight and the day is right
She's the hunter
Your little swimmers are the foxes
The woman will stalk you
Even if it takes forever
Just to fulfill her bizzare obsession
Long ago to her sanity she said goodbye
Beware of what is flashing in those greedy eyes
She's coming to get you

All that she wants is another baby
She'll be headline news again tomorrow
'Cause all that she wants is another baby, yeah
All that she wants is another baby
Just one more baby, yeah

Ohhh

Ohh all that she wants is another baby (Just one more baby, yeah)
She'll be headline news again tomorrow
'Cause all that she wants is another baby (Just one more baby, yeah)
All that she wants is another baby (Just one more baby, yeah)
She'll be headline news again tomorrow
'Cause all this addicted broad wants is another baby (Just one more baby or two, yeah)

Crazy lady
It's all that she wants
Total basketcase
It's all the she lives for
All that she wants
All that she's ever lived for
Yeah

All That She Wants

She leads a lonely life
She leads a lonely life

When she woke up late in the morning light
And the day had just begun
She opened up her eyes and thought
Oh what a morning

It's not a day for work
It's a day for catching tan
Just laying on the beach and having fun
She's going to get you

Chorus:

All that she wants is another baby
She's gone tomorrow boy
All that she wants is another baby

All That Glitters

Honesty comes in great supply by those
who have nothing more to lose,

the disenfranchised, the sick, the poor,
but who doesn't tire of their strident voices,

numbing us.

Not that we do not sympathize to some extent,
as we desperately hold on to what we
consider to be ours alone.

After all, it wasn't freely given to us.

Each man for himself,
voting according to his pocketbook,
doggedly pursueing all that glitters,

but may not be gold.

All That's Not Love . . .

All that's not love is the dearth of my days,
The leaves of the volume with rubric unwrit,
The temple in times without prayer, without praise,
The altar unset and the candle unlit.

Let me survive not the lovable sway
Of early desire, nor see when it goes
The courts of Life's abbey in ivied decay,
Whence sometime sweet anthems and incense arose.

The delicate hues of its sevenfold rings
The rainbow outlives not; their yellow and blue
The butterfly sees not dissolve from his wings,
But even with their beauty life fades from them too.

No more would I linger past Love's ardent bounds
Nor live for aught else but the joy that it craves,
That, burden and essence of all that surrounds,
Is the song in the wind and the smile on the waves.

That was yesterday

That was yesterday
Someone asked me
If I had fallen astray in any particular way
I replied, ’ That was yesterday, not today’

Yesterday
I took the sunshine without making any hay
Yesterday
I allowed all my silver white teeth to decay
Yesterday
I partied and played each and every other day
Yesterday
I made friends and became the traitor who betrayed
Yesterday
I worked hard without getting my rightful pay
Yesterday
I only listened to whatever others had to say
Yesterday
I was always sad and never wore a face jubilantly gay

That was yesterday
Today is today

Yesterday I fell astray
I think it was almost every other day
But that changed in the month of May
As I got down on my knees to pray

Yesterday, Yesterday is gone
I’m free
I’m free
From yesterdays race
I’m back home in my rightful place

Life is work and not just play
Those answers came without delay
Yes but! That was yesterday, not today

All That Is Regarded Foolishness

With experiences lived.
And an aging process accepted,
One realizes upon reflection...
How much easier it is to judge.
Than it is to self-examine.

Not many are fortunate to survive,
Through life threatening diseases.
To then step aside with their eyes open wide,
With a freeing of themselves from insecurities left...
Hidden deep inside to confront and rid.

With experiences lived.
And an aging process accepted,
One realizes upon reflection...
How much easier it is to judge.
Than it is to self-examine.

But when that moment in time comes,
An accepting of one's flaws and blemishes are done.
With a leaving behind trivial nonsense.
And all that is regarded as foolishness,
Becomes less tolerated to quickly dismiss.

Yesterday and those mistakes made,
And all that is regarded as foolishness...
Becomes less tolerated to quickly dismiss.

Wishing for excuses and alibis to create,
Becomes less tolerated to quickly dismiss.
And all that is regarded as foolishness disappears.

All That Love Asks

All that I ask, 'says Love, 'is just to stand
And gaze, unchided, deep in thy dear eyes;
For in their depths lies largest Paradise.
Yet, if perchance one pressure of thy hand
Be granted me, then joy I thought complete
Were still more sweet.

'All that I ask, ' says Love, 'all that I ask,
Is just thy hand clasp. Could I brush thy cheek
As zephyrs brush a rose leaf, words are weak
To tell the bliss in which my soul would bask.
There is no language but would desecrate
A joy so great.

'All that I ask, is just one tender touch
Of that soft cheek. Thy pulsing palm in mine,
Thy dark eyes lifted in a trust divine
And those curled lips that tempt me overmuch
Turned where I may not seize the supreme bliss
Of one mad kiss.

'All that I ask, ' says Love, 'of life, of death,
Or of high heaven itself, is just to stand,
Glance melting into glance, hand twined in hand,
The while I drink the nectar of thy breath,
In one sweet kiss, but one, of all thy store,
I ask no more.'

'All that I ask'-nay, self-deceiving Love,
Reverse thy phrase, so thus the words may fall,
In place of 'all I ask, ' say, 'I ask all, '
All that pertains to earth or soars above,
All that thou wert, art, will be, body, soul,
Love asks the whole.

For all that you do

So if you ask me what it is I do with my days
I will tell you I go through them in such a haze
That I'm really not sure what it is I achieve
But I do have a poem or two up my sleeve! .... Suzanne

I appreciate for all that you do
You are not only woman but in essence a factor very much true
A devoted mother and wife
Otherwise life is like facing an edge of knife

Think of those poor ladies!
They have no time to ready
Their children for going to school
As they have no such facilities to fool

To toil hard in hot sun is entirely different
You can look happiness and that is apparent
I can look in their eyes no future but yes long hope
Even though it is hardest of hard job to walk on rope

Child is tied in bed sheet between trunks of trees
Air flows gently to provide him access totally free
See the happiness on face of woman while she works
Such is the day when she dreams about it and starts

I would love to salute all those women
Who are called heaven valley for all those men?
Now occupying highest position in world
Yet dream about reaching to her kind fold

Oh! Women of all kind you deserve the best
As we have found shelter to rest
You take all our responsibilities
That is rarest of rare to augment our capabilities

We shall be all powerless
On the earth to face
If anything turns unfavorable
You are their to look after and face the trouble

I shall look towards sky and raise my head
In recognition of your gratitude and read
All your sacrifice and lead the way carefree
As I am the only creature so thankful to the mighty tree

You deserve kudos for all you do
Not as wife or mother to take us through
But as an special identity to sail us
With so much of confidence and trust

I am a part of all that I have met'..

you’re having one of those
tricky, subtle, unpleasant
‘let’s go for a drink’ job interviews
in a quiet, expensive bar
that slick, smooth bosses go in for
and you feel it’s all wrong way up –
you’re being interviewed for life style,
presentable company wife etc.
and not the job; you’d like
the pay of course, that’s why
you’re here; but now where’s this going,
out of left field – ‘I am a part of
all that I have met’ he says; is that
to remind you that it will always be
his company? Is it something he read
in the latest aspirational book, and
rather fancied it…? Sharply, you loathe
the whole business world that got you
where you are…

now, you’re sitting out an excellent party
except that you’ve been on your feet all day
and now you’re joined on the sofa by an attractive thirty-fivish
who’s also gently cruising the room.. you know
instantly that she’s, as you’d say to the boys
but not, well not yet, to her personally, up for it..
and you’re wittily circling one another
in banter, taking stock of the priority
of your urges, and then she says,
looking you straight in the eye, as if
it’s moving this chat onto another plane, ‘I am
a part of all that I have met’.. and you try
to suppress the comeback line,
yes, lady, I’ll bet you are…
pretentious flirty cow, says your inner jock…

Around 1666, when London burned
like a pile of sticks, Milton, blind poet,
said this. And of course, never saw the flames;
I wonder if he felt their distant warmth to chill his soul?
What made him say this, a statement almost heroic,
magnificent; a poet who also cared deeply for
freedom of expression… you’ve skipped
pages, chunks, of his ‘Paradise Lost’…
and now, one single remark quoted,
and you simply want to meet him;
drag him out of history into the present time,
ask him about his life, try to know
what made him - sixtyish, blind,
having just written that sonnet on his blindness
which once made you weep when you were young,
say of his life, I am a part of all that I have met…
