In You I Find The Beginning Of Each New Day

In you I find the beginning of each new day,
like the early wind rustling through the trees,
you come constantly, visiting me with happiness
like the first golden rays of sunshine bringing light

giving a kind of freedom to our love,
that rises as if with wings up into the blue,
while in your absence comes a starless night
without any tranquillity or kind of rest.

Your voice has a sparkle to it that out sing
the many birds, even the rustling sad wind
and I am lost in the depths of your words,
when in loveliness you hit some high notes.

You draw people to you like a mother hen,
with nostalgic, longing voices yearning for your joy
are like a road that I continually travel on,
where I find new kinds of things in your loving.

Each New Day

Each new day, I look to Jesus, the One Who shepherds all of us,
All who have found new life, in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
No longer must I search aimlessly, for what on earth I need to be,
I just look to God every day, and my Savior leads me all the way.

Who I am, to me, is very clear, and there is nothing I need to fear,
For I am God’s child forever, and my God shall forsake me never,
I’m now a member of God’s family, and I am God’s child eternally,
So every need during the present, from my Lord is Heavenly sent.

My life presently is one journey, that my Lord has planned for me,
And every day can be a blessing, when I rely upon Christ my King,
As Christ not only is my Savior, but He’s Eternal God and Creator,
Christ Jesus, Savior of my soul, is The Eternal King who’s over all.

So this today my dear Brother, is one more day just like any other,
With our Eternal King still reigning, we are His army, still in training,
For that time which is still ahead, a time we need not fear or dread,
As His Judgment on sin is poured, we’ll be protected by The Lord.

So to Him, we must bring others to, on each day we claim as new,
Leading others while on this earth, to a new life, through New Birth,
Through the Spirit of God’s Son, who offers New Life to everyone,
So they can have God’s certainty, upon this earth and into Eternity.

Brand New Day

Each petal of every flower,
from white to flaming red,
opens to greet each new day,
from their sleepy bed.
Every living creature,
whether it is large or small,
awakes from their slumber
as each brand new day comes to call.
As the world awakes around us,
all its wonders begin to appear,
as if someone has waved a magic wand,
when the sun begins to appear,
and a brand new day comes to call.

New Day

A new day,
will always come,
I Have to remember that,
and not act so dumb.

I'll always get by,
and I'll never truly fall,
even when my back,
is up against a wall.

There's always a way,
to break free,
of these chains,
so let me be.

It takes a while,
but now I know,
that no matter what,
there are other ways to go.

Each new day,
will have ups and downs,
just remember,
there's always ways around.

The Blank Page

The blank page on the screen
Waits for the words to be born
Not knowing what they mean
It bears them night and morn.

On it come to life many tales
Happy, sad, and in between
Here now and in a moment it stales
Words take a thought to ruin.

It sure bears them all
With no rolling tears nor smiles
The rush for the maddening scrawl
That runs for endless miles.

A New Day Dawning

aaa new day dawning

i wake up in the morning to see the
beginning of a new day dawning
some days are bright while others are dull
but regardless of the weather
i thank god for such a sight
the daylight penetrates the darkness
and soon it will be light
birds begin chirping in a nearby tree
while others are soring over the sea
while looking at the morning sky
i see the sun penetrating the fog and dew
a duck quakes in the cove
i see the fog lifting off the water
and the water begins to ripple from the morning
breeze
i am content and thank god for giving me the
pleasure of seeing a new day dawning

Blank Page

Blank page leave me be!
Blank page please stop taunting me,
reminding me of what I have failed to do.
Oh how I long to fill you,
to take up your very last line
with creative, riveting lyrics of mine.

Blank page stop harassing me!
I wish to show you my thoughts,
desires, emotions and all.
How difficult it is to answer your call.

Blank page how sweetly you whisper
tempting my pen to caress your paper.
I immaturely expect the verses to flow
then I realize that my thoughts are much too slow.

Blank page so often you defeat me
teasing and challenging until hours later
all that is left is the tiny dot
where my pen merely touched your paper.

Promise of a New Day

Promise of a new day

My faith is weathering like the corps of a rusty iron
I think my extremity has been reached
No earthly drug there be can seemly suppress this blunt-daggered blow
Life has hit me hard I know, many times too much
I wonder how much there is to take
These pains has finally become a habit that will soon lose all potency
Despite all blows I still have one prayer that lightens my hard done soul
A treasure in Pandora's box
New hope will spring with the rising of tomorrow's sun
dreams will become fresh and renewed like the grass-dew of dust new day
that will usher in a time of jubilant dances
the worst will be finally over
and the finest days still lies ahead
all be enclosed in a promise of a new day

A Blank Page Blues

I know we have all done it,
sat in front of a pristine white sheet of paper
and got ready to write something down,
and then we are confronted
with the blank page blues.
The words of inspiration
then scurry and hide away.
You are left with pen in hand,
scratching your head
wondering what to say.
There is no cure for this syndrome;
writers get it all the time.
Some call it a writer’s block,
when nothing comes into your head.
You sit in front of a blank page.
You know what you want to write,
then someone disturbs you
and the words disappear out of sight.
How many times have we had that?
We sit down to write our masterpiece
and the telephone rings,
or someone shouts your dinner is getting cold.
You feel like screaming,
but you take it on the chin.
You lay down your pen,
answer the phone or have your dinner,
and when you come back,
the blank page confronts you.
Still you cannot write anything on it.
You stare at it for hours,
until finally you get tired
and journey off to bed.
Hoping and hoping tomorrow
a little peace, it will bring
and your words on that blank page
will really begin to sing.

A blank page for the Self

‘About the Self, dear seeker,
nothing can be said..’

say the bright-eyed sages with
a chuckle and a wink;
a chuckle and a wink..

granting, later, that if you
can spare the timeless time,
you could start listing (for your self-same self)
that which Self is not..

well I’m not satisfied with that..

I’m going to start a list
for you yourself to add to,
of those times when… so, so nearly…
you almost, almost, saw yourself -
(when of course, not looking for yourself…)

as you passed that mirror in the cloakroom,
the shopwindow that’s been newly washed;
looked into the rockpool,
in your childhood’s waking dream..

when you hear – not the first note,
but the second, of some Mozart piece:
and something tells you that the mind
that knew what chord must follow from the first
has heard, has known, its self;

the moment that the playful wind
makes plastic bag into a jellyfish;

just as you see a kite tail-twisting over the rooftops;
before you wonder whether there’s a string;

just as a taste you never met before
meets several places in your mouth at once;

the moment that the scent of summer field
is sweeter to the nose than any flower;

these, like messages to say,
you’ll never catch me; but you’ll know

that I’m around..

And now I’ll leave the remainder of this page
for you to add to; or to rest blank,
as the remainder that is perfect evermore;

or for you to gaze some moments at…
contented; asking nothing
when there’s nothing left to ask;

knowing that you know your present self..
and need to know no more right now;

yet know that there, beyond,
is where all stillness smiles.

Every Day Is A New Day

(malik pendelton/juanita wynn/tracey anderson)
Every day is a new day
Since you went away
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day and I see
It was best for you and me
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day
Since you went away from me
You were my comfort zone
I depended on you for everything
I wanted in my life, yes I did
But now that youre gone
Im doing just fine without you
How I bless the day you went away
Now I have a song inside
The birds sing to me
I finally can be
Free to spread my wings in harmony
Now the sun shines on me
I have been set free
To collect my thoughts and jot them down
All this happiness Ive found
Since youve been away
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day and I see
It was best for you and me
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day
Since you went away from me
It may sound crazy, but I forgive you
And want the best for you
The circumstances came my way
Now Ive learned to do for myself
And all the things I thought
That you would do for me
Like leaving me alone
To go for my own
When youre not at home
Im glad youre gone
Now I have a song inside
The birds sing to me
I finally can be
Free to spread my wings in harmony
Now the sun shines on me
I have been set free
To collect my thoughts and jot them down
All this happiness Ive found
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day and I see
It was best for you and me
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day
Since you went away from me
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day and I see
It was best for you and me
How I bless that day
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day
Since you went away from me
Every day
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day and I see
It was best for you and me
Since you went away from me
My whole life has made a change
Every days a new day
Since you went away from me

Changing Seasons.

On Thanksgiving day it shone brightly
And the following day it disappeared;
Lately, the mornings had become cooler and so had the nights;
The squirrels seemed to get busier and hurried,
Now l think l understand:
For the sun shines no more on the island!
Yet l see it still in the yellow and brown leaves
Of the maple trees that are strewn on the ground.

Soft winds mourn and the poor robin grieves.
In a battle they will sure lose sooner than later,
Shades of red leaves cling tightly to the stems;
One by one they let go and to the ground they clutter.
The light rains are a wonder;
Such sweet music all day and into the night!

In my dreams, as the season changes,
When my mind is relieved of the body asleep,
How so joyously l dance to mbira and marimba music!
And for each new day l am grateful;
Grateful for the gift of life;
Grateful for my family and friends the world over...

God's Secret Splendour!

It is the sunrise once again - that special moment when
The light of heaven warms the morning flowers!
The chorus of the sparrows flies round and round like arrows
In celebration of the dawning hours!
Plants with petals open wide in thanks for heat supplied,
And fragrance fills the very air itself!
City gents are on the march with shirtsleeves full of starch -
All business-like and on-the-look for wealth!
Young children, with a yawn, greet each new day with scorn -
With school, perhaps, the first thing on their minds!
The family pets awake! (Let them out for goodness sake!)
And so, you see, each brand new day unwinds...
Town gossips start to call, and give their very all,
As soon as they can sit beside a phone!
The pilgrims start to pray, petitions to relay,
And God gets an earache when the grim ones moan!
How few have seen the splendour of sunrise soft and tender -
Unparalleled in Nature’s vast array!
Late nights are our excuse - that’s why so many choose
To snooze and snooze and snooze... past break of day...

In each and every new day

In each and every new day,
even when I have feelings of gloom
when life takes loved ones away
You are still visiting me in my room.

When I see the morning sun rising
over fields where wild flowers bloom
in a hot sunny day
I know your hand is at play.

The Morning Light Is Here/ A New Day Is Here

The morning light is here
A new day is here
Life begins again
Hope also-

God has made the world in such a way
That each day is a new day
And each morning a new hope

I thank God for this
I thank God for so much
It is my son's Hebrew birthday today
I thank God for such a son-

A prayer for the new year

The tide of time washes over the old year as it fades away
and the new year is beginning bringing in a brand new day.
A clean slate and a blank canvas made ready for me to display
many acts of love and kindness throughout each new day.
Father give me the grace to fill each canvas with acts of love
As I walk in the footsteps of my Lord from heaven above

To Explore A New Day Given

My eyes await for the rising of Sun,
To appreciate all that comes.
With anticipation.
And...
All that is experienced,
After that is done...
I welcome as an opportunity,
To explore a new day given.
And foolishly,
I may do a seeking of obstacles to remove.
Since tomorrow,
I wish not to do what I could today choose.
As each day I live I will define my purpose.

New Day

The morning mist recedes
as a new day is born.
The sun sparkles on the dewdrops
and warms each petals head
as each living creature awakes
from its sleepy head.
A new day with new beginnings
for everyone and everything.
For some it will bring joy
in measures unbound,
while for others there will be sorrows
to darken their frown.
No matter what kind of day
it begins like,
it can always be worked upon.

Ode to a Blank Page

Ode to a blank page
It’s blue seemingly thin lines flying across the page
Each producing a small space to place your thoughts on

Next lies the taunting red margin
Baring how sparsely you’ve done

You can strike the page with a single blow
Leaving a mark that did no good

Ode to a blank page
Why do you stare?
Taunting and shrieking in my ear

Emptiness fills the page
The blanks intimidate even the strong

How strong it is
To give a cut even to the toughest skin

Ode to a blank page
You know I’m jealous
How I despise all your characteristics
