Rain-Dreary Day

I'm chilled to the bone this rainy day.
It's been pouring and pouring my time away.
My words are circling again in my head
while the rain comes down and the worms are fed.

It's the change in temperature that's chilled me so.
It's my change in thinking that takes me low.
I'm a sun-lover whose words come alive
just like sunflower, they seem to thrive.

So I'll warm myself and layer my clothes
and use some tissues to warm my nose.
The warmth of the pen with its ink-like blood
will fill the page while the rain does flood.

And at the end of this rain-dreary day
I'll reflect back and find a way
to warm my bones and welcome my bed,
then cover up the words that were in my head.

Winter Rainy Day

It is still raining
It is pouring rain
It is chilly and windy
It is winter day
The thick dark clouds
hanging over the sky
The gloom fills the air
You hear the humming sound
of falling rain
It is winter day
The sun behind the clouds
have shied and disappeared
The blue sky have been
painted gray
It is winter day
Winter is magical time of the year
When nature sheds its tears
Filling us with emotions
Bringing water
to the land and lakes
Just a reason we thank
The winter rainy day

Today Might Be A Rainy Day

TODAY MIGHT BE A RAINY DAY

today might be a rainy day
but there is another way
to brighten your mood
towards others be happy and good
think of giving love
like the heavenly white dove

raindrops are falling
they keep on rolling
glittering like million of stars
smashed over by passing cars
why should one be sad
you are alive so be glad

rain washes dirt
without any hurt
except becoming a flood
like an angry god
he who offers us rainy days
as well as many sunny rays

today might be a rainy day
but there is another way
to brighten your mood
open up your heart
send away loving darts
spreading smiles
over hundreds of miles

even though today might be another rainy day

A Rainy Day In Early June

The gray sky clouded over the rain is drizzling down
And the golf course is deserted by the river near the town
An early June day in early Winter in the Southern Hemisphere
The sun in the rain clouds hidden it is that time of year
From once you hear him singing his voice with you remain
The magpie he is piping in defiance of the rain
The gray and brown red wattlebird with a hoarseness in his cry
Is calling on a flowering gum that drips of rain nearby
To the vast expanse of dark water that crawls slowly to the sea
And in the calm dampness of the drizzling rain come the song of the pee wee
On this rainy day in early Winter it seems a long way from the Spring
When most of Nature's wildborn birds will build their nests and chirp and sing.

Rainy Day In June

A misty shadow spread its wings
And covered all the ground
And even though the sun was out
The rain came pouring down
And all the light had disappeared
And faded in the gloom
There was no hope, no reasoning
This rainy day in june
The eagle spread its mighty wings
And pounced upon its pray
And all the skies, so brilliant blue
Turned suddenly to grey
The cherished things are perishing
And buried in their tomb
There is no hope, no reasoning
This rainy day in june
And everybody felt the rain
Everybody felt the rain
Everybody felt the rain
Everybody felt the rain
The demon stretched its crinkled hand
And snatched a butterfly
The elves and gnomes were hunched in fear
Too terrified to cry
The reckoning was beckoning
Theyre living to their doom
There was no hope, no reasoning
This rainy day in june
And everybody felt the rain
Everybody felt the rain
Everybody felt the rain
Everybody felt the rain

A Rainy Day Enjoyed

Waking this morning is unhurried, even slow –
the weather is saying something to the body.
The forecast for the day, it seems, is rain.

Time, then, for that ease of human living –
a day of light and measured pleasures,
to be indulged in, not too briefly,
not too long; to love each thing at home within itself;

open all the windows, and perhaps the doors –
let in that rain-washed air, conditioned, cool,
be inside and yet outside; it once was said
that rain comes only after sacrifice;
this rain is holy.

Idly open a drawer not opened for some time;
find there a children’s toy or game;
live for some minutes as a child again,
smelling rain as you once smelled it,
full of the promise of a lifetime not yet lived.

Be that child again, in this loving house;
love this rainy day as children do,
living life the way its offered; all
too present to need future dreams;

let the golden present sift gently through your fingers,
you, unhurried, loving life
as it now, today, loves you.

Requiem for a rainy day

In stripes the drops splatter against the window
while others join them in a rainstorm,
the blue white of a thunder flash
that falls instantaneously
stays brightly caught on the inner eye
while some drops are still hanging.

On such a drizzly day,
it is said that my dad
was carried to his grave,
with the wind
drawing on mothers black veil
cypresses whipping to and thro
and tears were pouring down,

while the pastor read again
from the Bible and prayed,
people said their last words,
lying rose petals down during the rain,

but in my memory (that of a three year old child) ,
I remember it as a sunny day
on which black cars in a procession
parked just behind our house,

with people with shining shoes
walking on the dirt road
to where the cemetery
was situated across from the house.

With every rain shower
the one side of that grave
now wants to cave in still further
with the branches of the tree that was planted
thoughtlessly on mother’s place fluttering.

Such A Rainy Day

such a rainy day
she comes to my door
knocking for help
for some comfort in the coldness of a rainy day

some winds too strong
dry leaves blown to the other side
some trees giving to a crack to a fall

she comes on such a rainy day
she is wet and so pitiful to look at

her clothes pasting to her frail body of
a woman deserted

her hair uncombed and blown and scattered
she stands by my door

my brother left her just an hour ago

she is wet, her hair, her body some rain still drips

how can i forget her?

my brother did not love her and he left her

she is crying and her tears drip on her cheeks on her body

how can i be so cruel for not telling her

i love her so,

but she leaves, she is crying and the rain starts pouring again

she is only looking for my brother who left her

how can i help her?

she never utters my name

in her heart, i do not exist.

she loves him, he left her,

i love her, she leaves me

the rain keeps on pouring and fate plays so well like a crazy child

on us

on a rain that comes unplanned, unasked, and goes away unnoticed.

i stand on this door.

i have to close it,

fate does it always better.

i am that crazy child playing in the rain, in my brain

i am wet, my thoughts dripping like rain,

like droplets and my tears,

i am glad, my tears are invisible.

closes her black umbrella
wet in the rain she
enters the

leaving him for good

I'd love to have you on a rainy day

I'd love to have you on a rainy day
Tucked in a chair, my head against your knee
To sit and dream with. Sometime you must be
My home-sharer whom rain can't keep away.

Rainy Day in Chicago

Rain sprinkles the ground
damping the fallen leaves.
Grey clouds fill the sky
hiding the sun.
The wind blows off the lake
shaking the trees.
I sit inside trying to fight my boredom
so I don't fall asleep.
Wow it is just another rainy day in Chicago.

Rainy Day

Rainy Day

It was eight in the morning when I heard

a car door slam and a car drive off.

It rained all day and it soothed my nerves

to hear water trickle down old roof tiles;

stuck indoors, I didn't have an umbrella.

Five o'clock, afternoon, the car returned

and the same door slammed shut,

the rain continued, the water trickling

was a Geneva Convention offence; utterly

bored now and still without an umbrella.

On a Rainy Day

The morning air was very cold,
And the sky was extensively grey
On that heavy rainy day.

It invited me to write...
Some heartfelt common lines
From the bottom of my heart.

As the rain was heavily touching the ground,
I thought of thousands of homeless around
Without a shelter, food and care
In the urgent need of a family,
Which would be fair.

The rain had already stopped
When someone knocked at my door.
I saw a young couple barefoot,
Who, for so little, blessed me and my family galore.

I close my eyes always want to fly

just forget the sounds of silence telling it to me loudly and clear

A Rainy Day

Slipping through the open sash.
Cool wet freshness
draws me from the depth
of my slumber's darkness.

The gentle cadence
of falling rain.
Its soft pelt splashing
upon the window pane.

Coursing down
the glass transparency.
Rivulets of wetness
distort the world outside I see

A canopy of leaves
keeps dry a nest
of fledgling birds.
While they rest.

Bright golden sun
now hidden away.
By gray clouds
whose visit pay.

The rain they bring
falls on dry earth.
To cleanse and quench
coax forth rebirth.

On a rainy day
the world I see.
Quiet soft gentle
A world of peace to me.

Rainy Day In June

I need some sunshine on my face
To help me dry my eyes
I need a blue sky over here
So I can clear my mind
Maybe your soft breath on my back
To make me feel at ease
Anything more than what I've got
On this rainy day in June
It's a rainy day in June
The sky is grey and I am blue
Tryin' to make it without you
On this rainy day in June
Yesterday morning I woke up
On the wrong side of the bed
And on the right side laid a note
I knew what it said
Then the rain came, hasn't stopped
I don't know if it will
But I'll keep waiting with the hopeful heart
On this rainy day in June
It's a rainy day in June
The sky is grey and I am blue
Tryin' to make it without you
On this rainy day in June
The thunder rolls, the lightning flashes
Every thought began with you
I see your face in every clouded paths
On this rainy day in June
It's a rainy day in June
The sky is grey and I am blue
Tryin' to make it without you
On this rainy day in June

Rainy Day Man

What good is that happy lie
All you wanted from the start was to cry
It looks like another fall
Your good friends they dont seem to help at all
When youre feeling kind of cold and small
Just look up your rainy day man
It does you no good to pretend child
Youve made a hole much too big to mend
And it looks like you lose again, my friend
Call on your rainy day man
Now rainy day man he dont like sunshine
He dont chase rainbows
He dont need good times
Grey days rolling
Then youll see him
Empty feeling
Now you need him
All those noble thoughts they just dont belong
You cant hide the truth with a happy song
And since you knew where you stood all along
Just look up your rainy day man
Now simple pleasures they all evade you
Store-bought treasures none can save you
Look for signs to ease the pain
Ask again
Go on and pray for rain
It looks like another fall
Your good friends they dont seem to help at all
When youre feeling kind of cold and small
Just look up your rainy day man
All I need to do is look up my rainy day man
Now what good is that happy lie
All you wanted from the start was to cry

That Rainy Day

THAT RAINY DAY
They prayed in unison
For the eluding rain
Long waited in despair
Staring at the horizon
Months passed without a sign
Testing their patience
Hot Sun heckled with a sneer
Night sky speckled
With moon and stars
Leered in ridicule
An old farmer averred
“We’re all cursed by the Goddess
To whom we shunned oblation
That was offered every annum”
Asserted one literate peasant
Its all green house effect”
Soon cried an yeoman in glee
“There in the skies! See! ”
Spotting a black nimbus
Hovering over Northern expanse
When came a squall of promise
Followed by what they long missed
Drop by drop; as a tickle of hope
First that started as a drizzle
And grew into a blissful deluge
The tillers found no bounds to their delight
They laughed, screamed and danced
Their mirth and play went astray
Till they heard the direful horns blare
Of cars and jeeps that came

Got down were many men
Of unmistakable power and authority
Of high echelons of bureaucracy
Declared one well-determined
“We came to take your land
To make a project grand
We give jobs to all and
Recompense loss in kind
Or in cash as you intend”
The rain paused in dismay
The greens faded in disgust
One farmer with strength gained
Pleaded in jarred tone

“Sirs, we live by plough
Know not the jobs you give
We know your sweet love
Only a clever maneuver
To evict us from this farm field”
Then came the declaration
“You give land in volition
Or we take by compulsion”
With a thunder resumed the rain
Their eyes showered all along in vain
All of a sudden a shade of gloom
Descended over them
Erasing their volatile dream
The spluttering rain abashed
Under the ominous calm
Of the impending doom
Slumped were the dejected tillers
On their own adored soil
Sobbing violently; their tears
Wetting their Earth dear
And their nails scrapping the dirt
A bit of plough as their last effort
With no grain or gain to collect

Shelter For A Rainy Day

Key:-a - anita r - ray
A: oh....
R: shelter on a rainy day
A: you may need me like I need you
A: I see the clouds gathing in the sky
When my worries, fill my mind
What to call us, begins to fade
I wanna be with you when its starts to rain
cause I can hide in your arms
So safe and one
With you as my protection
To help me through the storm
A: you give me shelter on a rainy day
You are all that Im needed
When clouds are turning grey
You give me shelter on a rainy day
My tears have lost they meaning
Love have washed them all away
A: youve washed my tears away yeah!
Yeah yeah
A: if inside your heart, it starts to rain
Just call me up, I ease the pain
You dont even need to be alone
When the wind, begins to mour
cause whenever you may need me, like I need you
Then let me be right by your side
If love will see it through
A: you give me shelter on a rainy day
You are all that Im needed
When clouds are turning grey
You give me shelter on a rainy day
My tears have lost they meaning
Love have washed them all away
A: you give me shelter on a rainy day
On a rainy day
You are all that Im needed
When clouds are turning grey
You give me shelter
You give me shelter on a rainy day
My tears have lost they meaning
Love have washed them all away
R: a shelter on a rainy day
A lucky warm place, for you and I to stay
Hum, what youre thinking
No tell me no lies cause your eyes are blinking
Theres a place girl, down deep in my heart
You know the feeling, a relationship to star
I send my love without delay
cause you know I got a shelter on a rain day
A: you give me shelter
Your love has washed them all away
A: you give me shelter on a rainy day
You are all that Im needed
When clouds are turning grey
You give me shelter on a rainy day
My tears have lost they meaning
Love have washed them all away
A: you give me shelter on a rainy day

You are all that Im needed
When clouds are turning grey
You give me shelter
You give me shelter on a rainy day
My tears have lost they meaning
Love have washed them all away

Sunny Rainy Day

The sky is bright
But it's raining
The sun is high
But flood is on the road
The wind is strong
I take a bath on day
And cheers and laugh
Crushing water like on the sea
Is this sunny day
with grey cloud?
Or is this rainy day
with smile sky?
