You can't win the war and the battle cause,
That struggle is in your head.
And kept there seven days a week.
With no sleep there you're reaping.

You can't win the war and the battle cause,
That struggle is in your head.
And kept there seven days a week.
With no sleep there you're reaping.

All you like to do is nitpick my wrongs.
With that constant picking that you see fit.
But only you brood sucking your thumb.
Without that finger licking that you want done!

Nicky nicky nicky nicky nicky nick pick,
Pick bones...
That's all you really want to do,
Pick bones...
Pick over bones that's gone!

Pick bones...
Pick over bones that's gone,
With a finger licking done like you've won!

That struggle is in your head.
And kept there seven days a week.

Leau Et Le Vin

Leau et le vin
Je veux leau et le vin
La pierre et le raisin
Je veux leau dans tes mains
Et le vin quand il convient
Leau et le vin
Je veux leau et le vin
La mer que me revient
Je veux leau des marins
Au chagrin
Il est vain den rajouter
Trop de tanin
Me fait sombrer
En eau douce, en zone sinistree
... il est vain den rajouter
... il est vain den rajouter
Leau et le vin
Je veux leau et le vin
La terre et le venin
Je veux leau des marins
Aussi bon que le pain
Le vin qui me parle
Et leau qui ne dit rien
Poisson dans lun
Poison dans lautre
... leau et le vin...
Au chagrin
Il est vain den rajouter
Trop de tanin
Me fait sombrer

Malvina

Mal va malvina
Que a los hombres enloquece
Caprichosa es esa nia
Mal va malvina
Que a los hombres enloquece
Caprichosa es esa nia
Un amor violentado
Susurro en susurrado
Y al mundo se aventur
Si fue a baha, no s
Si fue a sao paulo, no s
Si fue para ro, al mundo
Quizs vuelva pronto, tal vez
Si fue a baha, no s
Si fue a sao paulo, no s
Si fue para ro, al mundo
Quizs vuelva pronto, tal vez
Mal va malvina
Que a los hombres enloquece
Caprichosa es esa nia
Mal va malvina
Que a los hombres enloquece
Caprichosa es esa nia
Se visti de impertinencia
Di un grito de independencia
Y al mundo se aventur
Si fue a puerto rico, no s
Si fue a buenos aires, no s
Si fue a maracaibo, al mundo
Quizs vuelva pronto, tal vez
Si fue a baha, no s
Si fue a sao paulo, no s

Dog Log

Walkin cross a long, long, long, long, long, long, log
(Just like you Marley!)
Walkin cross a long, long, long, long, long, long, log
I've been walkin cross a log
I've been walkin with a dog dog dog
(This ones for you Marley!)
Walkin cross a long, long, long, long, long, long, log
(Marley this ones for you, were checking this one for you Marley!)I've been walkin cross the log
I've been wonderin where my dog done gone
(Hey Marley, this ones for you man, This ones for you Marley, were singingthis one for you!)
Stepped upon a long, long, long, long, long, long, log
(Marley if you like this one roll over on your back!)
Stepped upon a long, long, long, long, long, long, log
Stepped upon a log, walkin through the fog fog fog
(Singing about you Marley, were singing for you!)
Stepped upon a long, long, long, long, long, long, log
(Were through with discussion, were singing this one for you Marley)Dog log is hereI knew if she was near, she was still sneezin
(No were talking about here dog Marley)
Its Holdsworth!
Holdsworth!
Holdsworth!
Holdsworth!
Walkin cross a long, long, long, long, long, long, log
(Time for discussion, right here before the next lyric, discussion!)
I've been walkin with a dog, dog, dog.
(I saw Holdsworth sittin at the table)
Walkin cross a long, long, long, long, long, long, log
(Speakin to the Lord!)
I've been walkin cross the log
(I ran into Holdsworth!)
Walkin cross the log
I've been wonderin where Holdsworth done gone
Where's my dog gone?
Where's my dog gone?
Where's my dog gone?

English Bards and Scotch Reviewers: A Satire

'I had rather be a kitten, and cry mew!
Than one of these same metre ballad-mongers'~Shakespeare

'Such shameless bards we have; and yet 'tis true,
There are as mad, abandon'd critics too,'~Pope.

Still must I hear? -- shall hoarse Fitzgerald bawl
His creaking couplets in a tavern hall,
And I not sing, lest, haply, Scotch reviews
Should dub me scribbler, and denounce my muse?
Prepare for rhyme -- I'll publish, right or wrong:
Fools are my theme, let satire be my song.

O nature's noblest gift -- my grey goose-quill!
Slave of my thoughts, obedient to my will,
Torn from thy parent bird to form a pen,
That mighty instrument of little men!
The pen! foredoom'd to aid the mental throes
Of brains that labour, big with verse or prose,
Though nymphs forsake, and critics may deride,
The lover's solace, and the author's pride.
What wits, what poets dost thou daily raise!
How frequent is thy use, how small thy praise!
Condemn'd at length to be forgotten quite,
With all the pages which 'twas thine to write.
But thou, at least, mine own especial pen!
Once laid aside, but now assumed again,
Our task complete, like Hamet's shall be free;
Though spurn'd by others, yet beloved by me:
Then let us soar today, no common theme,
No eastern vision, no distemper'd dream
Inspires -- our path, though full of thorns, is plain;
Smooth be the verse, and easy be the strain.

When Vice triumphant holds her sov'reign sway,
Obey'd by all who nought beside obey;
When Folly, frequent harbinger of crime,
Bedecks her cap with bells of every clime;
When knaves and fools combined o'er all prevail,
And weigh their justice in a golden scale;
E'en then the boldest start from public sneers,
Afraid of shame, unknown to other fears,
More darkly sin, by satire kept in awe,
And shrink from ridicule, though not from law.

Such is the force of wit! but not belong
To me the arrows of satiric song;
The royal vices of our age demand
A keener weapon, and a mightier hand.

Et dans la forêt sombre errait depuis deux jours;
Il se traîne, il n'attend qu'une mort douloureuse;

Passe le pont mobile, entre dans la maison;

Cat People

See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
Colder than the moon
Feel my blood enraged
It's just the fear of losing you
Don't you know my name
Well, you been so long
And i've been putting out fire
With gasoline
See these eyes so red
Red like jungle burning bright
Those who feel me near
Pull the blinds and change their minds
It's been so long
Still this pulsing night
A plague i call a heartbeat
Just be still with me
But it wouldn't believe what i've been thru
You've been so long
Well it's been so long
And i've been putting out the fire with gasoline
Putting out the fire
With gasoline
See these tears so blue
An ageless heart that can never mend
Tears can never dry
A judgement made can never bend
See these eyes so green
I can stare for a thousand years
Just be still with me
You wouldn't believe what i've been thru
Well you've been so long
It's been so long
And i've been putting out fire with gasoline
Putting out fire with gasoline
Putting out fire
We've been putting out fire
Well it's been so long so long so long
Yes it's been so long so long so long
I've been putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
And putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
Yeah yeah putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
Been putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
Yeah putting out fire
Been so long so long so long
Putting out fire

Peace & Love

Peace and love,
y una carga de metralla,
de rodillas al sol;
eso ya no me interesa,
ni sus guerras
ni su Dios.
Grito ciego
con mi cara de can,
de maldicin, de radio humano.
Plomo,
plomo sulfurando tu aliento,
plomo recargado en tu voz,
en tu dia,
tanta saliva,
malva de nia fina.
Tu tu tururututu
Peace and Love,
como espuma fermentada.
Quien te vende dolor
disfrazado de placeres?
Grita ciego
con tu cara de can,
de maldicin, de radio humano.
Plomo,
plomo sulfurando tu aliento,
plomo recargado en tu voz,
en tu dia,
tanta saliva,
malva de nia fina.
Plomo,
plomo sulfurando tu aliento,

en tu dia,
tanta saliva,
malva de nia fina.

Luv N U

[Verse 1]
Your Eyes are telling me
On my knees is where I should be
On your lips I can read my name
Even though you ain't said a thing
I know I've been here before
A familiar place in fact I'm sure
That I, you, something in between
That's haunting me
[Chorus]
Instantly you're on top of me
So good to see you on top of me
This is where I'm supposed to be
All up into you
There's no place I would rather be
Livin' inside of your ebony
Lovin' you, make love to you
Love ya, Oh my lo-vin' you
[Verse 2]
Got me open and I can't explain
How in our ecstasy there's no shame
Composure we had is gone
Lust in us we can't tame
We've been here before
This familiar place in fact I'm sure
It was a dusk, dawn, through the afternoon
I'm still in you
[Chorus]
Breakdown
Baby I just can't get enough
Even though you're mine
I want it all the time yeah
Oooo
Make love to you, love ya
Lovin' you, Oh my lo-vin' you
[Chorus (Repeat)]
Love ya, Oh my lo-vin'
You... You...
You... (Instantly you're on top of me)
Loving you, make love to you
Love ya, Oh my lo-vin' you
Instantly you're on top of me
So good to see you on top of me

Vindicated

Vindicated!
When you've been vindicated,
There's a feeling that is felt this is elated.

When you've been vindicated,
From those acts that can decay...
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

When you've been accused,
By other people for things you did not do...
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

Tossing and turning and can't sleep,
By those deceivers planning defeat...
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

When you've been depicted to be a fool,
By others who wish to undo you...
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

Vindicated!
When you've been vindicated,
There's a feeling that is felt this is elated.

When you've been vindicated,
From those acts that can decay...
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

Vin-di-cated!
When you've been vindicated,
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

Vin-di-cated!
When you've been vindicated,
There's a weigh that lifts and chases blues away.

Vin-di-cated!
When you've been vindicated,

Come A Long Way

Swing low, could be the last call for two of us
I said swing high, reach out and touch the sky
But dont cry yet, its not time yet
See this race is wrong
Come see, this race is right
See millions of years pass with no end in sight
Sleep tight, you couldnt count the cost through the night
cause its not right, it never was right
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Up on may day, and there is a carnival on my street tonight
I hear them dancing, I hear them dancing
But on a clear day
If this thing dont move here
Then this thing just dont have no heartbeat
Get on the street, I say
Sweet hours to live, I got no time to kill
I said hold back those arms raised hold back the bill
Sleep tight, you couldnt count the cost through the night
cause its not right, it never was right
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Swing low, could be the last call for two of us
I said swing high, reach out and touch the sky
But dont cry yet, its not time yet
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Come a long, long
Come a long, long way
Come a long, long

O Hush Thee, - Though Maybe parody Sir Walter Scott - Lullaby on an Infant Chief

O Hush Thee, - Though Maybe...

O hush thee, though maybe desires in the night
for [s]mothering lady, lewd, lovely and tight,
would make you less lonely, sweet dreams would flow free,
they’d all tell of longings precocious in thee!

O flush not the toilet for loudly it blows,
awaking the warders who guard thy repose,
their belts they’d unbuckle, bare bottoms be red,
should any young lady draw near to your bed.

Don’t blush for, sweet baby, the time may soon come
when thy sleep shall be broken by bosom and bum,
then hush thee, my darling, fake rest while you may,
till a wife takes your manhood, - then rake every day!

25 April 1990 Parody Sir Walter SCOTT – Lullaby for an Infant Chief

O Hush Thee, My Baby - Parody Sir Walter Scott

O hush thee, my baby, thy sire was a Chimp,
his ancestor’s mother amoeba or shrimp,
the woods and the glens you see, once under sea,
all bear silent witness to thy history.

Fear not evolution, for progress revolves
around its lost secrets ‘til scientist solves
how toes, once extended prehensile, could free
Mankind for steps taken to end up with thee!

Soon brain implantations shall banish revolt,
dispensing with thoughts non-conformist with jolt
shocks of a nature to well guarantee
subservience set in tag RFID.

Yet brain stimulation through radio waves
may set the ball rolling for much mankind craves
as areas, dormant, awake for fresh free
with flash telepathic advancing on key.

Know privacy, freedoms, most must sacrifice
in the name of the fight for what’s Right versa vice, -
and verses like this may to posterity
be unknown in a world were none dare disagree.

‘O, hush thee, my baby, take rest while I croon,
for ‘Progress’ comes early, and Freedom too soon’
may with some liberal economy

Diesel In The Dust

My daddy told me boy, you only shoot to kill
Im livin just for that thrill
Nobody hurts me cos the paybacks twice as bad
In this town you dont make a man mad
* ted mckinleys dying
At the wheel of his truck
The engine running till it seized up
And nobody heard a thing
Not a shout or gun shot ring
Just a smell of diesel in the dust
(diesel in the dust)
Mckinley wouldnt back down from any man alive
But you need to if youre to survive
The folks in town wanna settle their score
By using their own kinda law
* repeat
[instrumental]
No one had seen a thing when the sheriffs car pulled in
Just the silence you get from kin to kin
The preacher bowed his head, glad that he was dead
And the better the least that was said
* repeat
In this town there was a man out on his own
With no account of how he stood alone
Nobody hear a thing, not a shout or gun shot ring
Just the smell of diesel in the dust
Diesel in the dust

Saturday Night's Alright

It's getting late have you seen my mates,
It's getting late have you seen my mates,
Go on and tell me when the boys get here.
Go on and tell me when the boys get here.
It's seven o'clock and I want to rock,
It's seven o'clock and i want to rock,
Want to get a belly full of beer.
Want to get a belly full of beer.
My old man's drunker than a barrel full of monkeys
My old man's drunker than a barrel full of monkeys
And my old lady she don't care
And my old lady she don't care
My sister looks cute in her braces and boots with a handful of grease in her hair.

Hey... Don't give us none of your aggravation,
Hey... don't give us none of your aggravation,
We've had it with your discipline.
We've had it with your discipline.
Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting, get a little action in.
Saturday night's alright for fighting, get a little action in.
I get about as oiled as a diesel train, gonna set this dance alight.
I get about as oiled as a diesel train, gonna set this dance alight.
Cause' Saturday Night's the night I like,
Cause' saturday night's the night i like,
Saturday Nights Alright..
Saturday nights alright..
Alright, Alright!
Alright, alright!
Well, we're packed pretty tight in here tonight and I'm looking for a dolly who'll see me right.
Well, we're packed pretty tight in here tonight and i'm looking for a dolly who'll see me right.
I may use a little muscle to get what I need, and sink a little drink and shout out, 'She's with me!'.
I may use a little muscle to get what i need, and sink a little drink and shout out, "she's with me!".
A couple of the sounds that I really like are the sound of a switchblade and a motorbike.

I'm a juvenile product of the working class, who's best friend floats in the bottom of a glass.

Seasonable Retour-Knell

SEASONABLE RETOUR KNELL
Variations on a theme...
SEASONABLE ROUND ROBIN ROLE REVERSALS

Author notes

A mirrored Retourne may not only be read either from first line to last or from last to first as seen in the mirrors, but also by inverting the first and second phrase of each line, either rhyming AAAA or ABAB for each verse. thus the number of variations could be multiplied several times.- two variations on the theme have been included here but could have been extended as in SEASONABLE ROUND ROBIN ROLE REVERSALS robi03_0069_robi03_0000

In respect of SEASONABLE ROUND ROBIN ROLE REVERSALS
This composition has sought to explore linguistic potential. Notes and the initial version are placed before rather than after the poem.
Six variations on a theme have been selected out of a significant number of mathematical possibilities using THE SAME TEXT and a reverse mirror for each version. Mirrors repeat the seasons with the lines in reverse order.

For the second roll the first four syllables of each line are reversed, and sense is retained both in the normal order of seasons and the reversed order as well... The 3rd and 4th variations offer ABAB rhyme schemes retaining the original text. The 5th and 6th variations modify the text into rhyming couplets.

Given the linguistical structure of this symphonic composition the score could be read in inversing each and every line and each and every hemistitch. There are minor punctuation differences between versions.

One could probably attain sonnet status for each of the four seasons and through partioning in 3 groups of 4 syllables extend the possibilites ad vitam.

SPRING SUMMER

Life is at ease Young lovers long
Land under plough; To hold their dear;
Whispering trees, Dewdrops among,
Answering cow. Bold, know no fear.

Blossom, the bees, Life full of song,
Burgeoning bough; Cloudless and clear;
Soft-scented breeze, Days fair and long,
Spring warms life now. Summer sends cheer.

AUTUMN WINTER

Each leaf decays, Harvested sheaves
Each life must bow; And honeyed hives;
Our salad days Trees stripped of leaves,
Are ending now. Jack Frost has knives.

Fruit heavy lays Time, Prince of thieves,
Bending the bough, - Onward he drives,

Yeah, lost john came into the country womans house
Sat down it was quiet, just as quiet as a mouse
She said, now mister lost john, be my friend,
Be my friend up until the end.

Now that hes long, long, long gone

Takin Me Back

Youre takin me back
I remember it well
Youre takin me back
Its so easy to tell
Youre takin me back
I remember it well
Youre takin me back
A long, long, long time ago
A long, long, long, time ago
You, you let me down-you didnt think of me
I-i wont forget what you did to me-no
You were nice not to say it
Now my heart its breakin
Youre takin me back
I remember it well
Youre takin me back
A long, long, long time ago
A long, long, long, time ago
You, you thought that you- could make a fool of me
Dont dont be so sure that the fool was me- no
I held up I could take it
Now my heart its breakin
Youre takin me back
I remember it well
Youre takin me back
A long, long, long time ago
A long, long, long, time ago
A long time ago-a long time ago
A long time ago- you were breakin
My heart- I never found all the parts
A long time ago-a long time ago
A long time ago-oh-oh-oh
Youre takin me back
I remember it well
Youre takin me back
Its so easy to tell
Youre takin me back
Its written on my face
Youre takin me back
Its so easy to tell- cause youre
(modulate)
Takin me back
I remember it well
Youre takin me back
Its written on my face
Youre takin me back
I remember it well
Youre takin me back
A long,long,long time ago
A long,long,long time ago
