WHERE WARS ARE WON OR LOST & SEPTEMBER 11th

WHERE WARS ARE WON OR LOST & SEPTEMBER 11th

Wars are waged by older men
In battle rooms in countries apart.
Who call for greater firepower
And troops for the combat chart.

While out among the shattered flesh
The dreams of all have turned gray.
So young and determined their faces were
Till on the battlefield they lay.

Unable to overcome their pride
The politicians cast their vote.
For this or that or something else
As the rage of war sounds its note.

Wherever wars are won or lost
The soldiers fall like toys.
Down through history it remains the same
Most who die are hardly more than boys.

Like monkeys in a revolving cage
Man squabbles for the peanuts of power.
When will we rise above our greed
And become as a beautiful flower?

Death to death, dust to dust
The wrath of war is a horrible crime.
It’s the beast within that still prevails
As it has through the torments of time.

WAR IS THE GREATEST PLAGUE OF MAN

As war is fought it takes charge
And events spin out of control.
The madness of men can alter the soil
Which nourishes the roots of their soul.

Many things will forever change
Far more then wished to be.
As the wrath of war starts to destroy
Those things we fight to keep free.

War is the greatest plague of man
Religion, state, and sanity.
Any scourge is more preferred
Than the one which disables humanity.

When war breaks out, boundaries change
And all who die are a token
Of the rage that must run it's course
Before words of peace are spoken.

War I hate, though not men, flags nor race
But war itself with its ugly face.
When we lose faith in the brave, which die
Then we're not fit to greet those who cry.

What distinguishes war isn't death
But that man is slain by fellow man.
Crushed by cruelty and injustice
With his enemy's murderous hand.

War tends to punish the punishers
So the losers won't suffer alone.
The essence of war is but violence
Till the survivors come marching home.

Sometimes it's hard to defend what's right
Sometimes we're forced to rise up and fight.
Sometimes we survive, while others must die
Sometimes never knowing the reason why.

The rush of combat is a natural buzz
Caused by fear, leaving nothing as it was.
Hunting one another like wild game
Without a shortage of those to blame.

Sometimes victory comes too slow or quick
Sometimes the cost on both sides is sick.
Sometimes God is asked to intervene
To help stop the savage from being so mean.

War is a hell we visit before death
Fueled by the whisper of the devil's breath.
There must be a reason man destroys man
But why it is so, I can't understand.

SEPTEMBER 11th

After suffering the wrath of a sneak attack
America now mourns to her very core.
Though soon her enemies shall all but flee
From the sound of America waging full war.

Let there be no doubt, no doubt at all
That the devil has decided to give us a call.
We shall defeat hell’s soldiers and cast them out
And if we die; that's what freedom is about.

We shall seek them out wherever they may hide
Street by street, house-by-house, cave by cave.
They will be eradicated from the face of the earth
By the righteous, the loyal and the brave.

SATAN’S HORDE SHALL BE REMOVED

Overrun with war and uncontrolled leaders
Our world becomes more dangerous each day.
Dishonest politicians, criminals and the media
Survive by their falsehoods at play.

Bible believers preach, that the end is near
Our world as a whole is beyond reform.
God will eradicate all which is wicked
By His fire of eruption and storm.

To evil’s victory, I will never concede
May its supporters anguish in hell.
By the grace of God and the power of faith
The goodness of man will prevail.

What we accomplish is heaven’s measure
As patriots respond to the threats of man.
Protect and defend what we love till death
As the soldiers of Satan arise from the sand.

FREEDOM

In their new uniforms
The young march off
Not knowing who shall return.
With a proud devotion
They brandish their flag
Leaving loved ones to wonder and yearn.

May we all be buried
By all of our children
Is an ancient tribal prayer.
They're so easy to lose
But so hard to forget
Such a burden for a parent to bear.

Oh, the taste of victory
Shall soon be forgotten
But, never that which was lost.
For those rows of white headstones
In peaceful green fields
Make it easy to tally the cost.

America has survived all attempts to destroy
Knowing the cruelty of war
And, we who remain
Must help keep her free
For those who can march no more!

OUR FLAG

Our flag is fabric wove of thread
Carried by heroes live and dead.
She stands for justice and courage too
With her colors; red, white and blue.

For all who serve her, there’ll be cheers
For any who die, there’ll be tears
For all who love her, honor will prevail
Any who harm her, shall suffer and fail.

How many moms have cried before
As they sent their children to war.
How many dads have not returned
Because our freedom must be earned.

Wars were waged where brave men died
As patriots fought side by side.
Our flag is still the pearl of Earth
Because of those who prove her worth.

Count The Cost

Lord Jesus said to count the cost
Before you follow Him,
Before you seek to save the lost,
Each called as God's pilgrim...
For there are demons left and right,
With scoffers dead ahead
And darkness that's as black as night,
For which Lord Jesus bled...

Lord Jesus said to walk with love,
Yet love's more than a kiss,
Yet God grants you with grace enough
That you won't go amiss...
If you but clasp it to your chests
With footsteps borne of faith,
You may be liked as welcomed guests,
In time, some souls to save...

Lord Jesus said that talk was cheap,
Your actions prove your worth
And what you sow is what you reap,
Like wheat upon this Earth...
The legacy that each would leave
When your life's work is done,
Must merit what you will receive,
Rewarded by God's Son...

Lord Jesus said to count the cost
And most knew what He meant,
Though Jesus Christ was double-crossed,
To His own cross He went...
No angels called to rescue Christ
From what God had revealed,
The Lamb of God was sacrificed
And by His stripes we're healed...

Lord Jesus said eternity
Was offered to the wise
And such were bought at Calvary
Before God's Son would rise...
Evangelists are born not made,
Faithful fishers of men...
That's why the cost is sometimes paid
By Christians now and then...

For War The Cost Is Great

As well as for World harmony another huge setback
There is one big lesson to be learned from Iraq
Those who invade other Countries a huge price must pay
For war the cost is great tis always been this way.

Yet powerful leaders and their advisors never learn of war history
Beyond their big egos they cannot seem to see
They tell us of freedom yet they themselves are free
Of compassion for others and human empathy.

So many must suffer and die for a war to be won
And in war winners are losers when all is said and done
For how can one be a winner with so many human lives lost
A victory in war does come at a great cost.

And yet we hear more rumors of war every day
Most leaders with great power lack in wisdom twould be fair to say
And in the future will the lesson of Iraq be another lesson in vain
For the lessons of war in the past do remain.

An obedient tree

In tune with ethics and marital law
If you live, by the society you are hailed.
At what cost? Against your sensual pleasure,
You’ll be a tree, stripped of recurring blossom.

For The Price And The Cost Of One's Life

The fact that it's talked about,
To be discussed...
Has advanced from whispers,
To an accepting public not shocked.

Secrets and demons do not join hands,
When the tentacles of evil reaches.
And has come to squeeze the life,
From one who has sold...
An image made to appear as sweet,
But with a lost soul.

And in places where the doing of it,
Is expected...
Souls are sold to glimmer like gold,
For the price and the cost of one's life.

THE COST...by Talile Ali

V1
ALWAYS AVOIDED FAME
AFRAID TO PAY THE COST
LOSS OF FAMILY
FRIEND'S WHO ALL ARE LOST

THERE IS NO DENYING
THE NEED TO SERVE IS STRONG
THE COST OF SERVICE EXPENSIVE
THAT'S NOT TO SAY IT'S WRONG

CHORUS
BUT IT'S THE COST
IT'S THE COST
GOTTA PAY THE PIPER
OR ELSE YOU'LL BE TOSSED
IT'S THE COST

V2
LOVE IS PLAIN AND SIMPLE
HEART IS STRONG AND TRUE
EPIPHANIES ARE FLOWING
WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU

SO I WRITE AND PERFORM
AND YOU SEE MY NEED
TO DO THIS HERE SERVICE
FOR EVERYONE'S THAT'S PLEASED

JAM FOR 24 BARS

CHORUS
BUT IT'S THE COST
IT'S THE COST
GOTTA PAY THE PIPER
OR ELSE YOU'LL BE TOSSED
IT'S THE COST

FADE OUT

The Cost Of Living

The cost of living is the price we pay
for all those things we need each day
and when calculated over a period of time
works out to a figure that’s likely to climb.
And if our wants go far beyond our needs
we have to get paid well then for our deeds.
But if what we earn can’t match that pace
we’ll have to slow down and not lose face.
Or perhaps consider some additional means
to support what we take on as our routines.

When our lifestyle doesn’t make a hole in our pocket
and the cost of living where we are doesn’t skyrocket
then the rate of inflation there is said to be low
so we can afford to buy those things we know.

The Value of The Cost

A gift gets less value than it’s worth.
A prize gets more value than it’s worth.
A beggar’s penny is far dearer.
A love look of a woman valueless.

Value differs from the cost

if the cost of loving
be my life....
then may death taste

of your lips...
wrap around me
like your arms;

cover me with your body,

with the last fire,

Pays The Cost

fifty years married...
a half century as one.
he sat by her bed,

holding her limp hand....
alzheimer's, and a bad heart,
eyes that didnt know him,

anymore!

he pulled the tubes from
her nose, from her mouth,
from her arms....

and whispered into her ear...
'go, be free...
i wont be long...'

true love pays the cost!

Between Feeding Their Greed and The Cost

There is a wish to decrease,
Increasing deficits.
But those that desire this...
Do not want their lifestyles,
To suffer from it.
Not if it means a tasting of reality.

They want to get across,
Spending habits have them at a loss.
But cut backs to sacrifice...
Has them tossed back and forth,
Between feeding their greed and the cost...
Of trimming away what is perceived as needs.

The Cost Will Be Great (For Dave)

riots,
city streets vomit;
angry, the earth erupts,
sick of it's sickness.
bodies flung against bodies
with a blinding rage...
the faceless demanding faces,
the nameless demanding names.

not knowing, not understanding,
peace, fullness, equality, freedom...
all begin within...
pushed in bloody blackened corners,
lashing out with survival teeth...
change will come,
but the cost will be great!

The Cost Of Freedom

He died serving our country,
in a land far away.
He gave his life for freedom.
They buried him today.

He loved family more than life,
and had to do what's right.
To protect them and his country,
he joined in the fight.

Next time you see a soldier,
don't just pass him by.
Thank him for his service.
81415He might be next to die.

How great the cost of freedom.
How brave those who defend.
Protect them Lord, that they may
safely come back home again.

Whatever The Cost!

into the wetness, ,
lips burnt and bare..
hard hands gone soft,
thoughts falling like drizzle.

gentle, almost tugging,
pulled close to the fire.
till singed, still smoking,
left in the darkness to die.

a thousand deaths though it be,
with each a universe conceived.
the walls of Rome crumble,
to the shouts and the horns.

a crucifix, and a blade,
sharp on both edges.
the taste of blood and beginning,
raw, simple, and strong...

into the wetness,
whatever the cost!

Forget The Cost

Multi-million dollar
Exploration into space
While in the name of progress
This planet's laid to waste
Nation takes on nation
And is stepping up the pace
And someone's got his finger
On the button.
(chorus)
Forget the cost
We've got to choose
We're running in a race
That we can only lose.
Rich is rich and poor is poor
And never the twain shall meet
East is east and west is west
And only one shall eat
The microchip has come of age
And man is obsolete
And someone's got his finger
On the button.
(chorus)
Forget the.......(etc)

The Cost of Freedom

Syria...
violence in the streets...
peaceful protesters
marching for human rights,
equality, and change
being slaughtered
by their own government...

now here...
shadows of Kent State...
common people
pushed to the edge
in the battle for
survival, human dignity,
and hope for a future...

already abandoned
by our own government...

will it take being
killed to get their attention?
will it take dying
to give our children
a chance?

you say it cant happen here!
open your eyes, your ears,
your hearts...
it's already begun!

what is the cost of freedom?

Find The Cost Of Freedom

Daylight again, following me to bed
I think about a hundred years ago, how my fathers bled
I think I see a valley, covered with bones in blue
All the brave soldiers that cannot get older been askin' after
you
Hear the past a callin', from Ar- -megeddon's side
When everyone's talkin' and noone is listenin', how can we
decide?
(Do we) find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground
Mother earth will swallow you, lay your body down
Find the cost of freedom, buried in the ground
Mother earth will swallow you, lay your body down
(Find the cost of freedom buried in the ground)

To Pay The Cost

shall thy heart then remain infusable?

while spiders count bodies

in spun glistening webs,
on nuclear mornings in astral glory...
as the rogue butterfly fellates,
the flower bloomed out of season...
without need for recitation!
nebulous vultures march in severed cadence,
wearing boots sewn of human flesh...
leaving tiny fractures in the soul of god,
be it history or destiny!

you cry for wars in dread of silence,
justice hangs from sterile trees.
the hungry child's eyes blacken the moon,
gravity devours temporary sanity.
the hammered flute burns tainted lips,
leaving crows to take the spoils.
the lost blown by mongrel winds,
the faceless fill the dark....
the faceless fill the dark!

oh god, let this not be!
take this cup from the table.
blow not your brassy trumpets,
roll back the furious cannons.
i curse this night that never ends...
take these bones strewn by shackled mouths,
build nests for disembodied spirits...
and bury the tears of orris and mold,
in the blackened moss womb of desire.

touch me! i do not quiver!
i wear neither mask nor cloak of guile.
i plow deep and with abandon,
i drink till the cup is spillt!
i dare defy, i dare proclaim,
and identify the heart...
if you must sacrifice to liberate,
what is shall not be lost...
i dare to pay the cost...

do you dare to pay the cost?
