Medicated Head

It seems more than not,
That something blown out of the box...
Starts over nothing.
To leave one's peace disrupted.
And people deciding that conflicts fit,
With an advantage that provides benefits.

Can a life be lived enjoyed,
With a medicated head that's ripped.
Can a life be lived enjoyed,
Pretending none of this exists.
Can a life be lived enjoyed,
Drifting high and strickly blissed...
With,
A medicated head instead.
And...
Playing possum as if dead.

Can a life be lived enjoyed,
With a medicated head instead.
Can one's life be lived enjoyed...
Playing possum as if one's dead.

Ripped and blissed...
Can a medicated head stay fed.
To be,
Ripped and blissed...
Will a medicated head wish no repair.

It seems more than not,
That something blown out of the box...
Starts over nothing.
To leave one's peace disrupted.
And people deciding that conflicts fit,
With an advantage that provides benefits.

Can a life be lived enjoyed,
With a medicated head that's ripped.
Can a life be lived enjoyed,
Pretending none of this exists.
To be,
Ripped and blissed...
Will a medicated head really care.
To be,
Ripped up and blissed...
Will a medicated head prefer to stay there.

Ripped up and blissed!
To be...
Ripped and blissed!

Cuddly Toy

La la la la ...
Youre not only cuddly toy that was ever enjoyed by any boy
Youre not the only choo-choo train that was left out in the rain
The day after santa came
Youre not the only cherry delight that was left out in the night
And gave up without a fight
Yourre not the only cuddly toy that was ever enjoyed by any boy
Youre not the kind of girl to tell your mother
The kind of company you keep
I never told you not to love no other
You must of dreamed it in your sleep
Youre not only cuddly toy that was ever enjoyed by any boy
Youre not the only choo-choo train that was left out in the rain
The day after santa came
Youre not the only cherry delight that was left out in the night
And gave up without a fight

Slop They Dropped

Move from a tainting of a game maintained,
To have people painted to sustain a gain.
With a mopping up slop that's enjoyed alot.
But the cleaning of it up,
Will be theirs nonstop.

To mop up slop that's enjoyed alot.
But the cleaning of it up,
Will be theirs nonstop.

Move from a tainting of a game maintained,
To have people painted to sustain a gain.
With a mopping up slop that's enjoyed alot.
But the cleaning of it up,
Will be theirs nonstop.

Sticky fingerprints all over the place.
With a hoping that in time they will be erased.
And unhappiness appearing on faces now chased.
Those who mopped up slop they enjoyed alot.
But the cleaning of it up,
Is now theirs nonstop.

Those who mopped up slop they enjoyed alot.
But the cleaning of it up,
Is now theirs nonstop.

Those who mopped up slop they enjoyed alot.
But the cleaning of it up,
Is now theirs nonstop.

Sticky fingerprints all over the place.
With a hoping that in time they will be erased.
But the cleaning of it up,
Is now theirs nonstop.

It's too late to move from a tainting game,
To have people painted to sustain a gain.
'Cause the cleaning of it up,
Is now theirs nonstop.

It's too late to move from a tainting game
To have people painted to sustain a gain.
'Cause the cleaning of it up,
Is now theirs nonstop.

Tainting people's names to sustain a gain,
Has other people mopping up the slop they dropped.
Tainting people's names to sustain a gain,
Has other people mopping up the slop they dropped.

Thinking I Was There to be The Only One!

She enjoyed her men packed.
He enjoyed his women stacked...
And full of chested love,
Kept bared

But they were not demonstrative.
And no one ever strayed...
To betray what they had together.
Who gave what and why is the question.
And who learned what lesson from this?

'You all are being too delusional'.

She enjoyed her men packed.
He enjoyed his women stacked...
And full of chested love,
Kept bared.

These are new visions on the horizon,
Of my sunset?
And I'm a one on one kind!
With prerequisites.
Sitting on a desk somewhere,
Collecting dust.
And I'm thinking her kiss is for us.
When she has him and me on her mind...
For lust!
At the same time?

Adam: A Sacred Drama. Act 2.

SCENE I. -- CHORUS OF ANGELS Singing.

Now let us garlands weave
Of all the fairest flowers,
Now at this early dawn,
For new-made man, and his companion dear;
Let all with festive joy,
And with melodious song,
Of the great Architect
Applaud this noblest work,
And speak the joyous sound,
Man is the wonder both of Earth and Heaven.

FIRST Angel.

Your warbling now suspend,
You pure angelic progeny of God,
Behold the labour emulous of Heaven!
Behold the woody scene,
Decked with a thousand flowers of grace divine;
Here man resides, here ought he to enjoy
In his fair mate eternity of bliss.

SECOND Angel.

How exquisitely sweet
This rich display of flowers,
This airy wild of fragrance,
So lovely to the eye,
And to the sense so sweet.

THIRD Angel.

O the sublime Creator,
How marvellous his works, and more his power!
Such is the sacred flame
Of his celestial love,
Not able to confine it in himself,
He breathed, as fruitful sparks
From his creative breast,
The Angels, Heaven, Man, Woman, and the World.

FOURTH Angel.

Yes, mighty Lord! yes, hallowed love divine!
Who, ever in thyself completely blest,
Unconscious of a want,
Who from thyself alone, and at thy will,
Bright with beignant flames,
Without the aid of matter or of form,

CRYSTAL GLOW

Madhur Veena Comment: Who is she? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ....You write good!

Margaret Alice Comment: Beautiful, it stikes as heartfelt words and touches the heart, beautiful sentiments, sorry, I repeat myself, but I am delighted. Your poem is like the trinkets I collect to adorn my personal space, pure joy to read, wonderful! Only a beautiful mind can harbour such sentiments, you have a beautiful mind. I am glad you have found someone that inspires you to such heights and that you share it with us, you make the world a mroe wonderful place.

Margaret Alice Comment: Within the context set by the previous poem, “Cosmic Probe”, the description of a lover’s adoration for his beloved becomes a universal ode sung to the abstract values of love, joy and hope personified by light, colours, fragrance and beauty, qualities the poet assigns to his beloved, thus elevating her to the status of an uplifting force because she brings all these qualities to his attention. The poet recognises that these personified values brings him fulfilment and chose the image of a love relationship to illustrate how this comes about; thus a love poem becomes the vehicle to convey spiritual epiphany.

FRAGRANT JASMINE

Margaret Alice Comment: Your words seem to be directed to a divine entity, you seem to be addressing your adoration to a divinity, and it is wonderful to read of such sublime sentiments kindled in a human soul. Mankind is always lifted up by their vision and awareness of divinity, thank you for such pure, clear diction and sharing your awareness of the sublime with us, you have uplifted me so much by this vision you have created!

Margaret Alice Comment: The poet’s words seem to be directed to a divine entity, express adoration to a divinity who is the personification of wonderful qualities which awakens a sense of the sublime in the human soul. An uplifting vision and awareness of uplifting qualities of innocence represented by a beautiful person.

I WENT THERE TO BID HER ADIEU

Kente Lucy Comment: wow great writing, what a way to bid farewell

Margaret Alice Comment: Sensory experience is elevated by its symbolical meaning, your description of the scene shows two souls becoming one and your awareness of the importance of tempory experience as a symbol of the eternal duration of love and companionship - were temporary experience only valid for one moment in time, it would be a sad world, but once it is seen as a symbol of eternal things, it becomes enchanting.

I’M INCOMPLETE WITHOUT YOU

Margaret Alice Comment: You elevate the humnan experience of longing for love to a striving for sublimity in uniting with a beloved person, and this poem is stirring, your style of writing is effective, everything flows together perfectly.

Margaret Alice Comment:

'To a resplendent glow of celestial flow
And two split halves unite never to part.'

Reading your fluent poems is a delight, I have to tear myself away and return to the life of a drudge, but what a treasure trove of jewels you made for the weary soul who needs to contemplate higher ideals from time to time!

IN CELESTIAL WINGS

Margaret Alice Comment: When you describe how you are strengthened by your loved one, it is clear that your inner flame is so strong that you need not fear growing old, your spirit seems to become stronger, you manage to convey this impression by your striking poetry. It is a privilege to read your work.

Obed Dela Cruz Comment: wow.... i remembered will shakespeare.... nice poem!

Margaret Alice Comment: The poet has transcended the barriers of time and space by becoming an image of his beloved and being able to find peace in the joy he confers to his beloved.

'You transcend my limits, transcend my soul, I forget my distress in your thoughts And discover my peace in your joy, For, I’m mere image of you, my beloved.'

Margaret Alice Comment: You are my peace and solace, I know, I am, yours too; A mere flash of your thoughts Enlivens my tired soul And fills me with light, peace and solace, A giant in new world, I become, I rise to divine heights in celestial wings. How I desire to reciprocate To fill you with light and inner strength raise you to divine heights; I must cross over nd hold you in arms, light up your soul, Fill you with strength from my inner core, Wipe away your tears burst out in pure joy How I yearn to instill hope and confidence in you we never part And we shall wait, till time comes right. the flame in my soul always seeks you, you transcend my limits, transcend my soul, I forget my distress in your thoughts And discover my peace in your joy, For, I’m mere image of you, my beloved.

0023 Thanksgiving

‘Thanks for yesterday evening –
I really enjoyed myself…’

What a profound statement, is
that hackneyed phrase!

‘Just an impromptu dinner party’,
they invited.

A modest house that shines
with their mutual and family love –
his craftsmanship in every detail,
her sense of beauty at every point,

like the vased flowers
which seemed to be growing
out of a spring of love, openly rejoicing
that they were giving their life to us
in the name of love; calling to us to be here, and now,
to enjoy every moment with them..

the perfectly served simple meal; and
the company, the guests:

the very recently bereaved
who was the unspoken focus
of all our attentive care;

the teacher, always smiling and alert,
so that we feel we know him well– yet
really know so little;

the man whose career
has always seemed a series
of ineffectual starts, who in one more disastrous trough
bought a laptop, found himself
as a children’s writer; now
there’s just no stopping him;

and the others; and over all,
a light, a warmth, a steady conversation
which never mentioned love,
yet was rich with it
and life, a sheer delight;

so that I enjoyed the self in myself,
knew myself more in that; so

thanks for yesterday evening;
I really enjoyed myself.

Enjoy and Get it On

Oh I'm makin' my way back home
Least that's what I told her on the phone
Been a while since I made her smile
And I know she gonna dig my style
Could you enjoy baby
Really enjoy gettin' it on

Could I get some pie ala mode
When I come in off the road
Do she still have her fightin' gear
Just one look is gonna make it clear
If she would enjoy baby
Really enjoyed gettin' it on

How does it feel holdin' me again
She's holdin' on like it gonna never end
Well I'm home thinkin' I should stay
While I'm here just let me hear you say
Say you enjoyed baby
Really enjoyed gettin' it on

Solitude

Tim he was a good friend
Yea was a brother of mine
We were imaginary comic book superheroes
Kids wasting time
We were prisoners of our youth
We were growing up strong
til the day he was taken away
For something he did wrong
Tim came round just the other day
And boy he had some stories to tell
His mama kept him locked up in a rehab
Although the doctors said he was well
He said yeah I been through the anger
And the hatred towards my mom
And I put all that behind me
Just tell me what was it like to go to your prom
He said thank you mom for fixing
My clouded broken mind
But excuse me if I seem a little rude
While I was missing my childhood, my brother and my prime
You enjoyed the convenience of my solitude
Well growing up these days just aint easy
And the kids theyre doing the best that they can
So mama you better think twice
Before you lock your kid up and throw away the key
cause soon your little boy is gonna be a man
He said thank you mom for fixing
My clouded broken mind
But excuse me if I seem a little rude
While I was missing my childhood, my brother and my prime
You enjoyed the convenience of my solitude
Tim left town yesterday
He left me with these words
He said yeah I know this lifes got a lot to give
But my childhood is gone
And Im not afraid of dying
Im gonna grab the world by the horns and learn how to live
He said thank you mom for fixing
My clouded broken mind
But excuse me if I seem a little rude
While I was missing my childhood, my brother and my prime
You enjoyed the convenience of my solitude

The Full Catasrophe

Ive ridden down the sunset
Drank expensive wine
Ive been married two dozen times
Raised ten children on a workmans pay
And im glad to say ive enjoyed every day
Of the full catastrophe of life
Ive sat in courtrooms
Had people call me names
Ive been to london town
On a supersonic plane
I was lovin? your wife
While you were lovin? mine
And im glad to say ive enjoyed every day
Of the full catastrophe of life
Ive opened my belt to trouble everyday
Aint looking for a fight
But you know I wont run away
From the full catastrophe of life
Ive seen the goodness
Ive known the baddest around
I was tattooed when it first came out
I shook the hand that showed moses the way
And im glad to say ive enjoyed every day
Of the full catastrophe of life

Never Ask Twice Aka Airplane

Please observe my continental alligator skin line shoulder bag
Ive covered it in stickers from far and wide
And stuffed it full of suits and matching ties
Ive travelled on the seas and Ive travelled on the land
And theres not a single person I cant understand
Ive forgotten the languages and wave my cash
Ive enjoyed every minute of it with a splash
I wear a panama on my brilcremed hair
I think I carry it with a certain flair
When travelling abroad I know the score
With the voice of authority from the first a-world war
I went all through to congo on a magic pleasure knock
Staving off disease with hallucinogenic drugs
With a mind-bending root from a local native source
Made my mind and my body have a premature divorce
I felt like I was sliding from a massive height
It seemed like it was morning in the middle of the night
My eyes were open, though theres nothing much to see
A swirling mist of images
The seas are my friend and the skies my home
When clinging to the arm-rests, I travel alone
Im always ready to give advice
Travelling companions never ask twice
Ive travelled on the seas and Ive travelled on the land
And theres not a single person I cant understand
Ive forgotten the languages and wave my cash
Ive enjoyed every minute of it with a splash
Ive travelled on the seas and Ive travelled on the land
And theres not a single person I cant understand
Ive forgotten the languages and wave my cash

The Island poem.

The Island was there surrounded by sea,

Where the family stayed, so much to see;

The birds flying in the sky, and on the water too,

Yes! They were enjoying their holiday, it's true.

The Island stretched for many a mile, they could see,

With plenty of shells, and sand, the sunsets so pretty;

The Coconut palms, and date palms, to walk in the cool,

And the children enjoyed it all, for there was no school.

The husband enjoyed to go fishing each day,

The children loved to run on the sand and play;

The wife, she enjoyed it too, to rest under the tree,

Then she called them all at night, it is time for tea.

The Island holiday soon came to an end,

The children said, our holiday we can pretend;

That we are still on our lovely holiday retreat,

And remember the birds, and the birds so sweet.

Have you ever been to an Island, for a holiday?

Maybe you travelled far, to Queensland, is what you'd say;

Or was it somewhere in the Islands of the south see?

You'll know it was a holiday to feel so very free.

Time To Turn Off The Light

Now it's time to turn off the light
Now it's time to - say goodbye
Planet colors is coming back
Once again - someday
Time was flying by, on silent wings
Now we have to say goodnight
Time was flying by, we gave our best
Now we're turning off the light
The love you gave - is our strength
We're now at the end - and soon we'll come back again
Time was flying by, the lights go off
The curtain has to fall again
Time was flying by, you gave us joy
We say goodbye and wave our hands
Now it's time to turn off the light
Now it's time to - say goodbye
Planet colors is coming back
Once again - someday
Hope you enjoyed the show
Now it's time to go
We thank you for a party we will never forget
Now it's time to turn off the light
Planet colors, say goodbye, say goodbye
Time to turn off the light
For saying good night
We thank you for coming
Time to turn off the light
For saying good night
We hope you enjoyed the show
Hope you enjoyed the show
Now it's time to go
We thank you for a party we will never forget
Now it's time to turn off the light
Planet colors, say goodbye, say goodbye
Being with you has been an important part of my life
To see your smiling faces ,to feel your energy
Knowing you've come a long way to be a part of the show
We will always come back, whenever you need us
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you

Down Down Down The Drain They Go

A flavoring of their own taste of envy,
Has brought them unable to stomach...
What was encouraged to flourish.

The affect of it has made them sick.
Although the implementation of it,
Came easy for them to inflict.

Using slander as an ingredient to base...
A defamation of character,
To pepper gossip heated to deface.
And not letting a waste of time go by,
To bake personalities...
And watch some fry.

Finding like minds just as demented.
And overtime their own crimes...
Began to boil over.
And lamenting it...
They could not stop,
Or it prevent.
These deeds of theirs they tried to drop!
But...
Down down down the drain they go.
Everyone around them enjoyed the show.
They used slickness in wicked ways.
No one wanted this stench to stay!

And down down down the drain they go.
Everyone around them enjoyed the show.
They used slickness in wicked ways.
No one wanted this stench to stay!

And the flushing of them came rather quick.
As a mending began to heal...
The wounds once salted,
Abused and picked!

A flavoring of their own taste of envy,
Has brought them unable to stomach...
What was encouraged to flourish.

And this gutter sludge suitable for the sewer...
Gets kicked to the curb,
And drifts!

And down down down the drain they go.
Everyone around them enjoyed the show.
They used slickness in wicked ways.
And this gutter sludge gets a lift,

The Flower And The Leaf, Or the Lady In The Arbour. A Vision

Now turning from the wintry signs, the sun
His course exalted through the Ram had run,
And whirling up the skies, his chariot drove
Through Taurus, and the lightsome realms of love;
Where Venus from her orb descends in showers,
To glad the ground, and paint the fields with flowers:
When first the tender blades of grass appear,
And buds, that yet the blast of Eurus fear,
Stand at the door of life, and doubt to clothe the year;
Till gentle heat, and soft repeated rains,
Make the green blood to dance within their veins;
Then, at their call emboldened, out they come,
And swell the gems, and burst the narrow room;
Broader and broader yet, their blooms display,
Salute the welcome sun, and entertain the day.
Then from their breathing souls the sweets repair
To scent the skies, and purge the unwholesome air:
Joy spreads the heart, and, with a general song,
Spring issues out, and leads the jolly months along.
In that sweet season, as in bed I lay,
And sought in sleep to pass the night away,
I turned my weary side, but still in vain,
Though full of youthful health, and void of pain:
Cares I had none, to keep me from my rest,
For love had never entered in my breast;
I wanted nothing Fortune could supply,
Nor did she slumber till that hour deny.
I wondered then, but after found it true,
Much joy had dried away the balmy dew:
Seas would be pools, without the brushing air
To curl the waves; and sure some little care
Should weary nature so, to make her want repair.
When Chanticleer the second watch had sung,
Scorning the scorner sleep, from bed I sprung;
And dressing, by the moon, in loose array,
Passed out in open air, preventing day,
And sought a goodly grove, as fancy led my way.
Straight as a line in beauteous order stood
Of oaks unshorn a venerable wood;
Fresh was the grass beneath, and every tree,
At distance planted in a due degree,
Their branching arms in air with equal space
Stretched to their neighbours with a long embrace;
And the new leaves on every bough were seen,
Some ruddy coloured, some of lighter green.
The painted birds, companions of the spring,
Hopping from spray to spray, were heard to sing.
Both eyes and ears received a like delight,
Enchanting music, and a charming sight.
On Philomel I fixed my whole desire,

The Cremona Violin

Part First

Frau Concert-Meister Altgelt shut the door.
A storm was rising, heavy gusts of wind
Swirled through the trees, and scattered leaves before
Her on the clean, flagged path. The sky behind
The distant town was black, and sharp defined
Against it shone the lines of roofs and towers,
Superimposed and flat like cardboard flowers.

A pasted city on a purple ground,
Picked out with luminous paint, it seemed. The cloud
Split on an edge of lightning, and a sound
Of rivers full and rushing boomed through bowed,
Tossed, hissing branches. Thunder rumbled loud
Beyond the town fast swallowing into gloom.
Frau Altgelt closed the windows of each room.

She bustled round to shake by constant moving
The strange, weird atmosphere. She stirred the fire,
She twitched the supper-cloth as though improving
Its careful setting, then her own attire
Came in for notice, tiptoeing higher and higher
She peered into the wall-glass, now adjusting
A straying lock, or else a ribbon thrusting

This way or that to suit her. At last sitting,
Or rather plumping down upon a chair,
She took her work, the stocking she was knitting,
And watched the rain upon the window glare
In white, bright drops. Through the black glass a flare
Of lightning squirmed about her needles. 'Oh!'
She cried. 'What can be keeping Theodore so!'

A roll of thunder set the casements clapping.
Frau Altgelt flung her work aside and ran,
Pulled open the house door, with kerchief flapping
She stood and gazed along the street. A man
Flung back the garden-gate and nearly ran
Her down as she stood in the door. 'Why, Dear,
What in the name of patience brings you here?

Quick, Lotta, shut the door, my violin
I fear is wetted. Now, Dear, bring a light.
This clasp is very much too worn and thin.
I'll take the other fiddle out to-night
If it still rains. Tut! Tut! my child, you're quite
Clumsy. Here, help me, hold the case while I -
Give me the candle. No, the inside's dry.

Afraid To Live And Afraid Of Dying

(Porter Wagoner)
They say most anything you eat could hurt your health
Be careful what you drink, don't harm yourself
And pollution in the air might make you sick
Makes you afraid to live, afraid that you might die too quick
Do the men that quote this danger really know
Life is gift to be enjoyed and not to worry so
The biggest danger sign that we should know
Make sure we're right with God, as through this world we go
We're afraid to live 'cause we're afraid of dyin'
And afraid to love the one we love, afraid they might be lyin'
We can't enjoy life when they say each thing might bring an early grave
We're afraid to live 'cause we're afraid of dyin'
Do the men that quote this danger really know?
Life is gift to be enjoyed, why worry so?
The biggest danger sign that we should know
Make sure we're right with God, as through this world we go
Make sure we're right with God, as through this world we go

VII. Pompilia

I am just seventeen years and five months old,
And, if I lived one day more, three full weeks;
'T is writ so in the church's register,
Lorenzo in Lucina, all my names
At length, so many names for one poor child,
—Francesca Camilla Vittoria Angela
Pompilia Comparini,—laughable!
Also 't is writ that I was married there
Four years ago: and they will add, I hope,
When they insert my death, a word or two,—
Omitting all about the mode of death,—
This, in its place, this which one cares to know,
That I had been a mother of a son
