I feel it is time that I also pay tribute to my four writers, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

I Will Also Pay Tribute To My Friends

I will also pay tribute to my friends
After all they have done for me
In each of the journey’s of my life
That I have walked
Some of the journey’s have been tough
Others have been easy for me
But without my friends all the journey’s
Would never have ended
So what keeps me here now?
My friends that surround me
In this place
My friends have nurtured me and comforted me
In good times and bad times

I won't say that the papers misquote me, but I sometimes wonder where Christianity would be today if some of those reporters had been Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

All I hate about linin track
These ol boys are gonna break my back
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Down in the holler below the fleld
Angels working on the chariot wheel
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Mary and the babe was a sittin in the shade
Thinking on the money that I aint made
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Moses stood on the red sea shore
Gotta batten down the waves with a 2 by 4
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Now if I could I surely would
Stand on the rock where moses stood
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Matthew, mark, luke and john
All them disciples dead and gone
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track
Mo boys, is you right
Done got it right
All I hate about lining track
These ol boys about to break my back
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
Mo boys, cant you line em (track a lack)
See eloise gonna line em track

I also pay tribute to my flesh

I do not keep a snob spirit
A closed one not open to the realities
Of my duality: body and soul
Flesh and spirit, to keep myself whole
To keep the horses satisfied and make
This chariot travel smoothly towards
The path I have chosen towards the path
Of my true destination
The black horse and the white horse
They must too live in harmony
The black horse of my nights
The white horse of my days
And this chariot where I ride

I am still the driver in control
I drive where I want to go
I stop when I want to stop
These horses must see me as their master
And this chariot where I ride Is nothing
But just a useful thing.

Today, I pay tribute to my flesh
And my spirit must also understand
Love after all hinges on desires
And without this body, how can the spirit feel?
And where can guilt be, if love knows
That it is always greater and can always win.

I Feel So Lonely Now That She's Gone

I feel so lonely now that she's gone
Does she feel the same way?
I don't really think she does.
Maybe she does but she's trying to hide it
Or she doesn't want to admit it
Will time be the true teller
Or will time draw us further apart
A feel so lonely now that she's gone
It's like a part of me is no longer with me
And I cannot function without that part
But things will get better over time
And I won't feel so lonely anymore

There’s a time that the sun sets

There’s a time
that the sun sets
and it’s also
how life goes.

My dad read the last time
the poem that let the hairs
on my arms raise
of a horse
with a rider without a head
like only he can

and when I was naughty
the man with the hat and jacket came
and never again
and later I find it hanging
in his wardrobe.

Red-brown lumps fall on a wooden chest
and what does a toddler know
of final farewell,

except that the sun sets
over the hillock
on the other side of the place
where he lies.

The Time That Slips On My Hands

the time that slips on my hands
splits through my fingers

so fast like a dream that cuts
itself before dawn
when i wake up sweating
and feel the need of a
glass of cold water

slowly the sands of time fall
on my feet

the winds of change blow it
and then
i feel the emptiness of its
departure

the heart is left wondering
what is it that is left undone

the mind has answers but as usual
it fails to consider the
reasoning ability of feelings

you look at fate in the eye
feeling so guilty and wasted

The Time That God Walks

why does deliverance feel like
the old woman's jagged fingernails
digging in the dirt?
while poetry screams from
weeping willows and dead spiders...
light finds it way through crack and crevice,
dancing in the little boy's palm!
there is a song that dwells
in things that seem most still.
graveyards come alive in the dead of night.
and streetlights write history
on streets deserted and quiet.
while lamps shine in closed windows
as a testament to memory.
this is the time that god walks,
her long hair grey with suffering.
and stopping on the corner she lights a smoke,
while stray cats rub against her bony legs.
'if only they had drank the cup of suffering,
they would have known! '
she puts out her smoke,
and starts sweeping away bodies!

It Is Time That Will Be Judge

theme unpatriotic
seems over used
in some countries

in free New Zealand
people still demand
freedom of speech

though not in pubs
where alcohol tempers
can swiftly end such

debates religion politics
get in trouble hot heads
it is time that will be judge

From the time that every day had begun (Strambotto Toscano)

From the time that every day had begun
life has got a struggle, an ageless kind of plea,
and from the awakening of the white hot sun,
even creatures in the unbounded sea
was threatened as they were having some fun
yet from all of these things our true love stands free
as it sparkles like a star during the darkest night,
forever shines bright with its own kind of light.

Next Time That we Meet

The next time that we meet
We'll be strangers
Even though we've known
Each other a long long time
For next time that we meet
You'll be another's
Being held by someone else's arms
For the person that I knew
We'll be gone forever
To only be a memory
To keep this cold and lonely heat beating
For without you I can never be free
Free to love another
Because you were the greatest thing for me

Between the time that the day dies

Between the time that the day dies
and the sun hangs precious
like a ruby in the sky
and the time that the day breaks
and the sun is fresh and new
like a orange
in the morning dawn,
man and woman
is entranced with the night
which gives flight
to their passions to be one
and although they are
destined to die at a time
the bliss of life
and the intimacy of loving
and the wonders of the world
is their pleasures to share.

Grief And Delight: The Life

Our life is so pale
It'll never be bright
It's full of grief and delight
It's like a primrose-
With full of morose,
That blooms at spring.
It's like a moth that flies at night
Fearful till day bright.

There is lots of jolly;
But it vanishes when lonely
And also there is folly.
Our mind is not so holly
It's full of ill temptation.
We don't feel joy all time
There is also sorrow in our life.
So, grief and delight: The life

In The Time That It Takes To Park A Cream Coloured Car

On a autumn day in the time
that it takes to park a cream coloured car
a devastating ball of fire, of flame
detonates shattering
in Church Street, Pretoria
on the twentieth of May nineteen eighty three

causing shrapnel to fly down in the street
splintering, scattering
flying, piercing glass
from all the buildings facing the street
in a deadly shimmering rain

murdering, maiming blowing to bits
the innocent civilian men, women and children
passing by in the street

for a political cause
giving a loud hell of a bang
of a applause
as if the whole of humanity
has gone insane
leaving blood, guts, body parts
and the survivors in terrible pain.

Love Sonnet 161 The Pulse Of Time That Quickens In Our Veins

The pulse of Time that quickens in our veins,
Bespeaks of nearness, our lips now attained,
More so, it augurs love's desire that reigns,
An apt prelude to kiss forthwith obtained;
As eyes would close, to perceive things the most,
When mind empties, to fully grasp all truths,
Your touch lingered, as all others I've lost,
To hold, for pain of emptiness it soothes;
In rapturous moments, our dreams collate,
And vow in faith, that's sealed to last till death,
But why, that flesh would really so dictate,
That soon, bouquet of love becomes a wreath;
………Pity the love, or else, the lovers be,
………Alas, this so includes poor you and me.

Elizabeth Barrett Browning

Sonnet 32 - The first time that the sun rose on thine oath

XXXII

The first time that the sun rose on thine oath
To love me, I looked forward to the moon
To slacken all those bonds which seemed too soon
And quickly tied to make a lasting troth.
Quick-loving hearts, I thought, may quickly loathe;
And, looking on myself, I seemed not one
For such man's love!—more like an out-of-tune
Worn viol, a good singer would be wroth
To spoil his song with, and which, snatched in haste,
Is laid down at the first ill-sounding note.
I did not wrong myself so, but I placed
A wrong on thee. For perfect strains may float
'Neath master-hands, from instruments defaced,—
And great souls, at one stroke, may do and doat.

At the time that my two cars were stolen

At the time that my two cars were stolen
an older black gentleman gave me a lift

and day after day for two months
I travelled with him for free

and as far as we were travelling
he told about the greatness of God

and we sometimes talked about the Bible
and he told me about the things

that he was doing in his free time
at prisons and among poor people

and every morning at that contracted position
he prayed for everybody there and for me

and at times he encouraged me
and when the time came for me to leave I knew that:

everybody is His missionary,
His messenger and His prophet

that you measure a man, rather on his deeds
than on mere words.

[This poem is written to my friend Geoffrey Gollolo.]

The Next Time That One Comes

There is no satisfaction to one that comes.
To someone who knows another,
Who does something dumb.
When that one came to solicit advice.
Only to ignore it...
To add more weight on the shoulders,
Of the one giving sound advice that is shunned.

And the next time that one comes,
With a decision to make.
The best thing to do...
Is to beat them over the head with a bat!
They will never come back,
To ask for anything else again!
EVER!

However...
One who does take such action,
Should be prepared to endure suffering...
The consequences.
Or...
One could say,
Stress pressured one to lose one's mind.
Do some prison time.
Write a book and appear on Oprah!
Entitle the book, 'If Only I Had An Interest In Gardening'

Eternal Time, That Wastest Without Waste

Eternal Time, that wastest without waste,
That art and art not, diest, and livest still;
Most slow of all, and yet of greatest haste;
Both ill and good, and neither good nor ill:
How can I justly praise thee, or dispraise?
Dark are thy nights, but bright and clear thy days.

Both free and scarce, thou giv'st and tak'st again;
Thy womb that all doth breed, is tomb to all;
What so by thee hath life, by thee is slain;
From thee do all things rise, by thee they fall:
Constant, inconstant, moving, standing still;
Was, Is, Shall be, do thee both breed and kill.

I lose thee, while I seek to find thee out;
The farther off, the more I follow thee;
The faster hold, the greater cause of doubt;
Was, Is, I know; but Shall, I cannot see.
All things by thee are measur'd; thou, by none:
All are in thee; thou, in thyself alone.

Feel For Your Love

(graham russell/billy sherwood/marty walsh)
Ive got money to burn
Ive got life on the avenue
Ive got nothing to learn
I just do what I want to do
Ive got places to go
Ive got lines on the telephone
Ive got nothing to show
For all this time that I spend alone
But if I wanted someone, someone to care
And if I needed someone,
Would you be there
I want to look into your eyes
(chorus)
And get a feel for your love
(where would I be)
Ive got a feel for your love
(where would I be)
Ive got a feel for your love
(where would I go)
I have something to give
I got a feeling that I never knew
I have a reason to live
And all I want is to be with you
If I gave you my heart
Would you take what I have for you
I have fallen so hard
And I will do what you want me to
And now Im wanting someone
Someone to share
And if you are that someone
Will you be there?
So when I look into your eyes
(chorus)
