I hadn't really noticed that I had a hearing problem. I just thought most people had given up on speaking clearly.

Really! Is That What You Want?

Maybe it is best,
I will never come to understand...
What pleases others.
And yet the same action done,
Will make some upset.

Sometimes one's intentions,
To project a comprehension...
With an empathy attached.
Will offend some who then prepare,
To defend themselves in a boxing match.

And there are times when one desires,
To have no contact at all with others.
As some may find this an attractive challenge,
No matter what disgusting thing is said...
From a mouth spewing indignities,
With a hope what is done sends them off to another!

'You have wishes to be tamed!
Don't you? '
Who knew you would meet your...domesticator.'

~Excuse me?
I am wanting you to buzz off.~

'Really!
Is that what you want?
Deep in the crevices of your mind?
Or...
Are you secretly wishing to redecorate my hive? '

No!
But IF I had a fly-swatter,
You would get the message!
Immediately.
Believe me.

'Oh.
I see.
So you are into spankings? '

Wishing That It Had Never Happened

The fine young make-believes have already started
Shooting in:
From the gated communities of Parkland they’ve
Drifted,
And young Italian girls take photographs of each other,
And I take photographs of them:
They are venal and cottage cheese-
They will go to college, or they’ll do as they please:
Like you, they might make love to me,
If they have to, but they will never fantasies over
These estuaries as I have had to:
How I’ve tried to compare you to the muses of
Baudelaire, the two strangers made sisters by his
Pervasive charges,
The sick muse and the venal muse: I didn’t remember
That before you used to play soccer together,
But who as really in charge;
And if you’d won the season for our white tributary,
What then would have stopped your taught calved
Sorority from kissing under the bleachers,
And then to pass out like carnal wildflowers;
If it’s not what happened, it is at least what used to happen
When my mind awakened from happenstance
And began to matriculate toward the better causes of
Missing graduation- wishing that it had never happened.

If Fire Learnt That It Had A Twin

If fire learnt that it had a twin,
would it weep or would it grin?
Would it rejoice that it had a friend?
Or would it's sibling become a fiend?

Would it burn with flames of hope?
Would it yearn for ways to cope?
Would it wish that life was for two?
If you were fire, what say you?

They'll Say That God Had Need Of Her..

They'll say that God had need of her
Before her time,
That angels sought her company

For beauty's sake
In mind or soul,
That stars will shine far brighter

In the night of all their dread
Now that she is dead at six years old,
And they must feel the cold

Of her departure all the more,
Like one whose ship has left the shore
For far off places,

They must have her face in mind
To keep as photograph,
In silver frame,

Until such time
That she and they
Are once again in arm's fond hold

And all the love returns
To cease the cold
And lonely days of aching grief.

That Which Had Been Different

Overnight...
That which had been different,
Is today alright.
With a jumping over in leaps and bounds,
What was found just yesterday...
To be safe and sound,
But now archaic.
Antiquated.
And has rusted with decay.

Just yesterday...
Those afraid to live,
Because they feared their names...
Would be dropped in hot gossip,
Seek today to be the main event!

Overnight that which had been different,
Is today alright.
In fact...
So many are over-excited with appetites to live,
They seem not able to be satisfied being mediocre.
A recognition they live to be the main event,
To breathe seek and reach accomplishments...
Has dawn on them as if they have begun to notice,
The Sun rising on the horizon for the first time.

The Spark That Bled

I accidentally touched my head
and noticed that it had been bleeding
for how long i did not know.
What was this, I thought, that struck me?
What kind of weapons have they got?
the softest bullet ever shot...
I stood up and I said yeah!!
I stood up and i said yeah
I stood up and i said Hey, Yeah!
From this moment on
blaring like a trumpet
comin from above us
and somewhere below
the confidence of knowing
decsending to relieve us
of the struggle to believe its so
I stood up and i said yeah
I spoke up and i said Hey
I stood up and i said hey yeah
And it seemed to cause a chain reaction
It had momentum it was gaining traction
it was all the rage it was all the fashion
the outreached hands had resigned themselves to
holding on to something that they never had
and thats too bad
'cause in reality there was no reaction
i accidentally touched my head
and saw that it was bleeding
for how long i did not know.

All We Have Is Now

As logic stands you couldn't meet a man
Who's from the future
But logic broke as he appeared he spoke
About the Future
"We're not gonna make it" He explained how
the end will come - you and me were never meant
to be part of the future -
All we have is now -
All we've ever had was now
All we have is now
All we'll ever have is now
I noticed that he had a watch and hat
That looked familiar
He was me - from a dimension torn free
Of the future
"We're not gonna make it" He explained how
the end will come - You and me were never meant
to be part of the future -
All we have is now -
All we've ever had was now
All we have is now
All we'll ever have is now -
All we have is now

Ms. Jackie Blue's

Ms. Jackie was limble
Ms. Jackie was quick
Ms. Jackie was strong
She thought she had life licked
Ms. Jackie was determined to never, ever quit
She seemed to struggled with life and what it reallly meant
Ms. Jackie would often try many of the get rich tricks
Ms. Jackie really believed that she. had found her nitch,
The nitch that was right,
A perfect fit,
to later find out that it wasn't quite legit
Ms. Jackie then lost mind and would often have fits
Relentlessly chanting of how she must not quit
Yet, Ms. Jackie still somehow embraced the counterfeits
Ms. Jackie claimed to be superior with supernatural whit
Adhereing to voices that one should forget
Sadly enough, even thou it is painful to admit,
That all the right people and her most close friends
Simply couldn't do nothing to help bring
Ms. Jackie's fire for life back once again
Ms. Jackie's Blue's
Never let it happen to you!

I Had To Die

(5/6/12)

I had to die inside so that I could live
I had to see so that I could give
I felt your strength enter my soul
I felt you - make me whole.

I felt the spirit soaring within
I felt my heart start to spin.
I was lost in this troubled world
And turned my back on family and friends
No more ears would I lend.

I expected them to get me out
of the hell that I created
And when they didn't I was devastated.
Why wouldn't they help me - I then asked
Then I remembered my heartless past.

My soul had became cold as ice
And my eyes as blind as can be
And I thought that I was free.
Then night came upon me like
Death upon a battle field
That was when I began to heal.

I saw all the harm that I had done
As I saw the rising sun
Opening my eyes to all the beauties
That GOD had given, and why
Life was so worth living.

Now I see as clear as day
That there is no other way
But to follow the steps of my lord
And my previous life I had to abort.
I asked for forgiveness from all that I had hurt
for my spirit had given new birth.

What He Gave to Us

I wanted to do something different today
I didn’t know what to do, or even what to say.

I had a feeling deep inside- that made me
Want to scream “ I’m alive”.

I looked around at all the beauties of the earth
And thought about all my worth.
That I was born with all five senses
That the lord had given to me.

The sense to Touch a delicate flower
The sense to Hear a bewitching hour
The sense to Smell what s in the air.
The sense to Taste the juices of a pear
The sense to See the beauty of a pearl

There is another sense that they don’t say
Such as Feelings- of love, to wipe tears away
Feelings cover all aspects of life
It can make things wrong or things right.

Feelings of passion and despair
Of compassion from one who cares
Bitterness, anger, hate and sorrow
Even those make life worth while.

There is so much that we must be grateful for
For GOD has opened all the doors.
He knew that we needed all these things
To make our lives complete.

But there was still something missing
What good was all these senses
If we didn’t have the main sense.

The sense to think and rationalize
All that he had given
That was the thing that would really
Make life worth living.

I Know Something About You

Hi stranger, a stranger to yourself

you always had, the ability, to succeed
to find a better, more meaningful, life for yourself.

You just let, the dark side, cloud your mind
tried to steal, yourself, become hard

and yet, your greatest opportunity, must always be
optimism, the belief, in a better tomorrow.

The chances taken, dreams aspired to
not a dread, of possible calamity, that may or may not occur

do you know, most people
spend, most of their lives, afraid of ill fortune

the disaster, that may, or may not happen
and amazingly, naturally, half of them, never eventuate.

And those that do, teach us,
universal lessons as wisdom, slowly drips,
dropp by irresistible drop, into our consciousness

through, the all knowing, awful, grace of God
when, we are ready, to open, to the ultimate benefit

of such, inevitable, life lessons, we perceive
that, we should be grateful, for what we have, and have achieved.

That, to receive each day, our daily bread
and to know, that it is enough, each day, its own evil

we must realize, that facing, each obstacle
in its own, appropriate time, and place, one by one

with faith, and belief, in God
we cannot, ever really, fail, we are carried.

Through, our worst troubles, fears, nightmares
when we fail, to muster, the strength, to stand upon

our own feet, ability, there is always
a light, and God willing, wanting, to show us, the way.

I Will Always Stay This Way In Love With You

(boy katindig)
I never lost the love that I had given you
With all the things that we have both been through
I never stayed in love before
As much as I have stayed in love with you
You never thought the feelings meant for you were true
cause every time were all alone youd wonder
If I really never changed
And if I really stayed in love with you
Love
It means just you and me to stay together
Even if theres nothing more
The best is there forever
Love
We have to stay this way in love forever
Even if you change your ways
Ill always stay this way cause i
I will always stay this way in love with you
I will always stay this way in love with you
I will always stay in love this way
Love
It means just you and me to stay together
Even if theres nothing more
The best is there forever
Love
We have to stay this way in love forever
Even if you change your ways
Ill always stay this way cause you
You never thought the feelings meant for you were true
cause every time were all alone youd wonder
If I really never changed
And if I really stayed in love with you
Love
It means just you and me to stay together
Even if theres nothing more
The best is there forever
Love
We have to stay this way in love forever
Even if you change your ways
Ill always stay this way cause i
I will always stay this way in love with you
I will always stay this way in love with you
I will always stay this way in love with you
I will always stay this way in love with you
I will always stay this way in love with you
I will always stay this way in love with you
I will always stay in love this way

On the way to Uniondale

One stormy Easter weekend
while I was driving on route sixty-two,
I found a beautiful girl
next to the road
just twenty kilometres from Uniondale
at the Barandas turn off,
the wind was swishing through her dark hair
and I heard it cry over the Kammanassie Mountain
and her thumb was out asking for a lift.

I brought the car to a standstill
and next to the road red allows were flowering
and she was dressed in a navy blue jacket,
and dark green pants
and I was worried that she was getting cold
and in the inside light of the BMW
she looked whitely pale
and smiled brilliantly
when we drove away
and when I asked where she was going
and she just answered
that she was coming along
which was kind of strange.

I still wanted to ask
what a lovely girl was doing alone
next to the road
when I smelled the apple blossoms
of her perfume
and she suddenly laughed shrilly
and the car door next to her
opened and closed and she was gone
and immediately I stopped the car
as I was sure that the woman
had jumped out.

Outside the car the road was empty
and while I walked up and down
without finding a sign of her
a police patrol car came along
and parked behind my car

and the constables were convinced
that I had given a lift to a ghost
and they called her Marie Charlotte Roux
and said that during Easter weekends
she wanders along that road
and to them my narrative
was an old well-known story.

[Reference: Accident on R62 where Marie Charlotte Roux passed away on the back seat of a Volkswagen Beetle, when her fiancé GM Pretorius lost control on 12 April 1968 in stormy weather. A year later he married and it is said that she started appearing from that time, but stopped after he was killed in a car accident in 1984, but who really knows? Maybe she will appear again.]

The Utter Importance Of Eating Cheetos

One day I just woke up
Just knew things were different, as I drank my cup
Of water, it was sweet, it tasted different
I really felt, that something had been sent
My way
Some joy, some kind of peace, no it wasn't those
It wasn't my clothes
It was... sweeter... it was, freedom, yes freedom I say

Today, that day, would include possibly one of the most important
Moments of my entire life
Although my day was rife
With the mundane and the normal, my freedom was heaven-sent
So I did something I didn't think I could ever do
I did something that I never knew
Could ever be so important, so sweet... so free

I opened up the pantry
I found exactly was I was looking for
I poured myself a plate of cheetos... and then some more
But I didn't realize the importance of what was about to happen
The kind of occurrence where you're amazed and just say amen
I reached over to eat a cheeto
But then I thought you know....
I don't want my hands to get dirty
Hmmmm well let's see
I've seen people do a lot of things, like use a bag
Put them in a cup, but then I thought of something totally unique
This idea definitely did pique
My interest and it would get me out of my snag
I decided I would do something I thought I'd never do
Something really weird too
I grabbed a spoon and used that to eat each cheeto
But who could ever know
The utterly significant beauty of this one moment

To me I had for once, done something that made me, me
I did something unique, because I wanted to... finally
I was starting to feel like I had an identity
I had hated myself for so long, anything that made me, me
I refused to see
It was repulsive because it was... it was..., well it was me

But today with sweetness and freedom
I ate my cheetos and it was bomb!
I ate them with a spoon, and now that's part of my identity
I felt like I was me, I'm... I'm me

But I felt one other thing that I also did not expect
In this very deep moment, there was some other feeling I did detect
As I used my spoon and looked behind me
Just to see
If anyone else could see me
I had this very strange feeling besides my freedom and sweetness

I wonder if I could describe it for you hmmmmm
I guess I felt kinda like... I felt kinda like, O that's it!

I felt like a dork

Things happen is life that we must always be ready for!

You know how are parents are always trying to say that there just preparing us for the real world, well be thankful things happen they’ve been through it if not everything. Something’s in life you must prepare for and see it in a new way for me, I see life as a book life like a book and not just an ordinary one it’s one of those that you must take your time reading. Otherwise you’ll miss something really important there’s always a detail or something to learn, but as you turn the page in your mind you say oh or yeah like your understanding or likeness. Unfortunately some people never get to there story weather it is by accident or purpose, and as friends and family or just associates we all have to be ready for life. Sometimes life can end in a heartbeat or prolonged suffering I say to you never underestimate the person next to you, cause they could be going through a lot more than yourself. Sometimes the smartest guys is only that way because he escapes to a library to get away from his parents, arguing or complain on the things that he or she has no control over which may also apply to the most athletic person. Some of have friends whom we may entrust to hold or secrets and share our pain, others do not I Allen gill jr ask that we as students of Glenville high school don’t just look at him or her but as brother and sister. Let go of this pain and hate for they blind you from the happiness you could have in life. I know sometimes we want to yell and scream but we need to keep converting that energy to something more useful, but sometimes we have to be ready cause here comes that curve ball from life whereas we just explode because people are dumping there problems on us. We try so hard to help them that we forget about ourselves so what im trying to say is be ready for life, just prepare things will happen no ones life is prefect not even for celebrities so don’t just say “oh I’m going to be a celebrity when I graduate” life is so much harder than what we may think the time and effort to make dreams come true comes at such a great cost I ask are you ready to spend the time needed or will you end up on the corner we all have the potential to do so much more with our lives don’t let other people be your fall from fame I ask you to stand up and be you Glenville students and staff.

King Claudius

My mind now moves to distant places.
I'm walking the streets of Elsinore,
through its squares, and I recall
the very sad story-
that unfortunate king
killed by his nephew
because of some fanciful suspicions.
In all the homes of the poor
he was mourned secretly
(they were afraid of Fortinbras).
A quiet, gentle man,
a man who loved peace
(his country had suffered much
from the wars of his predecessor),
he behaved graciously toward everyone,
humble and great alike.
Never high-handed, he always sought advice
in the kingdom's affairs
from serious, experienced people.
Just why his nephew killed him
was never actually explained.
The prince suspected him of murder,
and the basis of his suspicion was this:
walking one night along an ancient battlement
he thought he saw a ghost
and he had a conversation with this ghost;
what he supposedly heard from the ghost
were certain accusations against the king.
It must have been a fit of fancy,
an optical illusion
(the prince was nervous in the extreme;
while he was studying at Wittenberg,
many of his fellow students thought him a maniac).
A few days later he went
to his mother's room to discuss
certain family affairs. And suddenly,
while he was talking, he lost his self-control,
started shouting, screaming
that the ghost was there in front of him.
But his mother saw nothing at all.
And that same day, for no apparent reason,
he killed an old gentleman of the court.
Since the prince was due to sail for England
in a day or two,
the king hustled him off post-haste
in order to save him.
But the people were so outraged
by the monstrous murder
that rebels rose up
and tried to storm the palace gates,
led by the dead man's son,
the noble lord Laertes
(a brave young man, also ambitious;
in the confusion, some of his friends called out:
'Long live King Laertes!').
Later, once the kingdom had calmed down
and the king was lying in his grave-
he was killed by his nephew, the prince,
who never went to England
but escaped from the ship on his way there-
a certain Horatio came forward
and tried to exonerate the prince
by telling some stories of his own.
He said that the voyage to England
had been a secret plot, and orders
had been given to kill the prince there
(but this was never clearly ascertained).
He also spoke of poisoned wine-
wine poisoned by the king.
It's true that Laertes spoke of this too.
But couldn't he have been lying?
Couldn't he have been mistaken?
And when did he say all this?
While dying of his wounds, his mind reeling,
his talk seemingly delirious.
As for the poisoned weapons,
it was shown later that the poisoning
hadn't been done by the king at all:
Laertes himself had done it.
But Horatio, whenever pressed,
would produce even the ghost as a witness:
the ghost said this and that,
the ghost did this and that!
Because of all this, though letting Horatio talk,
most people in their hearts
pitied the poor king,
who, with all these ghosts and fairy tales,
was unjustly killed and disposed of.
Yet Fortinbras, who profited
by winning the throne so easily,
gave full attention and weight
to every word Horatio said.
