from the fury, the noise,
and the roar of the wheel...

my unconscious greed,

THE FATHER.

FATHER of Heaven, and Him, by whom

VOICE OF THE PEOPLE (wailing dismally):
'Who can deliver us, Lord of our destiny!
Out of the depths comes our passionate cry,
Wrung from the soul of us. Aid for the whole of us!

Mother's eyes are sparkling diamonds,
Still the moon shows no light
This rose is withered, may God deliver
