Too Blind To Recognize

Too blind to recognize.
No one really knew,
Who they saw on a regular basis.
And this was not encouraged,
To be expected to accept.
Yet discussing other people,
Was what they did best.
Too blind to recognize.

Too blind to recognize.
Disrespecting was all they knew.
And this they did with a full effect.
No one knew who did what.
Or who had experiences to share,
That would provide benefits all would get.
So no one saw to see to receive opportunities,
They would meet but too blind to recognize.

Too blind to recognize,
Gifts given as a prize!
Gifts given they should pride.

Too blind to recognize,
Gifts given as a prize!
Gifts given they should pride.

Just too blind to recognize.
Just too blind to recognize.
Just too blind to recognize...
Gifts given as a prize!
Gifts given they should pride.
Too blind to recognize.
Just too blind to recognize.
Too blind to recognize.
Just too blind to recognize...
Gifts given as a prize!
Gifts given they should pride.
Too blind to recognize.

Bad n Ruin

(rod stewart, ian mclagan)
Mother dont you recognize your son, ooh hoo
Coming home, yeah yeah
Getting home, cause I failed you mother, hmm-mmm
Ill be there in the mornin
If you have me back
The rent up here is much too high
For a room without a tap
A room without a tap, hoo
Ill be early in the morning
And Ill find my way back home
Back home bad n ruin
With my tail between my legs
Tail between my legs
And Ill be so tired
Ill be so tired, now listen
Ill be early tomorrow morning
And Ill fall down off my plane
Dont be embarrassed mother
By your ugly worn-out son, hmm
Your ugly worn-out son.
So just let me warn you
Mother, you wont recognize me now
Mother, you wont recognize me now
Mother, you wont recognize me now, hoo
And Ill be down on cannon[? ] street
Passport in my hand
Should you could not recognize me
Ive heavily made-up eyes
Momma, you wont recognize me now
Brother, you wont recognize me now
Hello there
Sister, you wont recognize me now
Mother, you wont recognize me now
Ooh, hoo
So mother when youve seen me
Dont forget Im your boy too
I know my brother has done you proud
Hes one foot in the grave
Mother dont you recognize me now ?
Im a burglar in the first degree
But it dont seem to worry me
Ill be so tired, so tired
Ill be so tired, so tired
So tired

Prince Hohenstiel-Schwangau, Saviour of Society

Epigraph

I slew the Hydra, and from labour pass'd
To labour — tribes of labours! Till, at last,
Attempting one more labour, in a trice,
Alack, with ills I crowned the edifice.

You have seen better days, dear? So have I —
And worse too, for they brought no such bud-mouth
As yours to lisp "You wish you knew me!" Well,
Wise men, 't is said, have sometimes wished the same,
And wished and had their trouble for their pains.
Suppose my Œdipus should lurk at last
Under a pork-pie hat and crinoline,
And, latish, pounce on Sphynx in Leicester Square?
Or likelier, what if Sphynx in wise old age,
Grown sick of snapping foolish people's heads,
And jealous for her riddle's proper rede, —
Jealous that the good trick which served the turn
Have justice rendered it, nor class one day
With friend Home's stilts and tongs and medium-ware,—
What if the once redoubted Sphynx, I say,
(Because night draws on, and the sands increase,
And desert-whispers grow a prophecy)
Tell all to Corinth of her own accord.
Bright Corinth, not dull Thebes, for Lais' sake,
Who finds me hardly grey, and likes my nose,
And thinks a man of sixty at the prime?
Good! It shall be! Revealment of myself!
But listen, for we must co-operate;
I don't drink tea: permit me the cigar!
First, how to make the matter plain, of course —
What was the law by which I lived. Let 's see:
Ay, we must take one instant of my life
Spent sitting by your side in this neat room:
Watch well the way I use it, and don't laugh!
Here's paper on the table, pen and ink:
Give me the soiled bit — not the pretty rose!
See! having sat an hour, I'm rested now,
Therefore want work: and spy no better work
For eye and hand and mind that guides them both,
During this instant, than to draw my pen
From blot One — thus — up, up to blot Two — thus —
Which I at last reach, thus, and here's my line
Five inches long and tolerably straight:

Love Is Calling Give Me A Chance

Love is calling give me a chance
Give me one more reluctant chance
Love is calling give me hope
Give me a minute an hour
Let me prove I can change
Give me a minute an hour
And I'll prove even a wilting bloom
Can live and fulfill a promise

Love is calling give me a chance
Give me one more reluctant chance
And I'll move heaven and earth
And turn all this flotsam and surf away
And switch on the sun
And turn this hellish feeling into
A kingdom of heaven you can depend upon

Love is calling give me a chance
Give me one more reluctant chance
And like a star I'll make your hear feel fusion
Give me one more reluctant chance
And I'll show you the real reluctant me
That was fearful to be just there
When you turned around for me

Love is calling give me a chance
Give me one more reluctant chance
For you and me!
For you and me!
For you and me!
For you and me!
For you and me!

The Reoccuring Dream

Words and music by joni mitchell
This is the reoccurring dream
Born in the dreary gap between
What we have now
And what we wish we could have
More fulfilling--and less frustrating!
Out of the envy in our eyes
Look!
Glamorous picture people rise
Radiant!
Gleaming down from screens and pages
Ooh--glamour--before your very eyes!
Isnt it true--isnt it true?
Good question--i know--who cares
Look here they tell you
If you had this
If you had that
Latest styles and colors
If we had that for us mmmmm
Wouldnt it be fabulous
If you had that house, car, bottle, jar
Your lovers would look like movie stars
Movie stars, movie stars, movie stars
Order your youth secrets of the stars
Call now--just $9.99
Our discontent is their delight
They offer relief for the purchase price
Love in a bottle
Love on four wheels
Is that our new car charles?
Isnt it true--isnt it true?
We guarantee it--pick up your phone and dial
See here they sell you
If you had this
If you had that
I want a new truck!--more power!
If you use this shampoo
True love will come to you
If you had that house, car, bottle, jar
Your lovers would look like movie stars
Movie stars, movie stars, movie stars
Hollywoods greatest legends
Recognize this?
Dreamer
Soft sexy hair
Dream on
Hes going to love me in this ruby, ruby lipstick
Others will notice!--sexy!--who cares!
Recognize this?
Dreamer

Beyond Recognition

no my friend
no, you can't recognize me
any more at this moment
burnt in the firmament of
my unadulterated desire for you
i'm now reduced to
a whiff of thin vapour
quickly carried away by the wind
and in no time absorbed by ether

no friend, no
you can't recognize me
any more at this moment
i'm now a tomb with all
love and hurt accrued
buried deep within with
no epitaph inscribed

no my friend
no, you can't recognize me
any more at this moment
as i sit in a corner of a cold bed
drawing my empty limbs closer
as if they're all that's left of me...

no my friend, no
you can't recognize me
any more at this moment
as much as i can't recognize me myself
through this vacant mirror...
wait, there from a corner
i recognize you simply gazing
at nothing in particular...

why, you alone?
i recognize my self
no more...

Put Yourself On a Diet of Love

Put yourself on a diet of love.
And recognize the meaning of forgiveness.
To strengthen and not weaken.

Put yourself on a diet of love.
And recognize the meaning of forgiveness.
Through the week and over the weekend...
No matter who may think you're freaking!

Put yourself on a diet of love.
And recognize the meaning of forgiveness.
Recognize the benefit,
Of a happiness exisiting.

Put yourself on a diet of love.
And recognize the meaning of forgiveness.
Only you can testify of Sunlight on the horizon.

Put yourself on a diet of love.
And recognize the meaning of forgiveness.
To strengthen and not weaken.
And declare your peace of mind,
Has come to satisfy your needs.

Put yourself on a diet of love.
And recognize the meaning of forgiveness.
You will find a peace of mind,
Has no time to search for enemies.

Put yourself on a diet of love.
Get rid of nitpick nibbling.
Put yourself on a diet of love.
Get rid of nitpick nibbling.

You will find a peace of mind,
Has no time to search for enemies.
So...
Put yourself on a diet of love.
Get rid of nitpick nibbling.
Put yourself on a diet of love.
Get rid of nitpick nibbling.

Put yourself on a diet of love.

Reluctant

RELUCTANT

Much need to feed, reluctant to be fed,
A paradox where intellect detracts.
Unlocking former fears dulls doubt’s attacks,
Desire draws trumps, lumps crumple, heart instead
Exposes double bind behind mind led
Combatting déjà vu's stark whites and blacks.
One wonders why self-confidence she lacks
Regarding sensuality two thread -
Rough past perhaps cost counted, mirage bled.
Idyll awaits as life's flow interacts
Exchanging sentiments, repairing cracks,
Response, reactions spurned, tunes heart to head.
As nurture helps true sentiments take root,
Seed sown may blossom, fair boughs bear full fruit.

Mediocrity can’t be her cup of tea.
Alert intelligence seems well aware
Urge to expand won't simply stop and stare,
Doubts must flout through shared transparency
Exploring wave lengths to which few can key.
Control, when role-reversed helps heart prepare
Open options, sloughs defensive layer,
Refutes old walls, heeds shackled spirit’s plea.
Renascent quest for self-acceptancy
Inhibitions shed is inner prayer -
Emancipation, self-fulfilling dare -
Requires heart’s hopes stir mind’s integrity
Affording comfort outside status quo,
So happiness may shared emotions know.

Reluctant Traps

Today...
Many are living lives no longer valued.
Shown by the expressions worn on their faces.
Traced with an obvious depression.
Adorning faked grins,
No longer protect them from this impression.
Since the measure of success for them,
Has either been foreclosed or repossessed.
And many things once lavishly blinging,
Gone to pawn.

Standards held to appraise the good side of life,
Has taken a hike...
To repress pretentions and the getting of attention,
Once so loved.
And for some coming to grips with this,
A broadened insight for them has begun to exist.
To finally rid themselves of reluctance.
And reluctant traps...
Are just that.
A reluctance that is trapped until removed.

Reluctant traps are just that!
Once released for them,
One should make a break...
Doing what it takes.
And don't buy...
Into gloom.

Reluctant traps are just that!
Sit back.
And don't buy,
Into gloom.

Reluctant traps are just that!
Sit back.
And don't buy,
Into gloom.

An Old Man With His Hat

There Little Robbie found him in an old yellow album
A blurred picture of a half old man with his hat
Standing in front of the coffin
He smiles shy but wide with his teeth gone making a hole like Little Robbie when he lose his baby teeth
Little Robbie doesn’t recognize him and he wonder where he is now
Maybe he is one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families
So he asks to his big sister
But his sister doesn’t recognize him and she wonder who he is
Maybe he is one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families
So he asks to his mother
But his mother doesn’t recognize him and she wonder how he was there
Maybe he is one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families
So he asks to his father
But his father doesn’t recognize him and he wonder what he did there
Maybe he is one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families
So he asks to his uncle
But his uncle doesn’t recognize him and he wonder when the picture taken
Maybe he is one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families
So he asks hopelessly to his grandfather
His grandfather takes a deep look to that picture and wonders why Little Robbie asks
Little Robbie says, “I want to meet him! I want to know about him! I want to play with him! ”
Maybe he is one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families
But his grandfather shakes his head, “No, he is not.”
He is not one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families
He is just an old man with his hat
He accompanied your great grandfather when he sick until his death. This picture is taken in a burial of your great grandfather.”
His grandfather stares at little Robbie
“Now, are you disappointed? ”
He is not one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families
He is just an old man with his hat
Little Robbie shakes his head, “No, I am not.”
Though he is not one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families
Though he is just an old man with his hat
“But I still want to meet him, I want to know about him, and I want to play with him! ”
And then he could be one of his grandfathers, one of his great uncles, one of his old families

If HE is Not Now Here, HE is Nowhere!

Wandering here and there,
Searching for beloved,
On moutain peaks,
Nature looks beautiful with green forest and meadows covered by veil of fog and mist!
Forest and meadows full of life
Looking at the mountain peak,
standing in meadow the cloud of mist,
covering it now!

For one spiritual minded,
World is felt under veil,
For materialistic mind spirit covered under veil,
Reality is under veil of mind,
Light is more deceptive,
When light passes through veil of ignorance of mind,
Creator looks like creature,
How one can believe creator,
his creation creature are one!

The belief and faith are so strong,
That even if creator comes and say,
'I am the creator',
We drag him to court,
Or show him way to asylum,
Because we are creators of our future,
never want creator to poke his nose,
When misguided mind,
Keeps on misguiding,
Misguiding its own creator!
Every flow of current,
Generate a force,
Which opposes its own origin,

So, son opposes his own father,
not knowing father, mother, son are same and one!

The one not found in me or you,
Or in the space within atom,
Or not found in beauty of nature,
Beauty of life around,
How can he be in Kashi or Jerusalem or Kaaba?

If not He can understand my song of love,
How he can understand Mantra and verses?

If he can't cross the boundary of hearts,
Man made boundaries of caste and creed,
Nation and state borders,
How can I believe, He is LORD OF UNIVERSE?

Young Annie

She is twenty and very attractive with shoulder length curly brown hair
And she is so happy go lucky and of her beauty she seems unaware
The young blokes to her are attracted but she doesn't have a man in her life
And not in her plans for the future the lot of the mother and wife.

Young Annie is an animal lover and for animal welfare she fights
And she will tell you not unlike humans that animals too should have rights
She hates all of the so called sports people who shoot at things that run or fly
And she vows that she will oppose them right up till the day that she die.

She opposes those who export live sheep and cattle to be slaughtered in lands over seas
Many of them die in the warm tropics of heat stress in soaring degrees
And she opposes the law who upholds this bad practice and the red tape of bureaucracy
And she is a very brave woman and not many as brave as she.

Her fight is against the pig farmers who keep their pigs locked in small crates
And her fight is against the big fowl shed owners who on the public lock their gates
She firmly believes that all creatures are born to only range free
And in animal rights she believes in and she is anti cruelty.

Young Annie is a vegetarian and she does not eat fish or meat
And her fight is for animal welfare the creatures we kill for to eat
And though animals are still kept in cages she fights for their right to live free
And she say the cause she espouses is worthy and who am I to disagree.

Experience

--A COSTLY good ; that none e'er bought or sold
For gem, or pearl, or miser's store, twice told :
Save certain watery pearls, possessed by all,
Which, one by one, may buy it as they fall.
Of these, though precious, few will not suffice,
So slow the traffic, and so large the price !

It is for wrinkled brows, grey locks, and sighs,
Not for bright blooming cheeks and sparkling eyes ;
When those have faded, these as dimly shine--
Then, in their stead, Experience may be thine.
Books will assert, and sires and pulpits teach,
And youth may listen to their sober speech,
And smiling lips pronounce a careless 'yes,'
While neither eye nor heart can acquiesce.
But grief extorts conviction ; brings to view
Those slightest words, and answers--'very true.'
Surprised, reluctant, yet at last compelled
To own, what long in doubtful scale was held,
That life, whate'er the course our own has led,
Is much the same as what our fathers said.

A tattered cottage, to the view of taste,
In beauty glows, at needful distance placed :
Its broken panes, its richly ruined thatch,
Its gable graced with many a mossy patch,
The sunset lighting up its varied dyes,
Form quite a picture to poetic eyes ;
And yield delight that modern brick and board,
Square, sound, and well arranged, would not afford.
But, cross the mead to take a nearer ken,--
Where all the magic of the vision then ?
The picturesque is vanished, and the eye,
Averted, turns from loathsome poverty ;
And while it lingers, e'en the sun's pure ray
Seems almost sullied by its transient stay.
The broken walls, with slight repairs embossed,
Are but cold comforts in a winter's frost :
No smiling, peaceful peasant, half refined,
There tunes his reed on rustic seat reclined ;
But there the bended form and haggard face,
Worn with the lines that vice and misery trace.
Thus fades the charm, by vernal hope supplied
To every object it has never tried ;
--To fairy visions, and elysian meads,
Thus vulgar, cold reality succeeds.

When sanguine youth the plain of life surveys,
It does not calculate on rainy days.
Some, as they enter on the unknown way,

The Pleasures of Imagination: Book The Second

When shall the laurel and the vocal string
Resume their honours? When shall we behold
The tuneful tongue, the Promethéan hand
Aspire to ancient praise? Alas! how faint,
How slow the dawn of beauty and of truth
Breaks the reluctant shades of Gothic night
Which yet involve the nations! Long they groan'd
Beneath the furies of rapacious force;
Oft as the gloomy north, with iron-swarms
Tempestuous pouring from her frozen caves,
Blasted the Italian shore, and swept the works
Of liberty and wisdom down the gulph
Of all-devouring night. As long immur'd
In noon-tide darkness by the glimmering lamp,
Each muse and each fair science pin'd away
The sordid hours: while foul, barbarian hands
Their mysteries profan'd, unstrung the lyre,
And chain'd the soaring pinion down to earth.
At last the muses rose, and spurn'd their bonds,
And wildly warbling, scatter'd, as they flew,
Their blooming wreaths from fair Valclusa's bowers
Arno's myrtle border and the shore of soft Parthenope.

But still the rage of dire ambition and gigantic power,
From public aims and from the busy walk
Of civil commerce, drove the bolder train
Of penetrating science to the cells,
Where studious ease consumes the silent hour
In shadowy searches and unfruitful care.
Thus from their guardians torn, the tender arts
Of mimic fancy and harmonious joy,
To priestly domination and the lust
Of lawless courts, their amiable toil
For three inglorious ages have resign'd,
In vain reluctant: and Torquato's tongue
Was tun'd for slavish pæans at the throne
Of tinsel pomp: and Raphael's magic hand
Effus'd its fair creation to enchant
The fond adoring herd in Latian fanes
To blind belief; while on their prostrate necks
The sable tyrant plants his heel secure.

But now behold! the radiant æra dawns,
When freedom's ample fabric, fix'd at length
For endless years on Albion's happy shore
In full proportion, once more shall extend
To all the kindred powers of social bliss
A common mansion, a parental roof.
There shall the virtues, there shall wisdom's train,
Their long-lost friends rejoining, as of old,

Behind The Mask

Written by christine mcvie.
Dont you come too close to me
Youre dangerous, cant you see
You can make the darkness mean more
Then it ever did
Ever did before
Its a devils disguise
Angel in black
And I recognize the face behind the mask
Its a devils disguise
Angel in black
I dont know if I want you back
Youre the cool nights of the desert
And the hot kisses of the sun
Why is it that I dont belive you
When you say Im the only one
I know Im the lonely one
Its a devils disguise
Angel in black
And I recognize the shadows from your past
Its a devils disguise
Angel in black
Dont you know itll never last
The face behind the mask
There will never be a second chance for you
Oh no
Not for you
Its a devils disguise
Angel in black
And I recognize the face behind the mask
Its a devils disguise
Angel in black
Dont you know itll never last
The face behind the mask
Its a devils disguise
Angel in black
And I recognize the shadows from your past
Its a devils disguise
Angel in black
I dont know if I want you back
I dont know if I want you back
Dont you know itll never last

The Face Of The Nation

As I run through this life
Sometimes it breaks my heart
Seein old people goin downtown
Stumblin their way through the dark
And the little babies cry
For their mothers warmth
Sometimes I feel so helpless
I dont know where to start
Chorus:
And the face of the nation
Keeps changin and changin
The face of th enation
I dont recognize it no more
The face of the neation
The face of the nation
So many lonely people
Damn those broken dreams
Oh yes it could be better
You can say that about anything
Some got it worse than me
Some got it worse than you
You see the people starvin underneath the tree
And you wonder what happened to the golden rule
Chorus:
And the face of the nation
Keeps changin and changin
The face of th enation
I dont recognize it no more
The face of the neation
The face of the nation
You know babe Im gonna keep on tryin
To put things right
If only for me and you
Cause the devil sleeps tonight
Chorus:
And the face of the nation
Keeps changin and changin
The face of th enation
I dont recognize it no more
The face of the neation
The face of the nation
And the face of the nation
Keeps changin and changin
The face of th enation
I dont recognize it no more

Firewalker

My hopes are like embers lying around inside a firebed and
Your mind is a firewalker, it steps on them like they are dead but
I can grow
In spite of all you know
You might not recognize me tomorrow
Yes I can change
In spite of all they say
Become something strange and beautiful
Like joy, like joy
Me, I'm like a wild flame that catches on whatever's near but
Your mind is a firewalker, it sets its course and never veers but
I can grow
In spite of all you know
You might not recognize me tomorrow
Yes I can change
In spite of all they say
Become something strange and beautiful
Like joy, like joy
Take offers from every side and give my attentions about anywhere well
Do I recognize my actions, I look like I'm so unaware like
I don't care
But I can grow
In spite of all you know
You might not recognize me tomorrow
Yes I can change
In spite of all they say
Become something strange and beautiful
Like joy, like joy

Song To

You think youve seen it all
Youve been all
You can be
One thing comes along
And changes everything
You came into our world
And changed our way of life
There you were so helpless
And so beautiful
Chorus:
Youll recognize in time
The things ive
Said and done
Youll recognize in time
My son
Someone has passed it on
Giving us the chance
Watching as we grow
Hope we can
Make a chance
This time
I hope I can
Help you grow
Show you what
I dont know
Help you
Be the person
That you wanna be
Time will pass so fast
Im holding to the past
Soon youll be on
Your very own
Repeat chorus
Nananna
Nananan
Nananana
Youll recognize in time
The things ive
Said and done
Youll recognize in time
My son
Someone has passed it on
Giving us the chance
Someone takes your hand
All part of the plan
Someone has passed it on
Giving us the change
This time
Watching as we grow
Hope we can
