Prosperity Palls

PROSPERITY PALLS
The era of pleasure is over for ever,
prosperity palls, seldom fails to appal.
When seeking some sanity see we should sever
last links with societal sirens that call
after all with fast laughter, considering never
that Man’s many illusions to dust must soon fall,
as dispassionate Death’s thrall not even keen, clever,
can ever avert, all are measured withal.
Vain attempts to escape fate prove empty endeavour
for sooner or later all sleep in Time's shawl.

nobody trusts it but the liars say, 'we trust it'
a golden city reappears after 3 years
happiness is gone away already
but the visionary truth is not alone now visually
rains of hope and prosperity call upon life in the motion

The Plains Of Riverine

I have come to tell you of the glorious news you'll all be glad to bear,
Of the pleasant alterations that are taking place this year.
So kindly pay attention, and I'll pass the whisper round,
The squatters of their own free will this year will pay the pound.

For this is a year of great prosperity, that everybody knows,
We'll take no top knots off this year, nor trim them to the toes,
But a level cut for a level pound, and the rations thrown in free.
That's how the squatters say they'll keep their Sovereign's Jubilee.

And kind Providence once more has sent the sweet, refreshing rains.
The trefoil and the barley grass wave high upon the plains,
The tanks all overflowing and the saltbush fresh and green,
It's a pleasure for to ramble o'er the plains of Riverine.

Once more upon the rippling lake the wild swan flaps her wing.
Out in the lignum swamps once more frogs croak and crickets sing.
Once more the wild fowl, sporting midst the crab-holes, may be seen,
For prosperity is hovering o'er the plains of Riverine.

Yes, 'twill be a year of full and plenty for those back-block pioneers,
Though behind each scrub and saltbush you can spot the bunny's ears;
And although the price for scalps is not so high as it has been,
Yet the bunny snappers they will thrive on the plains of Riverine.

You should see the jolly teamsters how with joy their faces beam,
As they talk about the crowfoot, carrots, crab-holes, and their team.
They tell you that this year they do intend to steer sixteen.
They'll show the "cookies" how to plough the plains of Riverine.

Yes, in more respects than one it is a year of joy and glee,
And the news of our prosperity has crossed the briny sea.
Once more the Maorilander and the Tassey will be seen
Cooking Johnny cakes and jimmies on the plains of Riverine.

They will gather like a regiment to the beating of the drum,
But it matters not to us from whence our future penmates come.
From New Zealand's snow-clad summits or Tasmania's meadows green,
We'll always make them welcome on the plains of Riverine.

Down from her rocky peaks Monaro will send her champions bold;
Victoria will send her "cockies," too, her honour to uphold.
They'll be here from Cunnamulla, and the rolling downs between,
For this is the real convincing ground, these plains of Riverine.

I have a message to deliver now, before I say farewell,
Some news which all the squatters have commissioned me to tell;
Your backs well bent, bows long and clean, that's what they want to see,
That your tallies may do you credit in this year of Jubilee.

Prosperity's Curse

Today the Church in America has truly lost Her focus and Her sight,
For America has truly been blinded by Her prosperity and Her might.

The day of opportunity is almost over and will soon turn to night,
So why is The Body of Christ not holding up the only guiding light?

Our purpose is to take The Light of Christ and penetrate the night,
Where what we know is wrong is proclaimed by evil men to be right.

We were told that evil men and imposters would go from bad to worse,
And to understand their wicked lies God's Truth must be dispersed.

And even though in His image God created all the men upon the earth,
They will never understand or attempt to change without a New Birth.

With the prosperity America has achieved came the ugly sin of pride,
And the Boldness we received by Grace, it has quickly pushed aside.

We do not have a spirit of timidity but boldness to say why He died,
But Christians who are quiet appear to have come along for the ride.

Today many Christians seem to think they can believe and just hide,
But The Lord who looks down on all says that He will not be denied.

Today the Church appears to have been cursed with a Laodicean mind,
Saying they're rich they don't know they're pitiful, poor and blind.

But there's still time to press on and leave this evil world behind,
So have a change of heart and The Holy Spirit will renew your mind.

The Song of Los

Africa

I will sing you a song of Los, the Eternal Prophet:
He sung it to four harps at the tables of Eternity.
In heart-formed Africa.
Urizen faded! Ariston shudder’d!
And thus the Song began:

ADAM stood in the garden of Eden
And Noah on the mountains of Ararat;
They saw Urizen give his Laws to the Nations
By the hands of the children of Los.
Adam shudder’d! Noah faded! Black grew the sunny African
When Rintrah gave Abstract Philosophy to Brama in the East.

Noah shrunk beneath the wathers;
Abram fled in fires from Chaldea;

To Trismegistur Palamabroon gave an abstract Law,
To Pythagoras, Socrates & Plato.

Time rolled on o’er all the sons of Har; time after time
Orc on Mount Atlas howl’d, chain’d down with the Chain of Jealousy.
Then Oothoon hover’d over Judah & Jerusalem,
And Jesus heard her voice (a man of sorrows); he reciev’d
A Gospel form wretched Theotormon.

The human race began to wither, for the healthy built
Secluded places, fearing the joys of Love,
And the diseased only propagated.
So Antamon call’d up Leutha from her valleys of delight
And to Mahomet a loose Bible gave.
But in the North to Odin Sotha gave a Code of War,
Because of Diralada, thinking to reclaim his joy.
These were the churches, Hospitals, Castles, Palace,
Like nets & gins & traps to catch the joys of Eternity,
And all the rest a desart;
Till like a dream Eternity was obliterated & erased,

Since that dread day when Har and Heva fled,
Because their brethren & sisters liv’d in War & Lust;
And as they fled, they shrunk
Into two narrow doleful forms,
Creeping in reptile flesh upon
The bosom of the ground,
And all the vast of Nature shrunk
Before their shrunken eyes.

Spiritual Famine

There is a famine within the land, as men hunger to understand,
The deeper issues of men’s ways, in these ever changing days.
It’s a famine of a spiritual kind, starving the heart and the mind,
In times that steadily darken, God’s Word men will not hearken.

Instead they lean upon creeds, to fill the deeper spiritual needs,
Needs from within their soul; which makes man spiritually whole.
Though religious they hunger still, as creed is not the Lord’s will,
The Lord’s ways are much higher, and Relationship is His desire.

Fellowship’s what the soul requires, to fulfill its deepest desires,
Man’s creed alone doesn’t equip, the heart for God’s fellowship.
That is why God sent His Son, to be The Mediator for everyone,
Who leaves behind empty creed, for Christ alone fills their need.

We are fed The Word of God, as Christ leads with staff and rod,
Feeding our soul with God’s Truth, with abundant lives as proof.
Avoiding famine we chose instead, His diet of life giving bread,
Following the words of Christ, the Living Truth and Bread of Life.

As the famine grips this world, Eternal Truths we need to herald,
Warning all seduced by mammon, they’ll be defeated by famine.
Only The Word of God can lead, to the prosperity we truly need,
And The Lord’s eternal prosperity, starts at the Cross of Calvary.
