Teen Aged Human...

The sleek bamboo shies away,
The stems of banana weep and cry,
Petals of chosen flowers hide and see,
How elegant you are at your teens, human.
The sun flowers just follow in obedience,
Where ever you go and disobedience,
To the sun is visually noted,
Angry sun looking for another flower,
To replace this infidel yellow flower.
When you walk in the garden,
The freshly bloomed flowers,
Close their petals,
For the fear of being ridiculed,
Just in the presence of,
your natural fragrance.
After Looking at your teeth,
Pearls of the ocean,
May go for a Whitening treat and
they may want to scale off the dirt that formed them.
When the wind meet the lady human at her teens,
It tries to blow as soft as the lady walks
When the moon meets the gentleman human at his teens,
She may show him the whitest face,
On full moon day to be his bride,
On new moon day.
If the sun passes by the lady human at her teens,
he will prostrate in front of her,
to choose him as a flower,
to wear on her plaited hair.

Chemical Addiction

I was only 15, standout on the ave.
Youre chasing a bad dream, a luxury I never had
Living my life in the box, or sleepin in the trash
Taking girls for the things I need, like booze, drugs and ass
Get stoned, daily survival in the war zone
Yeah our teens meant everything, alright
Half rack, smoking out till its all black
Death trap, watch me going blind, oh
I dont care what you say, i
Or what you do
Chemical addiction is
Getting rid of you
So high, colors turn to sound
Goodbye, let us in and well lay you in the ground
Chosen on the floor, take another drag
Bought a bunch of valiums from skinny broadway bag
I dont know much about heroin but i, I wanna try
Just about everything once before I die
Get stoned, daily survival in the war zone
Yeah our teens meant everything, alright
Half rack, smoking out till its all black
Death trap, watch me going blind, oh
I dont care what you say, i
Or what you do
Chemical addiction is
Getting rid of you
So high, colors turn to sound
Goodbye, let us in and well lay you in the ground
Now jerry do me like this...
Get stoned, daily survival in the war zone
Yeah our teens meant everything, alright
Half rack, smoking out till its all black
Death trap, watch me going blind, oh

And I can't tell you how many women from a certain age group - they would be in their 30s now, 20s and 30s - tell me about how I was their role model when they were young girls.

Hefemally

The nabbing,
In his early 30s;
The fallout,
In her early 30s;
From a humble beginning to its present status,
But the ages of the African Leaders are common to us all!
And like the ace of the black hearts.

Hefemally is my name and,
My present age is part of my journey in Africa! !
For the muse of love is like the aroma of sweet wine;
And like the colours of the rainbow,
But, my identity is the ace of the black love.

When I look out at the audience at some of our shows, I think we are reaching a younger audience... I see lots of people in their 30s and 40s, but I also see a lot of people in their young and middle teens, and that's definitely reassuring.

Every Little Girls Dream

I remember when I was a little girl
Growin up livin in my own little world
So it seemed
I had my dolls and dreams
Mama was always there to comfort me
And her love
Wasnt nothin quite like it
In the world that I knew of
Before I knew it, I was standing in my teens
Sweet little boy with his strong young arm holdin me
I remember the first time I felt his kiss
Oh, it like to drove me crazy
And I remember sayin I never felt nothin like this
So I went and asked mama
Can you tell me what it means
And she said, youre in love
And thats every little girls dream
Baby, what youve found
Is every little girls dream
So I said, mama does love ever last
She says, where by now let the future come to pass
Just understand and enjoy what youve found
And listen to it just as long as your heart is sound
And love, there aint nothin quite like it
In the world anybody knows of
There are worlds all through my teens
Same little boy with his strong young arm lovin me
I remember the first time I felt his kiss
Oh, it like to drove me crazy
And I remember sayin I never felt nothin like this
I remember sayin to mama
I know just what you mean
Im in love, and thats every little girls dream
Woah, what I found
Is every little girls dream
And I found mine, and mama says, me too baby
Once upon a time
It lifts you up, but it lets you down
Therell be another dream to bring it back around
Theres something about the first time
That keeps you rememberin
When youve found every little girls dream
Every little girls dream
I found
Every little girls dream
(I remember the first time I felt his kiss)
Every little girls dream
(I remember sayin I never felt nothin like this)
Every little girls dream
(I found someone and I fell in love)

One Lifes Enough

Theres a scene
Theres a scene
Indelible, it hangs before my eyes
Indelible, it hangs before my eyes
In our teens, incredibly
In our teens, incredibly
Together with no ties.
Together with no ties.
That was a life enough for me
That was a life enough for me
One lifes enough for me.
One lifes enough for me.
Throw back your heard
Throw back your heard
Let yout body curve
Let yout body curve
Into the long grass of the bed
Into the long grass of the bed
Pull me down into your hair
Pull me down into your hair
And Ill push and swerve
And Ill push and swerve
As we both gasp in the evening air
As we both gasp in the evening air
Yeah -- -- -- -- --
Yeah -- -- -- -- --
Throw back your head
Throw back your head
Ley your body curve
Ley your body curve
Into the long grass of the bed
Into the long grass of the bed
Pull me down into your hair
Pull me down into your hair
And Ill push and swerve
And Ill push and swerve
As we both gasp in the evening air
As we both gasp in the evening air

Pre-teens, teens and college students have unlimited access to the Internet - 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Because of the repeated exposure they have to illegal Internet gambling sites, they fall victim by the thousands.

Ayo

Ayo, were you able to marry Emeka in the long run?
For you people were glued like two love birds in your teens;
And i do hope that things went on well with you people.

Who knows?
Since you people were swinging from bed to bed;
And you people played much lust during your teens.

I hope you are married to Emeka by now,
For life is not always blue as we do see it.

When I Was A Boy

When I was a baby I hadnt a care in the world,
When I was a baby I hadnt a care in the world,
But now Im a man, my troubles fill my head,
But now Im a man, my troubles fill my head,
When I was five it was good to be alive,
When I was five it was good to be alive,
But now Im a man, I wish that I were dead.
But now Im a man, I wish that I were dead.
My how time rushes by,
My how time rushes by,
The moment youre born you start to die,
The moment youre born you start to die,
Time waits for no man,
Time waits for no man,
And your lifes spent, its over before you begin.
And your lifes spent, its over before you begin.
As I sit here at my window,
As I sit here at my window,
My life comes back to me,
My life comes back to me,
Its been so long since the good days,
Its been so long since the good days,
Its been so long.
Its been so long.
And I count up all the wasted years,
And I count up all the wasted years,
The hopes and the fears,
The hopes and the fears,
The laughs and the tears,
The laughs and the tears,
And I wonder, I wonder, I wonder what went wrong.
And I wonder, I wonder, I wonder what went wrong.
When I was a boy I had the mind of a boy,
When I was a boy I had the mind of a boy,
But now Im a man, aint got no mind at all,
But now Im a man, aint got no mind at all,
When I was in my teens I had my share of dreams,
When I was in my teens I had my share of dreams,
But now Im a man, aint got no dreams at all.
But now Im a man, aint got no dreams at all.
My how time rushes by,
My how time rushes by,

39

I only woke this morning
To find the world is fair—
I’m going on for forty,
With scarcely one grey hair;
I’m going on for forty,
Where man’s strong life begins,
With scarce a sign of crows’ feet,
In spite of all my sins.

Then here’s the living Forties!
The Forties! The Forties!
Then here’s the living Forties!
We’re good for ten years more.

The teens were black and bitter,
A smothered boyhood’s grave—
A farm-drudge in the drought-time,
A weary workshop slave.
But twenty years have laid them,
And all the world is fair—
We’ll find time in the Forties,
To have some boyhood there.

Then here’s the wide, free Forties—
The Forties! The Forties!
Then here’s the wide, free Forties!
We’re good for ten years more!

The twenties they were noble,
The bravest years, I think;
’Twas man to man in trouble,
In working and in drink;
’Twas man to man in fighting,
For money or for praise.
And we’ll find in the Forties
Some more Bohemian days.

Then here’s the wiser Forties!
The Forties! The Forties!
Then here’s the wiser Forties!
We’re good for ten years more.

The thirties were the fate years;
I fought behind the scenes.
The thirties were more cruel
And blacker than the teens;
I held them not but bore them—
They were no years of mine;
But they are going from me,
For I am thirty-nine.

In The Art Class

I look around this joyful room,
Amongst the peaceful teens
This is perhaps the only class
Where students are not machines

In the art class they’ll smile
In the art class they’ll yell
In the art class they‘ll be kind
And not raise a hell

Many teachers wonder why this is so
Many teachers wonder where the secret lies
The secret to peaceful teens, which enjoy their work
The secret to the students without depressed cries

The students wonder how they could not get it
How they could not understand
How the teachers don’t realise
That in the art room there are no demands

In the maths class there are complications
In the English room there is language
But in the art room there is only creativity
It is that which students which to salvage

The art teacher is simple and kind
The art teacher doesn’t lecture or scream
The art teacher doesn’t force them to be equal
And make a most horrendous scene

No, in the art class they are not equal
But the differences they admire
They have a writer, a painter and a sculptor
And they have freedom to aspire

Freedom is what the students wish
The students wish to be treated like people
In the art class they are treated as such
In other classes they are believed incapable

The students will always be at peace in the art room
There will be no fights, no pain, and no scorn
The other teachers will wonder what the secret is
But their attempts to find out will always be forlorn

Kids, Teenagers And Adults

kids are fun
teens are cool
adults are serious even in the pool
we grow up never down
so let's enjoy while we can
a boy is a mess
a girl is a princess
teens are the same
and parents are the blame.
i'm just kidding because humour is fun
and life is dull.

On this silly hill

On this silly hill I remember the silly things
That we did
We were so young and we decided to pick
Some ripe mangoes on this silly
Isolated hill away from
Our teasing
Silly friends

And I really liked her a lot
My heart was trembling
Her heart too quivering
We felt we like each other
Feelings like hot chili
Heating our ears

We said we love each other
We promised to love each other
Till the end of days

And so I climbed the mango tree
And picked the most luscious
Delicious mangoes as may be gleaned
From their color and shape
Thinking all the best for her
That I could give
To her

I put all the mangoes in my shirt
And I was silly looking silly like a tray to her
And she picked them one by one
Near my chest lower to my tummy
Nearer to my bulge

I was breathless
As she took more
Ripe mangoes from me
Slowly
Gracefully
Peeling with her mouth and tongue
Licking the yellowish pulp
And she said the mangoes were all
So sweet smelling and delicious
Like me

She was craving
She was raving
I was simply receptive
Giving in
All
To what she wanted

A Healthier Easter

This is the first Easter
No candy baskets will be here
But we had so many baskets
Each and every year.

The kids are older now
Candy they don’t want anymore
So this Easter the baskets sit empty
Behind the closet door.

Somehow I want the Easter Bunny here
Want those baskets filled with eggs so bright
But my teens want to be healthier
So they make sure that they eat right.

They forfeit sugar and junk
No more Peeps or a big chocolate bunny
But being without Easter Baskets on Easter
Seems to be very odd and funny.

So I am putting the word out
To the Easter Bunny in my town
That I don’t think the teens will mind
If you decide to come around.

Maybe you could leave some health bars
Perhaps some fruit and veggies too
And maybe you could put some books in there
Those things could still say “I love you”.
