Mystery of Mind Poem - the mind has a mind of its own

the mind
has a mind
of its own

the mind
possesses
a life of its own

a personality
of its own

an intelligence
of its own

give it a
chance
to talk to you

be quiet

and you will
be surprised
and bewildered
at what you
could hear

the mind
it longs to
talk to you
communicate
with you

all your life

a timeless
formless,
shapeless
machine
shoved into
a sanctum
to work with
time, shape,
form and
You

The Night Has A Thousand Eyes

The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies
With the dying sun.

The mind has a thousand eyes,
And the heart but one:
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When love is done.

My Mind Has Become A Poem

My mind has become a poem
And whatever I think and feel
Forms into lines
And imprisons me

I can't escape
I am lost in the poem I am

And written by it
I almost forget
That I too
Am not really
Just a Dream

The World Has Passed Me By

THE WORLD HAS PASSED ME BY

The world has passed me by-
Its rules have changed-
I am playing an old game
No one plays anymore -
I cannot win
Because there are no winners of this kind anymore -
The world has passed me by
And it is as if I have already died.

The Mind Could Sense God

the mind works
like a bloom
when god comes
it spreads out
leaving a vacuum
of sacred beauty
for the seat of almighty
there is a machinery
in the mind that automatically
senses god and his sacredness
so that when he comes
the mind nudges its owner
the heart is left with a wonder
of the highest kind
and a full impression
the man and the soul develop from there

The Mind's Liberty

The mind, with its own eyes and ears,
May for these others have no care;
No matter where this body is,
The mind is free to go elsewhere.
My mind can be a sailor, when
This body's still confined to land;
And turn these mortals into trees,
That walk in Fleet Street or the Strand.

So, when I'm passing Charing Cross,
Where porters work both night and day,
I ofttimes hear sweet Malpas Brook,
That flows thrice fifty miles away.
And when I'm passing near St Paul's
I see beyond the dome and crowd,
Twm Barlum, that green pap in Gwent,
With its dark nipple in a cloud.

The Night Has A Thousand Eyes

They say that youre a run around lover
Tho you say it isnt so
But if you put me down for another
Ill know, believe me
Ill know
cause the night has a thousand eyes
And a thousand eyes cant help but see
If you arent true to me
So remember when you tell those
Little white lies that the night
Has a thousand eyes
One of these days youre gonna be sorry
cause your game Im gonna play
And youll find out without really trying
Each time that my kisses stray
That the night has a thousand eyes
And a thousand eyes will see me through
And no matter what I do
I could never disguise
All those little white lies
cause the night has a thousand eyes
So remember when you tell those
Little white lies that the night
Has a thousand eyes

The Smile Has Left Your Eyes

I saw you standing hand in hand
And now you come to me the solitary man
And I know what it is that made us live
Such ordinary lives
The where to go the who to see
No one could sympathize
The smile has left your eyes
The smile has left your eyes
And Ive become a rolling stone
I dont know where to go or what to call my own
But I can see that black horizon glooming
Ever close to view
Its over now its not my fault
See how this feels for you
The smile has left your eyes
The smile has left your eyes
But I never thought Id see you
Standing there with him
So dont come crawling back to me
Now its too late you realized
Now theres no one can sympathize
Now that the smile has left your eyes
Now its too late you realized
Now theres no one can sympathize
Now its too late you realized
Now that the smile has left your eyes

The Bottom Has Been Knocked Out

I've given to you all that I am.
And still you're talking,
To find a fault.

I've given to you all that I can.
And still you're threatening,
From me to walk.

And I don't know,
What it is I've done.
And...
I don't know,
What it is I should...
Overcome.

There is no more from me I can give.
'Cause...
The bottom has been knocked out.

And...
I don't know,
What it is I've done.
And...
I don't know,
What it is I should...
Overcome.

I've given to you all that I am.
And still you're talking,
To find a fault.

I've given to you all that I can.
And still you're threatening,
From me to walk.

And I don't know,
What it is I've done.
And...
I don't know,
What it is I should...
Overcome.

'Cause...
The bottom has been knocked out,
Of my heart.
The bottom has been knocked out.

And...
I don't know,
What it is I've done.
And...
I don't know,
What it is I should...
Overcome.

There is no more from me I can give,
'Cause...
The bottom has been knocked out.
No...
There is no more from me I can give,
'Cause...
The bottom has been knocked out,
Of my heart.
There is no more from me I can give.

The city has a deadly wound

The city has a deadly wound
and on the street without a place to go,
sits an old man and his old wife
and their small white dog.

I see a blonde girl watching cars,
to buy a piece of bread
and her face tells that she has problems
and I wonder how she washes
the dirt of the road from herself?

a Red haired guy sleeps in boxes on the sidewalk
and at a traffic light there’s children that sniffs glue.
At another traffic light
there’s a couple with a baby,
that stands in the hot sun
and is dependant on motorists for their fate.

Just before a traffic circle there’s a man
with short pants,
where day after day
he sells koeksisters.

a Man with dark glasses and a hat
strokes his guitar
chord after chord and sings sad songs
and I see that his hat is empty
where he is in a small alley
while minibus taxis hoot the whole time.

Taxes are getting higher
and everybody has to bare the brunt of it,
but the poor are on the street with their pain
and wait for the misery to pass
like flowers trying to blossom in a desert
and they are surprised and scarred by life
and wait in vain for a place in the sun.

[Koeksisters=> a Baked delicacy with syrup in it.]

The Stolen Child

Where dips the rocky highland
Of Sleuth Wood in the lake,
There lies a leafy island
Where flapping herons wake
The drowsy water rats;
There we've hid our faery vats,
Full of berrys
And of reddest stolen cherries.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

Where the wave of moonlight glosses
The dim gray sands with light,
Far off by furthest Rosses
We foot it all the night,
Weaving olden dances
Mingling hands and mingling glances
Till the moon has taken flight;
To and fro we leap
And chase the frothy bubbles,
While the world is full of troubles
And anxious in its sleep.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

Where the wandering water gushes
From the hills above Glen-Car,
In pools among the rushes
That scarce could bathe a star,
We seek for slumbering trout
And whispering in their ears
Give them unquiet dreams;
Leaning softly out
From ferns that dropp their tears
Over the young streams.
Come away, O human child!
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.

Away with us he's going,
The solemn-eyed:
He'll hear no more the lowing
Of the calves on the warm hillside
Or the kettle on the hob
Sing peace into his breast,
Or see the brown mice bob
Round and round the oatmeal chest.
For he comes, the human child,
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand,
For the world's more full of weeping than he can understand.

Cello More Important Than Life

Your righteous indignation at my making two mistakes
that merely disturbed your complacency authorises you
to swear at me and sets you free from any need to apologise,
in this house I must reiterate how sorry I am and write letters
explaining why I messed up and became guilty of high treason
and should be shot for multiple shortcomings, the situation is
so bizarre it makes me laugh - Mein Herr Marquis, ein Mann
wie Sie … drum verzeihen Sie wenn ich lache - ha ha ha ha ha
ha ha ha [Die Fledermaus]

Your injured dignity forces you to ignore me pointedly - fine,
after laughing to my heart's content, the screensaver that gives
meaning to everyday routine, Timothy Dalton as 007 - The
Living Daylights - keeps my mind occupied; while you steam
and froth at the mouth, presenting like Le Malade Imaginaire
of Molière, waiting to execute me with the guillotine of your
mouth - I happily watch 007 rise to the occasion as he con-
fronts the KJB - while you prepare the devastating speech
that is meant to change me into Quasimodo himself

I am walking the grey steets of Russia in 1987, a cello is clearly
more important than a life, once again the situation is clear -
yes, your discomfiture is more important than my work or life,
James Bond puts it all in perspective, having just used a laser
light on an official car, yes, this is life, as long as the
imagination can take us away, reality is just the trampoline
providing lift-off into the sky, sorry Mein Herr Marquis, a
tragedy in the land of ice has taken me away, the cello has
taken a bullet and they just went through the border post
- safe in Austria -

While the KJB is getting ready to launch new attacks on everyone

Desire for you

My stars of sky, my bree's of beach
I feel you are united and bonded with me
like a bird thirsty of water for months
suddenly finding a oasis
some power making you and me together
with same frequency of intense feeling
we are floating somewhere in the beautiful horizon
with an equal wave length.
you are my point of attraction, fantasy and dreams
where my mind has taken over body and soul
with all the infinity roses of love
I don't limit you, i put you on the rainbows......
beyond eternity of time and destiny
I 'desire for you' 'desire for you...'

The Noble Forgotten

I remember the old stories my granddad told
About the dead the dying the brave and the bold
Those who kissed their lives away
To die alone in some war torn bay

They saved the lives of a thousand men
Their noble lives thrown to the tan tien
to lie in a ditch slowly to die
no mercy to those who's last call was a cry

Every man told was noble and just
they died alone ashes and dust
those brave men condemned to rest
the right thing to do ended in death
The last of the great breed died in vain
the world has forgotten those fallen and slain
Why is it the noble die alone
nothing but rotten skin and bone

The world is owned by greed and lust
The fallens eyes full of tears and disgust
To die with honour and erased by greed
no woman has love for the fallen breed
I don't want to be like the old brave
unloved but noble a universal slave
I fight what I am and want what I'm not
because I just don't want to die alone
the wrong are the righteous?
and were have we gone wrong?

T. B. D.

In the moment I was losing my head
And I was
Reachin forward, I was already there
Readin too much and losin my head
This information caused a cut in the line
Now Im remembering God and readin
Too much its so nice
The print is smaller than the ants in the grass
Ill have to put it away now
In the morning there are things to be read
Words to be said and food to be fed but i
Wont be there. Ill be clutchin on a
Megaphone pointed at my head, would you be
There, would you kindly, read this word for
Word so loud and clear, I cant remember
It all, it needs to be clear, I tell you, if
The feeling drops out of your voice, would you
Kindly pick it up
This is how, Ill go out tonight
Dressed in blue, by the book tonight
This is how, Ill go out tonight
But I dont need a book.
Were talkin anchors, talkin ships, were
Talkin seas, were talkin everything you need
You should be workin now, not only askin
How and the whereabouts of where youll
Be. I dont suspect you will be thinking
When the brain is dead and the mind
Has taken over, this is a skill, this
Is not a game, where have you been,
Are you with us? can you hear us? got
The megaphone pointed at you
