I Can Remember

I can remember when we first met,
We really had some times.
When the success started to kick in,
Life turned into a mess.
Why cant we still be friends?
Why judge me for what I am?
Cant we go back again?
Im still the same man.
You figured out really who I am,
Dont bet your life on that.
Why cant you see me for what I am?
Were human, dont forget that... that.
Why cant we still be friends?
Why judge me for what I am?
Cant we go back again?
Im still the same man.
Still around.
Dont follow me around.
Playin me like a clown.
Facing life not real... not real.
Lifes not real. not real. (x2)
Why cant we still be friends?
Why judge me for what I am?
Cant we go back again?
Im still the same man.
Same man! (x4)

I Can Remember

I can remember when I was six
my father would play so many tricks.
and I would fall for them all.
He'd pull coins from my ear.
He'd measure my height on a wall
and say to me,
'My you're getting tall.'

I can remember when I was seven.
he made up stories all about heaven.
He told me that there was no hell.
Then he'd kiss me. I remember his smell.
He called it 'Old Spice.'
I called it nice.
I'd watch him shave the foam from his face.
I can remember it all.

I can remember when I was ten.
My father always knew just when
to make me laugh if I was sad.
I also remember when he got mad.
He'd slam the door and pace the floor
and when his temper would settle down,
he was back to being my dad.

A special remembrance of my father on this Father's Day. I miss you.

I Remember When

I remember when you was all mine
When ever you told me you loved me,
I believed you everytime you told me.

I remember when you promised me
That you would never leave me for my friend,
Then you did that behind my back.

I remember when we had our first kiss
Your lips was so soft and tender,
And I will always remember how they felt.

I remember when I first met you
I was walking in the hall on a Friday,
And I said hi and so did you.

I remember when you went with me to an appointment
And on our way home we was taking silly pictures,
Those memories was great I would love to relive that day.

I remember when you told me it was over
I remember the date March 22,2011
Of our seven month anniversty,
You told me we needed a brake for awhile
And we might get back together sooner or later.

I remember when I cried all night
Because I wanted you back.

Julie Dont Live Here

I wander through a town
A town I new so well but it seems so strange
The wind blows cold
I remember when I thought your street was paved with gold
I walked along the street
A street I walked along many times before
The things have changed
Everything I knew was gone or rearranged
Chorus: julie dont live here anymore
She moved away many years before
How can it be, this I cant believe
Julie dont live here anymore
I walked up to your door
Last night I saw your face in the window
But it was different now
The lonely light where we used to be quite gone
I though about your smile
Your laughing eyes and the things you said to me
I felt so sorry for you
For all the nights we spent hanging around with nothing else to do
Chorus
Chorus
Julie dont live here anymore
Julie dont live here anymore
Julie dont live here anymore

Remember When Lovin Took All Night

Youre close enough
To touch again
Where you should be
Id love to think what your smile
Is leading to
I feel your eyes
Starting a fire all over me
Baby I know, I know what your arms can do
(*) remember when lovin took all night
Remember the feeling of doing it right
Its been so wrong, youve been gone too long
Now its gonna be all right
Well take all night again tonight
I think you know
That missing you
Took all my time
Loneliness never ran so deep till then
Now here we are
Lost in a feeling of feeling good
Baby you know, Ill love you again and again
Repeat (*)

Remember When You Did That To Me?

I am glad your point of view is broader now,
And you are beginning to 'see' things.
But don't expect your excitement,
To send chills up and down my spine.

I walked alone strengthening my backbone.
And no time to find to be spineless.
Something within me couldn't condone it.
I healed and mended from countless wounds,
You will not believe,
The treachery!

Don't get me wrong,
I am happy for you!
But you will discover this...
Once you 'see' things,
Others will find you obnoxious.
And at the stage you are at right now...
I can not bare to witness you go through it.
The gossips, the backstabbings.
And the friends you thought you had...
Will initiate this and from you they will split.

Remember when you did that to me?

No One Can Remember Specifics

No one can remember specifics,
As to what they've done...
To affect the life of someone else.
Even though what was done had been premeditated.
And this depends on what career field they have chosen.

However...
If anyone had looked at them,
With a raised eyebrow...
When they were just five years old,
That person can tell anyone...
What day it was, the time and date.
Weather conditions.
The model of the cars driving past on the street.
And the color of someone's eyes wearing sunglasses,
Two blocks away.

Although...
They can not recall beating someone to a pulp,
In high school.
Or being locked up in juvenile detention for the deed,
Six months before their high school graduation.
And that might have happened,
Just a few years prior to a decision that was made...
To embark on a political career.
Believing they could erase if they so chose to do it,
Any and all of their participation in wickedness.

Remember When

Roy orbison
You think shes an angel
When shes close to you
But you better watch her, buddy
Shell break your heart in two
Yeah, youll wake up one day, and then
Youll look back and say my friend
Yeah, i-i-i-i-i remember when
I remember those stars in my eyes
I remember she had me hypnotized
I thought our love would never end
But oh, what lies, and I remember when
I thought she was mine
I thought she was fine
I knew she was cool
But she played me for a fool
So dont be swayed by that pretty face
Very soon youre gonna be replaced
Yeah, i-i-i-i-i remember when
I remember when her lips were warm
I remember when she was in my arms
I remember her devils charm
The living end - oh, I remember when
So go on, believe
That she wont leave
Yeah, be smart and let her
Let her break your heart
Well mark my words, mark my words
You can believe everything youve heard
Cos i-i-i-i-i remember when
Yeah i-i-i-i-i remember when
Yeah i-i-i-i-i remember when

Remember When He Juiced Us Up...

The journey would never have been this treacherous,
If we had taken the direct route...
And quickly landed on Reality!
At least we had the light of the Sun with us.
Now we are in complete darkness!
And the commander is still convinced,
We are headed in the right direction!
Have you noticed...
He has not been in the cockpit one time?

Remember when he 'juiced' us up in the beginning?
By tossing to us cash and a drugged vision?
And he is doing the same thing now!
Can you sense disaster?
And his incompetence exposing faster?

'I'm wondering who and what IS in that cockpit!
And why this trip had to go through turbulence,
In the first place?
It just seems to be a wasted adventure,
To please an ego!
And the sight of it now...
Although much too late,
Has made ALL the passengers sick! '

Well stay buckled.
Whatever we land on...
Will be extremely long and bumpy!
Much longer than that joker,
Has parachuted away from us and it.
That's guaranteed.

I Can Remember

(eric carmen)
I can remember summer skies and your eyes
And in september when I first realized
That I needed you to be the other half of me
And my love long locked inside itself
Had finally been set free
I can remember autumn skies and goodbyes
Hurting so badly that I thought I would die
But the more things seem to change
The more they stay the same
And the lonely ones get lonelier
With every passing day
From the day we met I knew that
I should never let you get a hold on me
cause now you see I cant forget you
Oh i, I can remember mid summer skies
Love in your eyes
In the spring the sun will shine
And make the ice surrender
But it will not warm my heart
As long as I remember
Oh i, I can remember mid summer skies
Love in your eyes
And i, I will remember the times Ive cried
Since you said goodbye. I nearly died when you said
I, I cant let you down any more
So I guess this is goodbye
What, what did you do it for?
Every time I think of you and him together
I break down and cry
Oh i, I can remember the tears Ive cried
Since you said goodbye
I, I can remember the tears Ive cried
Since you said goodbye
I can remember
I can remember
I can remember

Can't You Remember?

How often have you heard me cry?
How often have you not asked why
the tears are flowing down my face?
Maybe it's guilt you can't erase.
The lack of caring has gotten to me.
And all of those tears have got to be
drying me up inside.

We started out with so much to do.
There was never a time when tears would flow
because you always seemed to know
how to keep our love alive,
how to make our love just thrive,
making me feel like a bride.

We raised our kids and moved along
helping each other when things went wrong.
And eventually we got through it all.
When the kids moved out I recall
that what we had moved out too.
Now it was just me and you,
trying to hide our pride.

I know we can't turn back the clock.
You know I still love you. You're my rock.
And so my tears are flowing again
'cause I can still remember when
all that we had was just we two
sharing a love that was brand new
when no feelings would we hide.

But somewhere in the back of my mind
I have the feeling we still might find
what it was we had back then
and maybe we can bring it back again.
If we can't and it's all gone
I know that I will have to move on
and turn a brand new tide.

Do You Remember When

[intro]
Think about it
Remember when
When we first fell in love
I just want that feeling back again
You know, what it used to be
You and me, listen
I believe we can be whatever we want to be
And I know well be alright
I can see what you need, and what you need is me
Like you did on our first night
You make everything lovely
You make everything lovely
You make everything lovely
Yes indeed, thats why Im hurting
Can we fall in love again
Like we did back then
Do you remember when
(do you remember when)
Do it like you did it back then
And then well do it again
Do you remember when
Reminiscing and more on what we had before
Makes me feel so warm inside
Wanting you constantly and feeling so sorry
That we had to say goodbye
Youre my everything, baby
Youre my everything, baby
Youre my everything, baby
Cant you see, thats why Im hurting
Can we fall in love again
Like we did back then
Do you remember when
(do you remember when)
Do it like you did it back then
And then well do it again
Do you remember when
(dont you remember, baby)
Maybe we arent all that we used to be
Maybe we could start from the beginning
Youre giving me a love that just cannot leave
So tell me that you still love me
Can we fall in love again
Like we did back then
Do you remember when
(do you remember when)
Do it like you did it back then
And then well do it again
Do you remember when
Do you remember
Do you remember
Do you remember
Do you remember when
[repeat x2]
[while:]
When we used to touch
When we used to laugh
When we used to do the things we used to do
Do you remember, come on
Do you remember , come on

I Can Remember You Screaming

I can remember you screaming
like a shattered crack house window
something obscene to the last john on death row
you railed like a comet in passing.
Your mind was a mirror
that had suffered one too many exorcisms
not to weep on the dark side
like an exhausted eclipse
when you cracked like a wishbone for the boys
and I could never imagine
what you said to yourself
when you picked yourself up after them like toys
they had forgotten they had wished for.
When you pulled the shower curtain closed
like a bruise on a nun
were you in a cloister or a confessional
or are there other vows
that can only be broken by a professional?
You were all gates to everyone
but no matter how many they passed through
they never made it as far as the garden.
But I can remember one night with you
before we both grew up through the concrete
when the angel with the flaming sword
blew herself out like a candle
and there was more to the beginning
than just a word.
Everything sprang up like mushrooms
and in every one
I could taste you like the moon.
And San Francisco in the sixties
showed us both what the world could have been like
if it had been created by a woman
but it was you alone
in the silence of our mystic complicity
that revealed what could be revealed
of your plans for paradise.
Are you in it now?
Are you dabbling your toes
in the salmon-enchanted rivers of the dawn
or leaping over the obvious rainbows upstream
to heal your urgency in the sacred pools of Goldstream
as if the sea depended on it?
The last time I saw you
the drugs had made you so thin
you looked like a ladder going down into a deep hole
and there were no demons or angels on it rungs
and the stars in your eyes had turned their dance floors
into the heads of tiny pins and celestial syringes
at the other end of the telescope that makes things small.
And then the ferry pulled away from the wharf like a planet
and left me standing dwarfed in its wake
and I remembered you, so unafraid and golden
insisting I push you higher and higher
with every return of the swing
as if you couldn't do anything
without coming full circle,
and then you jumped like a stone from a sling
or a comet from its dark halo
and I saw the moon fall out of your ring
like an opal, like an eye
and by October when you left for Mexico,
the little we had of a belated childhood was over.
I wanted to call and tell you
I still loved you like that summer
you turned, and laughed, and raised your shirt
and showed me your breasts at the end of the walkway
like something of you
you wanted me to remember.
And I do. God knows I do, by the way I hurt
like a road you didn't take
or the face you kept hidden for my sake
that still keeps on using me like tears
when you asked me in jest
but listened for the answer like a bell
if after all these years
I would still die for you
and for a few hours one afternoon
you were Josie again, happy and vain and glorious,
whenever I answered yes
and there was no chain in hell
that could bind you like a swing or a well
to the pendulous clockwork death cart axles and oxen of anything
and no pain in the silence that followed the news of your death
when I said it again
and true as a comet to its calling
or the map of a star to its falling through fire,
you streamed out forever like your hair in an exaltation of glee
lacing summer stars through the darkest places in me
screaming, higher, Patrick, higher,
push me higher than I've ever been
as if I could pick up where you had left off
like a kite on the wing
a girl on a swing
and the world was not dirty and mean.

Remember When We Were Young

remember all the games we played,
hide and seek,
and run away,
remember when we thought boys had coodies,
and girls were gross,
remember all the laughs we made,
swinging with friends,
and acting as if we were moms,
remember when we could flirt,
but didnt know what to do,
remember all the things we did,
are dreams have finally came true.

Remember When I Gave You That Rose?

Remember
Those times of yesteryear?
Remember
That night I held you near?
Remember
How we were so close?
Remember
That song we always chose?
Remember
The way we shared our mind?
Remember
How we were one of a kind?
Remember
Those words you spoke to me?
Remember
How clearly we would often see?
Remember
Your beauty and escentric pose?
remember
When I gave you that rose?

Remember When

Remember when?
Remember when we were young.
When every season held promise.
And each promise full of life.

Remember when.
Our love was rich and full.
When looking ahead
has become what was but a dream.

Remember when.
We dreamed we laughed we cried.
Then because of our love
dreams became realities.

With you by my side
remembering when.
Is but proof love's strength
lies in remembering when.

I remember when…

I remember when Heather asked me out for you
I remember when I dumped my girlfriend for you because I was even then falling for you
I remember when I went over to your home to meet Grams and I felt like I was home
I remember when I kissed you for the first time my heart skipped a beat
I remember whenever we talked I would smile like a fool. And still do
I remember when I said that I loved you you said it back.
I remember all these things and more…
