More Obvious and Demean

Who decided how we 'should' live,
Is deserved?
And the way we live...
In the pursuit of less conflict,
Is insignificant?

What few with 'pull' and 'balls'
With injurious intentions for all...
Collected to connect,
To upset
With disturbing peacelessness?

More obvious and demean.
More of this rise in hatred seen.
And...
More of a correctness comes to intervene.
It is yet seen,
But comes.
And for those who see it coming closer,
It shows.

Who decided how we should live?
In prefabricated fears to defend with deceit?
The greedy?
Of selfishness needs to fill whims,
To discard on the fields of disrespect!
Like their own children,
They feed lust, filth and cheating...
As a way in life to succeed.
With a harboring jealously that hides,
Internal insecurities.

Now..
They make attempts,
Trying to convince...
With restrictions of physical borders,
Constructed and fenced.
And...
These are those of them,
Who steal and claim power with such recklessness?
With an accepted seductiveness for desires to inspire,
Chaos!

And believe by confessing it,
Gains them a visit from the Pope?
And he comes...
Provoked!
And he told them.

All was well...
Until the few of incompetance,
Decided to whip up tricks to depict
Leadership to lead us into unending battles!
To instill,
Their version...
Of a living hell.
And doing it just for their own demonic ways to thrill.
Themselves.

And now with new inventions to restrict.
Any noncomformist ideas to circumvent...
To avoid with common sense,
What is being done.
They prepare...
Choices they announce:
'Either run away further into doubt?
Or stand to make a call for change!
If you dare.
And if you do it will be done our way.
Black? White? Hispanics or others...
Chosen to dislike as we incite division.'

Whether they proceed to succeed or fail.
Will be on their diminishing consciousness.

More obvious and demean.
And...
More of a correctness comes to intervene.
It is yet to be seen,
But comes.
And for those who see it coming closer,
It shows.

And those who oppose what is being done...
Run!
But to where?
Since when it comes,
It comes to make it clear...
It comes from everywhere to silence fears,
And dry the tears from whomever they may fall!

Older And Older Into More Darkness And Loneliness

OLDER AND OLDER INTO MORE DARKNESS AND LONELINESS

Older and older into more darkness and loneliness,
The friends are not here.

Life has so much grief and pain
Will we ever see them again?
Could we have been kinder?

Less without them, we long and go on.

How Many Poems/Can I Make Of/ These Flowers and Trees?

HOW MANY POEMS/ CAN I MAKE/ OF THESE FLOWERS AND TREES? /

How many poems
Can I make
Of these flowers and trees?
How many times
Can I say
‘The Beauty I see with my eyes
has no words for it.’?
How many times
Can I write and write,
‘The wonder of joy of this life
Fills my soul with gratitude and Awe’?
How many times can I thank God?

Everyday-
For the rest of my life-
As long as I have eyes and mind and words and heart.
Every day.

Consistency And Patience

if i were to draw you
a symbol of consistency and
patience
i will have the turtle
with moss on its house and
on its feet
some mud

i draw you too the silence
embedded in its eyes

i will show you how slowness sometimes
can be considered
wisdom

how sometimes it surrenders to nature
how it hides in its house
when cruelty begins to rule

and how at the end the impossible happens
it survives and wins and then goes back to the river
and swims away

and then it becomes a myth
a story and then you make it more intriguing
and that is where the rabbit enters into the scene

Sonnet 59: Dear, Why Make You More

Dear, why make you more of a dog than me?
If he do love, I burn, I burn in love;
If he wait well, I never thence would move;
If he be fair, yet but a dog can be.

Little he is, so little worth is he;
He barks, my songs thine own voice oft doth prove:
Bidden perhaps he fetcheth thee a glove,
But I unbid, fetch ev'n my soul to thee.

Yet while I languish, him that bosom clips,
That lap doth lap, nay lets in spite of spite
This sour-breath'd mate taste of those sugar'd lips.

Alas, if you grant only such delight
To witless thngs, then Love I hope (since wit
Becomes a clog) will soon ease me of it.

Getting More Laughter And Happiness

Morning sun makes me
Happy and cheerful
My hopes are on the peak
For a day
Full of happiness and laughter
The afternoon sun
Gives too much heat
Unable to look at it
Reminds me of hard work
I am doing
The resultant sweat
Takes some of my laughter
The evening sun
Looks very tired
Giving less shine and heat
Looks as drained as I am
Without any laughter
Only tiredness
As night sets in
I sit in the open
Underneath
The cold moon light
Ask myself
What I achieved?
After a tiring day
I feel
Satisfied and contended
For trying to do my best
With patience and dedication
Tiredness goes
Smile comes to my face
I feel happy
Go inside the room
Sleep peacefully
In the hope of
Getting more
Laughter and happiness
The next day

More Realistic and Less Corrupt

We need,
More magic in our lives.
A magic seen before our eyes.
And one in which all testifies.

We need,
More of this witnessed each day.
To lift our spirits up,
With a warmth that keeps us comforted.

We need,
More magic in our lives accepted.
One that reflects,
A magneticness that eliminates distress.

A magic applied without promises of concepts.
One that projects a fulfilling wholesomeness.
And willingly shared,
By those aware this caring is done,
Everywhere!

We need,
More magic in our lives.
A magic seen before our eyes.
And one in which all testifies.

A magic that lifts with a spark that blazes up!
A magic more realistic and less corrupt.
A magic that lifts with a spark that blazes up!
A magic more realistic and less corrupt.

We need,
More magic in our lives accepted.
One that reflects,
A magneticness that eliminates distress.
One that 'forever' puts conflicts to rest.

We Need More Love And Understanding Of Others

We need more love and understanding of others in the World we live in today
Materialism and greed for money is the cause of spiritual decay
The gap between the haves and the have nots keeps widening and too many live in poverty
How can you feel love if you are hungry and homeless love doesn't bloom amongst penury
There are millions of angry people in the bigger World out there
And who can blame them for feeling unloved and of hope living in despair
They become poorer whilst a minority grow wealthier life on them is not very fair
Without food the body does not survive one cannot live entirely on air
The wealthy keep on getting wealthier money makes more money as some do say
The greed of some gives rise to poverty for others it does seem for to be this way
Some waste food the bounty of Nature whilst many don't have food to eat
The great gifts of love and understanding of others are strangers to poverty street
And the wealthy as ever growing wealthier in their case it is much wants more
In a World where millions are growing poorer the people we tend to ignore.

More Public and Meaningful Action

If years have been spent investing in garbage.
And the nurturing of it has been conscious.
Why are there complaints from anyone,
That the reeking smell of it.
Has begun to affect their health?

So petitions are drawn,
To solicit authorized and professional help.
With a wish to get to the bottom,
Of their afflictions

And although they have been warned,
About the planting of Poison Ivy.
Those warnings were ignored.
Because those who adored.
The look of it surrounding their brick homes,
Dangling from windows and framing their doors.
Could not connect their severe itching,
To their unwillingness to listen.

'Excuse me?
There is nothing wrong with my thought process.
I have suffered like this from allergies for years.
You don't know me to talk to me like that.
I can get another doctor.
One more interested in treating my ailments.
Than one trying to tell me something's wrong with my mind.'

And upset with the responses they individually get.
They collectively decide the hiring of high priced lawyers,
To represernt their interests.
Shows them unified,
Together with a purpose meant.
To take a more public and meaningful action,
That addresses their major concerns.

No More Clichés

Beautiful face
That like a daisy opens its petals to the sun
So do you
Open your face to me as I turn the page.

Enchanting smile
Any man would be under your spell,
Oh, beauty of a magazine.

How many poems have been written to you?
How many Dantes have written to you, Beatrice?
To your obsessive illusion
To you manufacture fantasy.

But today I won't make one more Cliché
And write this poem to you.
No, no more clichés.

This poem is dedicated to those women
Whose beauty is in their charm,
In their intelligence,
In their character,
Not on their fabricated looks.

This poem is to you women,
That like a Shahrazade wake up
Everyday with a new story to tell,
A story that sings for change
That hopes for battles:
Battles for the love of the united flesh
Battles for passions aroused by a new day
Battle for the neglected rights
Or just battles to survive one more night.

Yes, to you women in a world of pain
To you, bright star in this ever-spending universe
To you, fighter of a thousand-and-one fights
To you, friend of my heart.

From now on, my head won't look down to a magazine
Rather, it will contemplate the night
And its bright stars,
And so, no more clichés.

More Tit and Less Tat For That

More tit and less tat for that.
That tat needs to step back.
Unwinding it,
Does not sit too well,
With all that's going on...
Whirpooling itself straight to hell.

Mouths shut all ears open.
All eyes wide and fixed.
These times are being removed,
From the hands of misfits.
Get over it!
Split or take a hike.
Whatever you like.
But the infighting enjoyed has spiked.
The days we live are not for children,
Who sling mud and love to back bite!

More tit and less tat for that.
That tat needs to step back.
Unwinding it,
Does not sit too well,
With all that's going on...
Whirpooling itself straight to hell.

You better snap reality back and quick.
Your sickness is about to get dismissed.
Whether or not you can handle...
It
The honesty of your ways that has created,
Your dismay!

Long before 911 became a condition,
To prolong in assisting in keeping your fears fantisized...
Whose quality of life has your ignorance supported?
Whose lies do you cling to as if in devotion?
Whose truth do you despise...
Yet ignored to create your own commotion.
And why...
Do you continue to allow your life this slide?
Into a cesspool you ride with glee.
That may not trouble you!
But there are many I see,
Who are in total disbelief!
As you wish to play tit for tat.
Your sickness has made you react like that!

Eerily In Need of More Rum and Cokers

Even though its been made clear,
The atmosphere stays eerily in need...
Of more rum,
And cokers.
Although others invited,
Join in to share their preferences.

Gin and tonic has been dropped.
And vodka with pitted olives...
Seem to have stopped,
Being the rage these days.

Beer with chasers of scotch,
Give peppermint schnapps new appeal.
When a numbing done to get drunk,
Gives some a reason to touch...
And feel beyond sober barriers.

'Harold...
Have you met my husband,
Keith? '

And the red wine with beef,
Satisfies over white...
Sipped with fish!
Depending on the 'dish' it is with!

*No I haven't...yet!
Should I?
Why?
What is he in to? *

'I had no idea this was 'pot luck'.
I would have baked a duck.
Or brought fried chicken wings.
May I taste that casserole?
Do you mind passing to me,
That delicious mix of carrots and peas...
Please? '

Even though its been made clear,
The atmosphere stays eerily in need...
Of more rum,
And cokers.
There are some 'cooler' folks...
Preferring sweetened munchies,
Socially!

Leaving rum and cokers,
A special breed of people when they meet.

'I had no idea this was 'pot luck'.
I would have baked a duck.
Or brought fried chicken wings.
May I taste that casserole?
Do you mind passing to me,
That delicious mix of carrots and peas...
Please?

These biscuits!
WHO did these biscuits?
They are wonderful! '

*Those are mine.*

~I am a cooker too, Harold.~

*That's good to know.
That's good to know,
Keith.*

Message For The Day

Don't permit your misery or defeats to depress you.
Rather let them be steps by which you descend the
deep mine where we find the precious gem of holy humility.

- St. Paola Frassinetti

may our loneliness make
us more humble and holy

may we make depression
a fact of life, an offering to

God.

Dear Bhoilseabhach

If only I had the power to confer
on you and yours all power
to free America
from its greed
and the paltry middle class

to free America
from piggish bourgeoisie

to free America
from its war mongering

to make America
land of the free
and home of the brave

to make America
more spirited and generous
beautiful happy and heroic

Hard work!

What is life without difficulty?
Is there such meaning as simplicity?
Problems only make us more stress.
And also give us white hairs.

Here are the school work.
Crash! I knelt on the floor!
Here comes the homework.
Bam! I fell on all fours!

' What are you doing? '
My mother boomed.
' School work and homework, Mom! '
I grumbled.

To be continued...

Making No Sense

If a determination previously made,
To ignore suggestions recommended...
By the ones who submitted them,
As making no sense.
Why should anyone then get upset...
By those again solicited,
Who refuse to make any more suggestions?

And at who's expense is this waste of time,
When the ones authorized to make decisions...
Can not make up their minds to decide.
Only to find fault and blame those they accuse,
As being rude and too tempermental.
Un-co-operative.
AND unpredictably moody.
