Now, God Be Thanked Who Has Matched Us With His Hour

Now, God be thanked Who has matched us with His hour,
And caught our youth, and wakened us from sleeping,
With hand made sure, clear eye, and sharpened power,
To turn, as swimmers into cleanness leaping,
Glad from a world grown old and cold and weary,
Leave the sick hearts that honour could not move,
And half-men, and their dirty songs and dreary,
And all the little emptiness of love!

Oh! we who have known shame, we have found release there,
Where there's no ill, no grief, but sleep has mending,
Nought broken save this body, lost but breath;
Nothing to shake the laughing heart's long peace there
But only agony, and that has ending;
And the worst friend and enemy is but Death.

Person who is not educated and illiterate

If any person, who is not educated and illiterate,
likes to speak in a gathering of learned audience,

it is similar to a woman, who has no breasts,
desirous of having a sexual life and family.

That person who has consummate skill doesn't really need any instruction
but someone who is blinded by ignorance or pride can be a real obstruction.

The Traveled Man

Sometimes I wish the railroads all were torn out,
The ships all sunk among the coral strands.
I am so very weary, yea, so worn out,
With tales of those who visit foreign lands.

When asked to dine, to meet these traveled people,
My soup seems brewed from cemetery bones.
The fish grows cold on some cathedral steeple,
I miss two courses while I stare at thrones.

I'm forced to leave my salad quite untasted,
Some musty, moldy temple to explore.
The ices, fruit and coffee all are wasted
While into realms of ancient art I soar.

I'd rather take my chance of life and reason,
If in a den of roaring lions hurled
Than for a single year, ay, for one season,
To dwell with folks who'd traveled round the world.

So patronizing are they, so oppressive,
With pity for the ones who stay at home,
So mighty is their knowledge, so aggressive,
I ofttimes wish they had not ceased to roam.

They loathe the new, they quite detest the present;
They revel in a pre-Columbian morn;
Just dare to say America is pleasant,
And die beneath the glances of their scorn.

They are increasing at a rate alarming,
Go where I will, the traveled man is there.
And now I think that rustic wholly charming
Who has not strayed beyond his meadows fair.

to God who is not speaking

to God who has not spoken
i give the benefit of doubt that he is there glancing
to God who is merely glancing
i give the benefit of the doubt that he is all loving
to God who is all loving and not interfering
i give the benefit of the doubt that he is simply waiting
for the right hour for the right timing for the ripe season
to God who is there waiting and all knowing
i give the benefit of the doubt that all these sufferings of mankind
shall soon end with all his beneficence and magnificence

to God for God and by God, i drink to that
Cheers! God is coming! Cheers! I have always drank to that.
All night and all day, my heart aches in worship.
To God, Through God, and By God
May he speak, and touch, and save us.

The Girl Who Has Everything

(dewayne blackwell, larry bastian)
I just got the wedding invitation.
Theres gonna be a celebration like youve never seen.
Just fit for a queen.
Shes got her mom and daddys blessing.
Shes got a long white wedding dress and his wedding ring.
Oh what can I bring.
What do you give the girl who has everything.
Shes got the man who used to hold me.
Shes got the man who told me I was his everything.
Shes got the man who used to love me,
Who placed no one above me.
How he made my heart sing.
Oh what can I bring.
What do you give
The girl who has everything.
Shell hear his promise of forever.
Shell hear him say what I could never get him to say.
Oh hell say it today.
Shell hold his hand and throw the flowers.
Drink champagne till the morning hours.
The queen has her king, and the world on a string.
Repeat chorus

Learn The Basics

A worthless person is like a man or woman who does not provide for his or her family;
But, i am like a virgin who is now betrothed in the land of your muse of joy! !
So, learn the basics to do the right things always in this life;
For, a child grows from drinking his or her own mother's milk from the beginning on!
But, eating solid food after growing up is like, the muse of the colours of the rainbow in the land of sweet love.

Menace

Menace to the life we hold dear,
A stranger has come upon us and our shoulders
Needing safety as much as us,
Yet fed with rebuke and talent of crime.

Mania is the red odour as blood,
He is this smell we describe in our body,
As may strengthen the visitors
Who have smelt of this Christian misdeed.

We say: “You are not a good man! For you smell!
And you taunt us with your bad breath.”
Whereupon the strange person who has dignity
Smokes from his cigarette a nuisance and bad health.

This is the smoke and mist on the view,
And we heed that solvent and solute
To find concentration as a solution.
Learning has been derived again and again.

To remain close

It is not essential for person to remain closer
This has remained puzzle and direct poser
You may not know a person even if with proximity
It will be your great wisdom and sheer ability

What you try to know of a person?
It will be linked to various reasons
If you have love and affection
You will be very watchful in your action

You have definite angle in mind
You may not try for any other angle to find
You have little anxiety about person’s character
You have fixed all your attention on one factor

I was such person who has not claimed closeness
Yet find his company so enterprising with firmness
He is there at any time with you to take side
There is apparently no link to enlarge or wide

It may give immense love and protection
If you are always ready for action
This will prove you self to be good friend
But will not close the link with abrupt end

This is what generally happens in sweet relation
When more than two people have same indication
It is difficult to go close and maintain liaison
Even though you have right and every reason

If you can watch it from distance
You must show courage and presence
It will prove at right time and place
As you have withdrawn from active race

Love is wavering

There is no person
Who has not met a person
By whom the person
Wasn’t aroused to feel,
‘I wish I married you’
Either before or after
The marriage of either.
Love is wavering

Esther, A Sonnet Sequence: LVI

Who has not wept with Manon? Of all tales
That thrill youth's fancy or to tears or mirth
None other is there where such grief prevails,
Such passionate pity for the loves of Earth.
Who has not wept with Manon in her sin,
Wept in her punishment? What angry heart
Has been unmoved in youth to see her win
With those sad archers to the inhuman cart?
Who has not followed her beyond the seas,
And sold his life for her, and bowed his pride,
And sinned all sins to buy her back to ease,
And died all deaths to venge her when she died?
And I, blest boy, who each new happy night
When all was done still lived in her delight!

You

You are an unexpected surprise.
Pleasant
Like cotton candy melting on the tongue.
I didn't know I could feel this way again,
Didn't expect to be swept off my feet.
I trust you
Like I did my first love.
For some reason when you complement me,
I believe it.
I don't dismiss it as I have with so
Many others.
I like the fact that you still read the news paper in the mornings
And
Don't log onto the internet for all the news.
I like the fact that you were YOU
When we met,
Grounded, down to earth, comfortable in your skin.
There was a catch in my throat when our eyes met.
But, when I felt the pull,
For the first time, in a very long time
I didn't push
You
Away
As I have so many others.
I was comfortable with you.
It felt like,
Putting on my favorite pair of jeans
Drinking hot chocolate
Rain on my face
Joy
Natural.
I let you in
Told you who I really was, nothing held back..
And,
You accepted me for me.
The fact that I like to dress up and go out on Friday night,
But,
Sundays, I'm a homebody.
The fact that I like to listen to music and dance when we cook,
But,
Need quiet to sleep, so you mute the T.V.
The fact that when I'm upset, I need my space
But, I'm still afraid of the dark..
And,
When we talk about having kids,
You say you want three
And
When you said the last one would be a daughter,
I laughed, when you said you wanted her to be like me.
I love you for your heart.
I love you for your mind.
I love you so deeply
Because you let me and accepted me for me.
Thank god you don't have and over zealous religious nature.
You're the first person who has not
Tried to understand or change my tumultuous
Relationship with god.
I respect you so much for letting it be.
You notice the details, like when I'm tired.
Help me, in just the ways I need.
I thought men like you were a myth.
So glad to know I was wrong and you do exist!
My love knows no bounds for you
For the longest time, I wouldn't let myself believe
That happy endings weren't just for fairy- tales
And I would have a life of such bliss and peace.
