Another day that finds her living yet,

No, it is not your fault!
Oh how many times must I say this, it is not your fault.
It is not your fault, from now on I want you to believe it, it is not your fault.
Try always and forever from this time on to master the fact that it is not your fault.
It is not your fault, Nobody is to blame, no thing, no way, no how, it is not your fault.
Since childhood have you not continually taken the blame upon yourself, It was not your fault.
Never wishing to cast doubt upon what a wonderful person you are, It is not your fault.
Out side of the love of friends and family are you seen as just a number, No, it's not your fault.
They may never get close enough to see the light you radiate, No, it is not your fault
Yesterday, troubles, debt, sorrow, disappointment, failure dogged your step, It was not your fault.
Over years, with hindsight your advantage, do you now see the illuminated sign on every corner?
Understanding dawns at last, Understanding all and everything gone before, was not your fault.
Redemption now at hand, you are at the gateway all your skills intact, you are loved with all faults.
Faults have given you a tool bag filled with wisdom, mistakes having been made rectified always.

Guffaw, Scouring Hyena
In the luxuriant, yet petrified floor
Of the torrid palms of her savanna
Where the tigers' prance and scamper
And the farce blades of soughing grasses
Are combed to placidness upon their heavy paws
Whilst his svelte and famished pillars stood
And grinded upon the torrid pebbles
And they rattled in an apprehension
And trembled upon the covetousness
Instigated by tiger's vitriol that she identified
Whilst he sulked in the corner of her
Sparse stream of bigoted empathy
Shrouded in a discreet subterfuge;
Discreetly flagrant, a blatant contradiction
Yet no one pried, and no one understood
Not even the vicarious vulturine brethren,
Witnessing the gnashing of a tooth on a tooth,
Perched amongst the fringes of the dunes
That climbs and crumples upon the palms
Of a sweaty savanna, like fingers or claws
Clutching a prison, enclosing the meager hyena
With his tongue jutting out and slavering
Contouring a wryly bent grin, yet again
No one understood, or better yet,
No one cared, not even her scrolling clouds
That hazily undulated into his musings
That drove a frenzy to keel over just to taste
The dry and desiccated streaks of her air
A carpet of her hair, to her languid head
And in this scavenging, you may find him
If you would twist your conceited vision,
Vindictive and consumed by vanity,
He, the hyena that he is, wagging its tail
Gilded with a lacquer smile and taunt snicker
Filling the vacuous legroom of the grounds
With a dazing cacophony, the hyena's laugh;
A chortle for a bawl, he indisputably rolls
And a snivel for a snigger, stalled amidst the tigers
This is an epistle for his glory riveted in a mockery
And this not proposed for your, neither her, mercy
This is another anthology of a thousand hunting game
For a despondent scavenger, for a hyena,
Who had reduced himself in harlequin's mask
In order to live on, even on the edges,
Of her, inexorably, and your, obsequious villages
Guffaw, scouring hyena.

IV. Tertium Quid
True, Excellency—as his Highness says,
Though she's not dead yet, she's as good as stretched
Symmetrical beside the other two;
Though he's not judged yet, he's the same as judged,
So do the facts abound and superabound:
And nothing hinders that we lift the case
Out of the shade into the shine, allow
Qualified persons to pronounce at last,
Nay, edge in an authoritative word
Between this rabble's-brabble of dolts and fools
Who make up reasonless unreasoning Rome.
"Now for the Trial!" they roar: "the Trial to test
"The truth, weigh husband and weigh wife alike
"I' the scales of law, make one scale kick the beam!"
Law's a machine from which, to please the mob,
Truth the divinity must needs descend
And clear things at the play's fifth act—aha!
Hammer into their noddles who was who
And what was what. I tell the simpletons
"Could law be competent to such a feat

"Is end o' the Trial, last link of a chain
"Whereof the first was forged three years ago

Thurso’s Landing
I
The coast-road was being straightened and repaired again,
A group of men labored at the steep curve
Where it falls from the north to Mill Creek. They scattered and hid
Behind cut banks, except one blond young man
Who stooped over the rock and strolled away smiling
As if he shared a secret joke with the dynamite;
It waited until he had passed back of a boulder,
Then split its rock cage; a yellowish torrent
Of fragments rose up the air and the echoes bumped
From mountain to mountain. The men returned slowly
And took up their dropped tools, while a banner of dust
Waved over the gorge on the northwest wind, very high
Above the heads of the forest.
Some distance west of the road,
On the promontory above the triangle
Of glittering ocean that fills the gorge-mouth,
A woman and a lame man from the farm below
Had been watching, and turned to go down the hill. The young
woman looked back,
Widening her violet eyes under the shade of her hand. 'I think
they'll blast again in a minute.'
And the man: 'I wish they'd let the poor old road be. I don't
like improvements.' 'Why not?' 'They bring in the world;
We're well without it.' His lameness gave him some look of age
but he was young too; tall and thin-faced,
With a high wavering nose. 'Isn't he amusing,' she said, 'that
boy Rick Armstrong, the dynamite man,
How slowly he walks away after he lights the fuse. He loves to
show off. Reave likes him, too,'
She added; and they clambered down the path in the rock-face,
little dark specks
Between the great headland rock and the bright blue sea.
II
The road-workers had made their camp
North of this headland, where the sea-cliff was broken down and
sloped to a cove. The violet-eyed woman's husband,
Reave Thurso, rode down the slope to the camp in the gorgeous
autumn sundown, his hired man Johnny Luna
Riding behind him. The road-men had just quit work and four
or five were bathing in the purple surf-edge,
The others talked by the tents; blue smoke fragrant with food
and oak-wood drifted from the cabin stove-pipe
And slowly went fainting up the vast hill.
