Today as I sat
I thought of you
I thought of the days
When you and I sat
At that very place
Watching local artists play
On any given day
When you and I would “bond”
Today I realized
It’s quite a shame
That pride could take that away
Only when you lose
What you enjoy most
You realize its importance and value
Today as I sat
Thinking of those days
I remembered the fun I had
Today I had such fun
But you weren’t there
Today I had such fun
With someone who may never care the way you do
Today I had such fun
But I now know it can never compare
(For Dad)
