The Fake Smile
‘The smile’ floating on tears
Mock joy wishing to overcome
Shadow of grief and solitude
Fighting all alone with the memories
As a lonely warrior in battle field
Heart loses the control on the beam
At last smile faints, loses its gleam
Eyes, gloomy tells story of its own
In an awkward silence the smile drowns
Tries to swim across the tears alone
Defeated finally! Tears roll on my cheeks
Smile vanishes, endeavors its best to shine
To hide his trouble stakes its sanctity.
Ruled the face for years, those loathed tears
Forgotten smile lost into tears years ago
Has returned today with an immense glow
