Silent Song
there is a silence in my heart
as I stand by the water
watching the waves at play

as I listen to the wind
whipping round my feet of clay

as I think of how once I loved -
and lost you yesterday
can those waves turn back the time
when I was yours and you were mine?
yes - there is a silence in my heart
as I leave this breathless day
