People Like Us

Life is given as a gift
So it should be taken as one
We should wake up thankful that the day came
When you feel like you have it worst
You can always look at the people who have nothing
Then you would realize that you have everything
The people who have nothing
Don’t take life for granted
They are very grateful for everyday that comes
But people like us who have lots
Take life for granted
We don’t stop to realize what we’ve got
Then before we know it, it’s gone.
Its people like us
Who lead the troops to war.
And kill thousands, all over land.
Frankly I don’t understand why we
All can’t just get over it and increase the love
We all have to have material things such as cell phones
Most of us couldn't even go a day with out them.
Most of them have never even seen a cell phone
Yet, we still take things for granted
Everyday you should think about those
People when your getting mad because you
Can’t get your way
And maybe then one day
People will stop taking things for granted
Especially life
And live every day as if it were their last.
People like us need
To be like people like them
