Is what we all seem to hear
Even though
there are
many
many
of us
screaming
on the
inside
I
am
breaking,
someone is yelling
I
am
dying,
another shouts
Mother hits me
Boyfriend berates me
Friends bully me
Dad drinks
Sister's pregnant
Mom's in jail
I'm sick
I'm dying
I'm hurt
I'm done
I'm tired
I'm unhappy
I'm scared
I'm lonely
Everyone
has
something
Something
we
have
to
deal
with
Something that frightens us
Something that hurts us
Something that breaks us
And usually
People
aren't
around
to
hold
you
up
And
keep
you
safe
A lot of people
will not
hear you
But
maybe
Someone will see it
And hope
is
stronger than
anything.
