My love light
Desolate black days,
Where nothing is pleasing,
Everything an excuse for anger.
A rainy day car ride,
The antipathy in this car,
A reflection of my own mind.
Gray walls and power lines,
So many miles passed,
No reason or meaning to them.
Nothing good on the radio,
Not a thought in my head.
One light shines:
My one love,
My last petal,
My only cure.

My student is interested in creating a slide show of your poem for class and would like some biographical information to complete his assignment. Would you be willing to share a few things about yourself? Educational background, family, etc. Thank you. |
