Love in romance is just an illusion
why want when you can't give?
Love in romance is never free,
it is never unconditional
even to the delusional
unreciprocated, it cannot thrive
unappreciated, it withers
unrewarded, it strays
Love in romance is often extreme
it calls for guts
and fools rush in
it may end in regrets
though some seem to win
why give when you don't want?
Love in romance is just an illusion
'tis but an imagined condition
that is why when disillusioned
It barely tarries for recollection.
