Logical Thoughts, Notions of an Idea

Thought is an animal with rage that's unmatched
fighting its way through a mind
biting its way from behind

Logic is the beast from an egg that had hatched
gnashing its teeth into something
bashing its feet for nothing

An idea is a drug for the helplessly stoned
making you high not knowing why
faking a lie and watching you die

A notion is a train ride to a far away home
finding its place and laying its waste
winding its taste into such sad disgrace

If this is all true.....

The animal with an idea is to be feared at all costs
and the beast with a notion naturally starts out to be lost
fighting and gnashing as much as they will
biting and bashing until both would be ill

Together they will ride this train and be high
relief on their faces and release a great sigh
for rage that's unmatched and an egg that had hatched
for the helplessly stoned in a far-away home
