Killing Conscience
Excuse me! Please turn the lights off
I am trying to hide
I am trying to hide from someone
Rising up inside me
Don’t want to see
I will wait till he leaves
My animal was hungry
It needed to be feed
It pulled my roots apart
Where was he?
Now I don’t need his advice
I have been eaten
I have paid the price
And as the sun rises out of my window
I try to bring him down
I am shedding tears
Tears to get him drowned
The next time my animal rises
I will keep him around
I will make sure
He’s lost, never to be found.
