and the absence of light.

and I’m sorry for spite,
and I’m sorry for breathing
on your neck every night.
I’m sorry for holding,
sorry I let go,
I’m sorry for knowledge
and what we happened to know.
I’m sorry for begging
and I’m sorry for tears.
Most of all I am so sorry
that you are not here.
