I Made My Life
I made my life
this lonely place
a place of black and gray
pulled the blinds on my life
put off things bright or gay
I made my life
this slippery mess
a place of no firm foot hold
stumbling, staggering, shuffling
wobbling and failing for a goal
I made my life
this pitful moan
a place of heart screaming pain
crying lips, void in spirit
cringing in a bath of shame
I made my life
this gapping open land fill
a place for no thing that's good
Rubbish my bossom buddy
trash and cast off
my neighborhood
I made my life
this garbage dump
a place of riggorous blight
head over heels I plunge
destroying good on left and right
I made my life
this open grave
a place to wait to die
walking meldew, standing I rot
while watching life go by
I made my life
this miserable wreckage
A structure torn and broken to the base
twisted, rented, tortured skelton
moot of style, splendor or grace
I made my life
this wonder
A place of investgating the why
seeking, searching and inspecting
Yet! Knowledge, understanding and wisdom
these nough do I aspy
I made my life
this godless pathway
soul and spirit crying out; REPENT! !
now thanking God
Now thanking God
this wretched life's not spent
