Mother why do you cry
When I see you happy when you smile
Mother why do you deny
The pain I gave and tears you cry
Mother I know deep in your eyes
A grief that lives and a child that cries.
Holding your fingers I’ve learnt to walk
Footprints you left is all I’ve to follow
I owe more than a life to you
