I Wait For My Turn In The Post- Office
I WAIT FOR MY TURN IN THE POST- OFFICE
I wait for my turn in the post- office
Impatience breathes all around me
I tell myself to be quiet-
I am seated after all
And now have a pen in my hand.
Others can waste time waiting
But I will write a few lines for Eternity
I remember the agitation
The sense of meaninglessness
Which have accompanied me all day today
And yesterday
And many days
And all my days.
I write these lines
With relief,
As if I am really doing something.
