I Have Lost The Poetry Within Myself
I HAVE LOST THE POET WITHIN MYSELF
I have lost the poetry within myself
I am dry and dead inside
Simple words are all I have
And I do not feel them strongly.
The ‘visionary gleam’
What is that?
The chill down the spine?
Where can that possibly come from?
The icy sea within broken?
How can that possibly be done?
Recollected in tranquility?
Where is any ‘tranqillity’?
There is Poetry
But it is somewhere else
And even that
I cannot feel.
