I Have Been Away From Myself
I HAVE BEEN AWAY FROM MYSELF
I have been away from myself-
I try to return,
But I do not have the feeling yet.
Without poetry
I lose where I am-
I sense myself at a loss
I cannot be sure of anything.
If this is a poem
I am returning to myself-
Happy days again-
I write and I believe.
